What I have for a Senator - thank goodness we also have Ron Johnson

Dear Ms. Foulk:
Thank you for contacting me about congressional salaries. It is good to hear from you on this important issue.
The Ethics Reform Act of 1989 established an automatic pay increase for Members of Congress to adjust for rising cost of living. As a member of the House of Representatives in 2009, I supported a pay freeze for Members of Congress as part of the Omnibus Appropriations Act of 2009 (P.L. 111-8). Since then, Congress has consistently voted to freeze its own pay, and it remains at the same level set in 2009.
Earlier this year, the House of Representatives entered into bipartisan negotiations on including a 2.6 percent pay increase for Members of Congress to account for inflation over the past decade. Ultimately, the House did not move forward with pursuing this pay increase and the bill that addresses funding for Congress and its operations, the Legislative Branch Appropriations Act, was approved by the House Appropriations Committee in May without any provisions related to a pay increase for Members. This bill awaits consideration by the full House of Representatives.
I appreciate knowing of your concerns regarding congressional pay increases. Please know that your thoughts will inform the work I do in the Senate.
Once again, thank you for contacting my office. It is important for me to hear from the people of Wisconsin on the issues, thoughts and concerns that matter most to you. If I can be of further assistance, please visit my website at www.baldwin.senate.gov for information on how to contact my office.
Sincerely,

Tammy Baldwin
United States Senator

Senator Tammy Baldwin just didn't get it.

Senator Ron Johnson is doing what we need for Wisconsin and America.  It  may be hard to get Bidens and others to testify at the Impeachment circus but he isn't slowing down  his efforts.
