Calling the terrorist radical islamic terrorist also will not stop the terrorist. Understanding the purpose of the terrorist act and the source of that plan and having a plan and resource to interrupt that plan will stop terrorist acts. Actually it is an excerpt from a history of the Russian Turkish Ottoman Empire War. Russia was fighting for Christendom. Besides in 1877 Russia was still Christian.

In 1054, the Great Schism between the Roman Church and the Byzantine Church occurred; splitting it into Christendom in the West and Greek Orthodoxy in the East. The Russians were and remain aligned w/the latter the along w/ the Moldovans and Serbs, while the Lithuanians. Poles and Ukrainians were aligned w/the  former.

Again, the champion of Christianity was the Papacy and the western Knights, never the Russians.

M almost any country today could crush the jihadists Caliphate at any time. They don't because Russia and China are behind the movement. There aren't enough jihadists muslims to cause anyone great harm. These people have been trying to accomplish their goal for thousands of years. They are like an insect a pest but manageable. If Russia and China would side with the rest of the world we could end their uprising in a few days. But this annoyance is just what these two world powers have been searching for for decades.
