EXCLUSIVE: Mike Huckabee: Washington’s Priorities ‘Pathetic’ Fundin...

GOP presidential candidate former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee blasted the priorities of Washington politicians as “pathetic and absolutely absurd” when asked about his reaction to the Planned Parenthood hearing on Tuesday.

I agree with Mike Washington's priorities are pathetic but it has been that way a long time. Hopefully there will be true change soon.

Hillary Clinton’s Top Aide Was Victim of Hack Attempt

Hillary Clinton’s top State Department aide Cheryl Mills was the victim of a hack attempt while using private email. Mills briefed Clinton on the situation. Mills, who routinely exchanged sensitive emails with Clinton, was looped in on an email sent by State Department official Anne-Marie Slaughter to Clinton on June 3, 2011, according to newly released documents.

Rudy Giuliani: Foreign Dignitaries Told Me They “Like Trump” Want a Stronger US President

Rudy Giuliani joined Bill O’Reilly tonight to discuss the Donald Trump phenomenon.

giuliani trump

Giuliani said several world leaders told him they support Trump. They want a strong US leader again.

Bill O’Reilly: When People Magazine are publishing his tax plan. People magazine! What is with the phenomenom?

Rudy Giuliani: IT’s a world-wide phenomenon by the way. I was in Mexico two weeks ago. Obviously, there…

Bill O’Reilly: They don’t like him.

Rudy Giuliani: I was in Colombia. Different reaction. In Columbia some people think, maybe this is the tough guy you need that you don’t have. I just met with a number of foreign dignitaries that have been here for the UN. A lot of them. A lot of them kinda like Trump. A lot of them like the idea that maybe this guy be a stronger guy going up against … the Ayatollah.

Both O’Reilly and Giuliani agreed that Trump was a positive influence in the primary.

Donald Trump dropped an S-bomb tonight in New Hampshire.

Trump bashed Rubio and Bush for being weak on immigration and opening up the borders.

Donald Trump doesn’t buy that Marco Rubio and Jeb Bush have a good relationship with each other.

They hate each other. They hate each other so much. They hate more than anyone in this room hates their neighbor. (laughs) Anyone. But it’s political bullsh*t, you understand. It’s true. It’s true.

The crowd loved it!

Trump: Clinton email controversy 'terrible for our country'

Getty Images

GOP presidential front-runner Donald Trump said on Thursday that Democrat Hillary Clinton’s email server scandal is undermining her own 2016 White House bid.

“It’s hard to believe she’s even talking about running for president,” he said on Fox News’s “Fox & Friends.”

“You wouldn’t believe it is possible after what she’s done,” Trump said of Clinton’s use of a private email server while secretary of State. “What she did is totally illegal.”

“The whole thing is terrible for our country,” the New York business mogul added.

Reports emerged on Wednesday that Russian hackers had tried breaching data on Clinton’s private email server.

Trump said on Thursday that Clinton would have had better privacy using a government email account, disputing the former first lady’s arguments.

“She wanted total privacy for whatever reason,” Trump said. “She would have had more privacy the other way.”

Trump predicted on Thursday that the former first lady would not face any criminal charges for using the device, however.

“I think they probably won’t indict her,” he said, referencing the FBI’s probe of the server.

“The attorney general is from New York and I believe is a good friend of Hillary’s,” Trump said. “It’s pure politics and it’s Democrats.”

Trump also wondered if a GOP candidate winning the White House in 2016 would lead to more accountability for Clinton’s actions.

“What’s interesting is, if you get a Republican in, would they go after her?” he asked.

Controversy over Clinton’s email server is gradually eroding the Democratic presidential front-runner’s support across multiple national polls.

Outsider candidates bring in huge fundraising sums

Getty Images

Outsider candidates Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) and Ben Carson have reported stunning third-quarter fundraising totals, each claiming more than $20 million in the past three months, largely from small-dollar donors.

Sanders has raised $24 million, well above the $15 million he raised in the second quarter, according to The New York Times.

The campaign of retired pediatric neurosurgeon and GOP presidential candidate Carson confirmed to The Hill on Wednesday night — just hours before the midnight deadline — that it had raised more than $20 million in quarter three.

Carson communications director Doug Watts said the haul raised the campaign's total to more than $31 million from 600,000 donations and 363,000 unique donors. Watts added that the campaign raised more than $1 million in a 24-hour period surrounding the last debate.

The key question for both the Carson and Sanders campaigns is how much money they spent on raising their money.

Soliciting small checks via direct mail — and it is small checks that both campaigns have been relying on — can be expensive. Neither campaign has confirmed to The Hill what its "burn rate" is for the third quarter — the rate of spending versus revenue, a key metric monitored by operatives to assess the health of campaigns.

Asked whether the Carson campaign had calculated its burn rate, Watts replied via email: "We don’t look at it as burn rate, we look at it as an investment in creating a donor list, which then costs very little to reconnect with in the future.”

"But, no," he added, "we have not done our report with expenditures as yet."

If history is any guide, both Sanders and Carson will be the most successful of all candidates in the field at raising money from small-dollar donors.

In quarter two, Sanders raised 76 percent of his haul in donations of less than $200, while 68 percent of Carson's total came in these small amounts. By comparison, only 3 percent of former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush's money — and 17 percent of Democrat Hillary Clinton's second-quarter money — came from small donors.

I bet Soros is funding Sanders like crazy since he is beating Hillary.

I bet he is getting funding for all the communists.

Cruz wants Pentagon's plan to combat alleged Afghan abuse

Getty Images
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) wants to know how the Pentagon plans to combat alleged abuse within Afghan troops.

"So long as Americans are expected to fight for the security of the Afghan government, the United States has every right to demand that such action be taken, and if the Afghan government proves unwilling to take the necessary action, then the United States should do so itself or be willing to withdraw our Service Members from this appalling situation,” Cruz wrote in a letter to Defense Secretary Ashton Carter.

Wednesday's letter comes after The New York Times reported that some U.S. troops were allegedly told by supervisors to ignore abuse of young boys by Afghan security forces.

While the Pentagon has condemned the abuse of young boys — known as bacha bazi — Cruz said the report suggests a decade-long effort to bolster human rights in Afghanistan is "failing."

Army Gen. John Campbell, the top U.S. military commander in Afghanistan, also pushed back against the report earlier this week, saying he is "absolutely confident that no such theater policy has ever existed here, and certainly, no such policy has existed throughout my tenure as commander."

Cruz is asking Carter to detail — by Oct. 20 — every allegation since Oct. 1, 2012, of sexual abuse of a minor reported to the chain of command in Afghanistan, how many were allegedly by members of the Afghan military or police force, how many were allegedly by a government official, and how many allegedly occurred on a U.S. base or facility.

He also wants to know what actions the U.S. military leadership took in each case, including how many were reported to the Afghan government, how many the Afghan government took action on, how the U.S. military followed up on allegations it referred to Kabul, and any prosecutions and convictions.

Cruz is also asking whether a U.S. service member has ever been disciplined, as alleged by The New York Times, for trying to intervene when a minor was being abused by an Afghan national and what steps the United States has taken to address any abuse.
