We are not “Manufactured” nor are we doing anything “fishy” – we are concerned Americans

The White House just released this on their blog which now asks people to report their friends and neighbors to the White House.

Opponents of health insurance reform may find the truth a little inconvenient, but as our second president famously said, "facts are stubborn things." Scary chain emails and videos are starting to percolate on the internet, breathlessly claiming, for example, to "uncover" the truth about the President’s health insurance reform positions....Since we can’t keep track of all of them here at the White House, we’re asking for your help. If you get an email or see something on the web about health insurance reform that seems fishy, send it to [e-mail].

In addition, many of the National Reporters, Congressmen, Senators and even the Press Secretary of the White House are saying that the angry and frustrated Americans showing up to voice their displeasure at the Health Care town hall meetings are nothing more than “manufactured” protests. They actually go so far as to say, “…that the majority of Americans want health care reform and these small groups of protesters are in the minority.”

Where are they getting their information from as almost every poll out there shows over 50% of Americans oppose the Health Care Reform and the costs associated with it? Are they blatantly lying to us or are they just misinformed?

The people showing up at these town hall meetings across the nation are not “manufactured” they are just everyday Americans, the majority of which, just want to voice their displeasure at what our government is doing. This is a democracy isn’t it? This IS the way it’s supposed to work right? The representative is supposed to have these town hall meetings to get feedback NOT to lecture to the constituents about what they are doing and why WE must accept it.

NBC news correspondent Andrea Mitchell went so far as to say, “…Americans don’t like what they are hearing, but they may not know what’s good for them…” Bill Maher in a CNN interview called Americans “Stupid” and when he was asked to clarify what he meant by that he said”…it needs no clarification.”

Why is it when you disagree with a liberal you are an idiot or stupid? Calling us names to try to discredit us does not make our opinions, ideas and solutions invalid. The liberal press and our Representatives in Washington have seen the silent majority stay silent time and time again over the years which empowers them to push more and more of their socialist agenda. The Cap & Trade and Health Care Reform Bills are examples of how our representatives are blatantly ignoring us. Nancy Pelosi actually went so far as to shut down the house last week so opposing viewpoints could not be heard on CSPAN.

Representative John Conyers – Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee recently said in a speech at a National Press Club Luncheon, “I love these members that get up and say READ THE BILL! What good is reading the bill if it’s a thousand pages and you don’t have 2 days and 2 lawyers to find out what it means after you read the bill?” Excuse me? You are a lawyer, Mr. Conyers, so if you can’t take the time to read it and understand it that should be a clue to you that something is wrong.

Another interesting note is that neither our Representatives nor our President will answer the question, “Will you be on the same Health Care plan you are making the rest of us take?”

Enough is Enough! We need to keep the pressure on these people but at the same time we need to prepare to send our Representatives a message they cannot ignore…YOU’RE FIRED!
