WHY ALL TRUE CONSERVATIVES SHOULD LOVE NEWT..THE BEST SPEAKER OF THE HOR IN THE 20TH CENTURY

As a young wife and Mom, I  became interested in politics during the Lewinsky mess. I could not believe that America had elected the first white trash POTUS.!!   I became a CSPAN junkie  entering the no spin zone (hey it was neutral back in the day) even tho it was owned by a liberal democrat. I watched CSPAN daily and learned all that I could about the HOR. I became aware of  one man who was referred to as a back bencher.( someone who would stir the pot with straight talk and tell the truth about the democrats. He drove the dems up the  wall and he loved doing it. He was the most brilliant man in the whole HOR. He was amazing. No PC talk.

I researched him and read that he was an American History professor. who in this day of out and out lying about how we were founded, taught the true founding of our nation. I learned that adults came from all over the South East to take his class in Georgia. Imagine that!!! Amongst all the idiot professors mostly democrats, He was teaching the true founding and folks were starving to death for this truth and drove in from surrounding states to hear him. He is a great patriot

He came up with the Contract with America. He promised if America would elect Republicans to the HOR that they would bring every one of the promises to the floor and  give each one an up or down vote. This was an important thing to do because the dems hid away in committees the popular items that America wanted done. The DC saying was, Committees were where bills went to die. The contract did not promise to PASS THEM, ONLY TO BRING THEM TO THE FLOOR FOR A VOTE.  Much to everyone's surprise, they all passed except the Term Limits. LOL wonder why?

Newt was voted in as speaker and put a good team together. He ran a bottom up, fair leadership team and show cased all the members who were  great at their jobs. He had to work with Clinton who was POTUS at that time and Newt still handled him and drug him kicking and screaming to the table to sign welfare reform.  He grandfathered in the oldest on welfare and required that the able bodied go to work. he made them attend classes to get enough education  to get jobs. they had to attend unless hospitalized and if they tried to skip and lay out, taxis were sent to pick them up and drive them. if refused. they were immediately removed from the welfare roles. lol, that said there were no refusals. Some say you can lead a horse to water but you cannot make him drink. I think Newt would call that nonsense, the horse just needs a 2x4  applied in the right place and that gets his attention and he is then plumb  proud to drink.

next came balancing the budget. Newt balanced the budget all  of the years he was speaker.  BTW the only time in modern history that it has been done. He drug Clinton again,  kicking and screaming to the table to sign that as well. Later Clinton took full credit for that and for welfare reform as well and the propaganda media, always partners in crime with the dems, allowed him to.

The media was beside itself. Newt was attacked day and night. Stories came out that he had asked his wife  for a divorce while she was in the hospital with cancer. Their 2 daughters denied it over and over again.  We had no conservative media   back in that day  or even FNC. Weak minded folks, who were spoon fed by the media  could not think for themselves so they bought into letting the media do their thinking for them. Folks who are not smart but want to appear smart, always accept the so called conventional wisdom of the day. So Sad really. I was taught at home to follow a thought through to its' logical conclusion; To see the bottom line; to get the big picture and not let the trees keep me from seeing the forest.

I said all that to say this: We have a second chance now to bring back the greatest Speaker of the 20th Century, and all his great ideas. to help our NEW POTUS IN 2016, rebuild and restore this nation and make her great again. Newt is a fierce WARRIOR and with another fierce warrior in the white house, would have, the best of the best chance to get this done as quickly as possible. Newt would name a team of CONSERVATIVES, Jordan Amash and Webster you can bet would be there beside him.

Good post. Newt was brilliant. An unfortunate consequence of his brilliance was the democrats can say how good everything was under Clinton
