Citizens Dedicated To Preserving Our Constitutional Republic
Let's resolve this year to be done with the liars in Washington and stop defending the lies they spread like warm peanut butter on hot toast. Lies like, well, anything that falls out of Sarah Sanders word-hole.
Sarah Huckabee Sanders is a liar by proxy for any number of White House liars, who spends her days repeating their lies or, sometimes in fits of fantasy, makes up her own lies, none of which bear any resemblance to the reality that the rest of us are living in. The deficit is bad, needs to be reduced, the Dems must stop increasing the deficit,... ...wait.... yes, this tax bill will.....no, it will not increase the deficit by 18 trillion dollars over the average liar's lifetime as the Fake News is reporting.....
.
She is in fact, a Liar by profession. She gets paychecks to lie, in public, on camera, to people whose job it is to repeat her lies to us, the general public, and when she stops lying, she will be fired. You know it, I know it, she knows it, the White House knows it.
.
Not a word of what she parrots to us is ever, ever true. If she says the president said this or that, it is not true. She talks to the president something like never and has no clue regarding his thoughts on any topic, and is certainly lying when she is telling us that Trump meant "this" when we all heard him say "THAT!"

Sounds like we have an expert among us....Has any one seen Hank ? Tell him the fish are biting please.
Seriously Disagree, It seems that you are an Anti-Trumper. Regardless feel free to speak out with your beliefs, but don't expect us to buy them based on emotional arguments. We will be glad to engage you in discussions based on facts and figures. Remember the rules and only attack the political philosophies not the people. This forum is intended to be a safe place to argue rational ideological arguments. If you believe something please explain why you believe it, and do not be discouraged by others trying to negate your arguments using their reasons why they don't believe it.

Seems this person may just be looking to get a debate going. I did read a different topic under the name T Amnesia and it seemed more in line with WTPUSA feelings. And oh, I'm very mixed up on conservative - seems the word means one thing in politics and another meaning in the nature of the world.
Virginia,
There are Neo-Cons, Classic Conservatives, and Modern Conservatives. I may be wrong, But I believe the Neo-Cons are more in line with the ALT-RIGHT and excessive in their philosophy to the point of rejecting other conservatives ideology. In short Hard Liners Blindly following an agenda. Same with the ATL-LEFT. Classic Conservatives are the ones who believe in proper compromise, hold that the Government should be the least intrusive into peoples lives. In short they embrace the Founders principles. The Classic Liberals do basically the same thing but are more prone to carefully creating programs to ease burdens. The Modern Conservatives are the ones that hold definite views on finances, govt. intervention, but are more readily leaning towards compromise with left-centrists. This mish mash leads to very much confusion.
Indeed Virginia.
Most who use the label wouldn't know a conservative principle from a brick.
The concept emerged from the great thinkers of Greece and Rome.
In essence, conservatism is a core of ideas regarding human nature; derived from the Natural Law.
It has nothing to do w/politics or religion.
Thomas,
How can you say it has nothing to do with Politics or Religion? Those principles have been co opted by politics and religion then bastardized into a twisted reflection of the original.
The Natural Law is a body of enduring principles, articulated by the wisdom of the Ancients and uncovered thru the rules of logic and reason.
It is the basis governing human conduct, allowing our species to survive and develop.
Thou shalt not kill and Thou shalt not steal are such principles, as their converse
would permit the destruction of mankind;
Intuitively, neither needs agreement or approval from religion, as their appeal is to first principles.
The same applies to politics, a modernist fad and the calling of assorted assholery.
Principled Conservatism (and Classical Liberalism) are cut from a cloth similar to the Natural Law and have no need of support from politics or religion, as they also appeal to enduring principles of human behavior..
That was not my argument Thomas. I said that Politics and Religion has bastardized the natural laws to enhance their agendas and they use the bastardized forms to create the impression their agendas follow natural laws.
M,
I apologize, as I misunderstood your assertion; which I completely accept.
Certainly Religion shows us the pathway to the "Other World."
In contrast, I'm baffled as to the worth of politics.
Thomas,
As far as the worth of politics goes, I feel it shows us where the Devil keeps his minions here on earth. LOL!!!
You are absolutely right, M! I like it when people put the Confederate Battle Flag or a TRUMP sticker in the rear window of their pick-ups - it let's me know who the racists, misogynists, and communists are!
I like knowing which party refuses to address and impeach an admitted sexual predator who at best, has obstructed justice and, at worst, has conspired with the Russians to subvert our election process. The same party that encourages and pays for a pedophile to run for the US Senate because they need that vote to further their conservative agenda on behalf of the communist 1% of America.
