Citizens Dedicated To Preserving Our Constitutional Republic
After a few jokes about who he might pick for a Vice President on his election ticket if he won the nomination, el Trumpo finally intimated who he would pick.
From the Hill:
Donald Trump on Tuesday named Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) when asked about his possible running mate in 2016.
“Ted Cruz is now agreeing with me 100 percent,” he said when asked about his vice presidential pick, according to Lifezette.
“Well, I like him,” Trump told radio host Laura Ingraham during her broadcast. “He’s backed everything I’ve said.”
Unlike most of the Republican presidential hopefuls, Cruz has mostly refrained from attacking Trump, even appearing alongside him at a rally in September against the Iran nuclear deal. The pair has also struck similar tones on topics such as border security and illegal immigration.
Still, Trump suggested late Monday that he will turn on Cruz if he becomes a threat to his front-runner status.
“If he catches on, I guess we’ll have to go to war,” he told host Joe Kernen on CNBC’s “Squawk Box.”
Of course it’s Cruz! He has said already that he believes he is the anti-Establishment candidate, and it’s clear that Ted Cruz has been trying to situate himself as the fallback for Trump’s followers if he begins to lose in the polling.
Would Ted take the position if that’s how the election broke? We have many months of speculation left!!

now thats a switch...its usually the brainless twit that is vp...
Like your post - Not a smart move, though if the VP is smarter than the President.
LOL..Virginia...good to hear from you..good to be back as well...
Glad you at least like Cruz....now I know you are not a troll..lol...Trump is not brainless...lots of good evangelical conservatives are supporting him ..including my fellow church members..but most love CRUZ...as I do the best..just think though if per chance Trump wins and makes Cruz his VP,,between them they could secure the white House possibly for 16 years....Trump will go in with a broad axe and a blow torch and pack of dynamite...lol no program will be safe from him...Cruz is softer spoken but carries the pproverbial BIG STICK of Reagan...and will get the job done as well...We have struck gold with both these candidates....Time for me and you to smoke the peace pipe chum...don't you think ?????????
whats not to like about cruz....on the other hand what is there to like about trump...self centered .egomaniac, narcissist, with dictator leanings....it amazes me that some support a man that refuses to even say the word CONSTITUTION but hey as long as they feel good...did you watch the video on cruz I posted last night????..if not watch it and then tell us why a vote for trump makes sense!!!
SAY NO TO DICTATORS...DOWN WITH TRUMP
A VOTE FOR TRUMP IN THE PRIMARY IS A VOTE FOR CLINTON IN THE GENERAL
and of course I'm a troll...I would add to that but rules dont allow it
We will have to take a very hard and close look at Trump and all the candidates. Remembering everything they have said and comparing it to what they will say up to the election. That is part of the ongoing Vetting process.
I have to agree with WTPUSA on that. Every Contender must be looked at clearly and scrutinized thoroughly so we don't get another pretender like Obama. That would kill America.
Agree as well thats why I started a separate thread on cruz so he can be vetted alone without all the feldercarb that is created when you have one thread for 16 candidates combined with all the opinions....it makes for hard reading and the content/context is lost..
Thank God for RULES Blades and a strong moderator..whom we can all respect....;)
I agree DE ,Trump and Cruz would make a great DUO It seems if others aren't too thrilled.. Maybe
they need to speak up and say who they prefer??? There are plenty to choose from Rino's, Conservatives, Dem's, Socialists, we have the gambit in this 2016 Election don't we????. I will check out the Cruz thread ...I miss Love of Country's 2016 election thread.
