Utah – test-run program, scanning for Concealed Carry – what’s next
‘TSA-style body scanners are coming to public spaces, and that should scare the hell out of everyone.
In what is now just a test-run pilot program of sorts in Utah, the AG and law enforcement is partnering with a company to install their "HEXWAVE" TSA-style full body scanners at public and private places including sporting events, schools, places of worship, entertainment events and more.
What they're looking for might be what's most alarming.
According to the company, Liberty Defense, HEXWAVE is used to respond to "the threat from concealed weapons on the rise."
Yes, you read that right. Setting aside the absurdity of this company being named "Liberty Defense," their body-scanners are made specifically to deal with "concealed weapons."
In my opinion, implementing such a surveillance system in a state most would consider to be far closer to "gun friendly" than many others - makes this even worse.
When the gun grabbing states get a hold of this tech, it won't take a lot of imagination to predict how they'll use it.’
