Three years ago, the Tea Party movement was savagely attacked by the Internal Revenue Service in an attempt to bully us into submission and silence.

Years later, the IRS is still stonewalling. The IRS commissioner, John Koskinen, is defending the likes of Lois Lerner and her henchmen.

Thankfully, the Republican members of Congress are finally doing something about it. They have proposed a bill to impeach John Koskinen. We must back them up and ensure Koskinen is removed from office!

John Koskinen hasn’t just failed to reform the IRS in the wake of the targeting scandal; he has been an active participant in the Obama administration’s cover-up. 

The American people deserve better. We deserve the truth.

And the only way we’ll get it is if Congress removes this man from office once and for all.

Now, this won’t be an easy task. It has been over a century since Congress removed a member of the Cabinet. But we must push forward. 

First, the House must vote to impeach John Koskinen for high crimes and misdemeanors. That is an easily attainable goal with a Republican House.

However, the Senate has to then vote to remove him as well, and they must do so by a two-thirds majority. That will not be easy. We will have to marshal a nationwide Tea Party army and pressure several Democrats to do what’s right.

John Koskinen thinks he has gotten away with one of the biggest cover-ups in American history. For years, President Obama and the IRS denied that they were targeting conservative groups like Tea Party Patriots. It was on John Koskinen’s watch that the emails of Lois Lerner, the former head of the IRS’s tax exempt organizations division, were “destroyed.”

We can’t let him get away with it. We must show these Washington bureaucrats that they are not above the law, and We the People will not be abused by our government!

I have already sent letters/emails to my Senators - I can trust Ron Johnson, but definitely NOT Tammy Baldwin. And my House Rep. he is also useless - Pocan. We have a newer rep. I'm watching him, though he's not in my district. Rep. Glenn Grothmann. Liked him as a Wis. rep. in the Assembly, and he works with the NRA.   And I did sign the petition when it came into my email.
