Citizens Dedicated To Preserving Our Constitutional Republic

Scary isn't it. And too many people, myself included, are beginning to feel there's not anything we can do. I've written letters, made calls, even appeared at a very few committee meetings in the state assembly, but don't really notice much accomplished. Complained in stores after catching a headline (my husband wishes I'd be quiet.) And send money to candidates I really like. (also fill my care with stickers - hubby won't drive it.)
Force feed my daughter and grand kids with what I discover and expect them to follow my lead. "Course being our family members, I can only hope they have the smarts to listen.
As for being better off, not really, we are helping our granddaughter with keeping their finances in order, helping our grandson so he can have a car to get to work, and participate in higher education - think it is a waste nowadays, though.
And helping our daughter keep her home warm - loss of her husband, and being disabled she does try. And she just got a note from SSI - they want to make her pay back earlier benefits - we went through this 3 years ago, right after her husband died. She won then, and will again, but it gets to be a trial for her and the rest of the family.
And the health care provisions I was granted when I retired from Oscar? Gone. Now instead of the one family policy premium that Oscar Mayer/Kraft helped cover (I paid the rest) has now been changed. We now have to go through Tower One Exchange and have 4 policies now - 1 prescription for me, 1 for hubby, 1 medical supplemental for me, 1 for hubby.
And, though (now called Kraft/Heinz) the company has promised to provide a fund to be used for the health care premiums - we have no idea yet, what that amount will be. And we do not have access to it - must go through Tower One Exchange to get reimbursed. Thank you Obama, we just love this new program.
Famine is prevalent in societies that do not take prioritizing living responsible.. Helping them with gifts of food only enables the situation to exist. If you do not treat the symptom, you can not fix the problem with band aids.
And has has happened time and again, the food and money does not get to those in need. After all government comes first.
