Left wing activists in Seattle held a gun control rally disguised as a gun safety event this weekend. Around 40 people showed up, including media and children who came with their parents.
It appears most people knew the agenda was anti-gun beforehand.
Dave Workman reported at The Examiner:
Seattle ‘gun safety’ rally is really about gun control, say activists
KIRO is reporting that this afternoon in downtown Seattle, a group of “gun safety advocates” is holding a rally starting at 3 p.m. at Westlake Park, with Trudi Inslee, wife of Gov. Jay Inslee, as a speaker, along with Alorie Gilbert with Moms Demand Action.
Second Amendment rights activists only learned of the event this morning and are calling this what it really is, a gun control event. One reader responding this morning to the KIRO story noted, “I think that to say this rally is not anti-gun is kind of disingenuous. And if this is really about gun safety then we should be hearing a proposal to have gun safety taught in schools. But we won’t.”…
If this were a safety event, there would be NRA-certified firearms instructors, hunter education instructors and people teaching the safe handling of firearms, not trying to ban them.
Here’s a video from the event:

Illegals take the train to America and free stuff provided by you, the taxpayer.
Hillary Clinton promised Democrats in Iowa that as president she would “go beyond Obama” in embracing illegal aliens into the country.
The Examiner reported:
Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton, pledging to go “beyond President Obama” in embracing illegal immigrants, said that she will use executive powers as president to go around Congress to end deportations.
At Saturday’s Iowa Jefferson-Jackson Day Dinner, she also called illegals “law abiding.”
During a period of her 25 minute address when she was listing her political promises, she turned to immigration to say that she would go farther than Obama to protect the 12 million illegal immigrants in America, especially families.
“I am going to back and support what President Obama has done to protect Dreamers and their families, to use executive action to prevent deportation,” Clinton said to cheers in the audience of about 6,000.
“If we can not get comprehensive immigration reform as we need, and as we should, with a real path to citizenship that will actually grow our economy then I will go as far as I can, even beyond President Obama, to make sure law abiding, decent, hard working people in this country are not ripped away from their families,” she added.

Leftist Latino activists started a petition last week seeking to bar leading Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump from holding a campaign rally at West High School in Sioux City, Iowa on Tuesday.
The petition accuses Trump of being an ‘anti-immigrant bully’ whose appearance at the high school “puts Latino students in danger.”
Trump supporters are accused in the petition of having “accosted and attacked immigrants outside Trump events” in Ames and Dubuque.
Pro-illegal alien activists have disrupted recent Trump rallies in Richmond, Virginia and Miami, Florida. Low-grade violence broke out at the events between the protesters and fed-up Trump supporters prompting the protesters to be ejected from the rallies by organizers and police.
Trump has shown patience with the disruptive protesters, saying, “That’s why we have freedom of speech,” to the crowds. However, the Hill reported that Trump’s tolerance wore down after repeated disruptions at the Miami rally.
The Sioux City school district quickly addressed the petition, stating that the Trump rally would go ahead as scheduled. That prompted an effort to organize a large protest at the rally Tuesday evening.
The petition, started Thursday on the MoveOn site was initiated by Ismael Valadez, of South Sioux City and his nephew Francisco Valadez who is a 2012 graduate of West High School, reported the Sioux City Journal.
Over 1,200 people have signed the petition which has a goal of 2,000.
The Valadezes are organizing a protest at the Trump rally that has garnered over 800 RSVPs on Facebook, according to the Journal.
“Ismael Valadez said he envisions a “silent protest rally” on the school grounds when Trump speaks at 6 p.m. He said the goal will not be to get into a war of words with Trump supporters.
“”Most schools are working hard to try to prevent bullying in their institutions,” Ismael Valadez said.
“”What kind of message is West High and the Sioux City Community School District sending, by giving a stage and a platform to a bully like Donald Trump?””
The text of the MoveOn petition reads:
“Donald Trump is a bully and doesn’t belong in Iowa schools. His anti-immigrant rhetoric is inciting violence toward Latinos across Iowa and across the country and puts Latino students in danger. Dr. Paul Gausman and the Sioux City Community School District should not promote bullying in their schools by giving Donald Trump a platform to attack members of the Sioux City community.
“Donald Trump is a bully. He doesn’t belong in Iowa schools. However, he will be speaking at West High School in Sioux City, at 6:00pm, on Tuesday, October 27th.
“Parents and students in Sioux City believe that Sioux City Community School District should not promote bullying in their schools by allowing Donald Trump to hold an anti-immigrant and anti-Latino event on their facilities.
“Donald Trump’s anti immigrant and anti Latino rhetoric is dangerous for immigrants and Latinos. Trump supporters in Ames and Dubuque accosted and attacked immigrants outside Trump events. We fear that his rhetoric will put Latino members of the Sioux City Community in risk of being attacked as well.
“Please join with us and demand that Dr. Paul Gausman and the Sioux City Community School District stop putting Latino students in danger.”
Sioux City Community School District Superintendent Dr. Paul Gausman issued a statement Friday on the petition.reported Siouxland Matters
“Late last week, officials from Donald Trump’s campaign inquired about renting the West High School gymnasium for a political rally held on the evening of October 27. It is not unusual for a political candidate to request to use a Sioux City Community School District facility, if available. Secretary of State John Kerry rented North High School in 2004 for his presidential campaign, President Barack Obama rented Irving Elementary School in 2007 and 2008, and Sen. John McCain and former governor Sarah Palin rented West High School in 2008.
“School board policy 1004.1 reads, “The District’s Board of Directors believes that school facilities are community resources intended to be used to the maximum, including making them available for non-school functions.” Following school board policy and past practice, the District approved the rental of West High School for Mr. Trump. As a District, we do not endorse nor support any political party or political candidate. We treat each rental request on a content neutral basis.
“We realize that members of our community may choose to exercise their constitutional rights by gathering in response to Mr. Trump’s visit. This situation presents an opportunity for us to model for our students and community how to properly demonstrate the rights of free speech and the freedom of assembly, and the democratic process.”

Leading Democratic Party presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, along with her husband former President Bill Clinton, autographed a ‘Hillary Clinton nutcracker’ carried by a supporter at the Democratic Party of Iowa’s Jefferson-Jackson dinner in Des Moines Saturday night.
The Clintons autographing the nutcracker was reported on Twitter by ABC News reporter Liz Kreutz.
“A woman on the rope line here had both Bill and Hillary Clinton sign her “Hillary Clinton nutcracker.” (They did.)”
Image via Amazon.
Calling a woman a ‘nutcracker’ is a sexist pejorative used to imply a woman is domineering of men to the point of castrating them psychologically.

Without a photo it was not apparent whether the Clintons signed an older Hillary nutcracker or the new 2016 version.
Well, I wouldn't want one of those =- the nuts would be tainted.
