White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders dispatched the lie behind Time Magazine’s cover in one crisp tweet.
6/22/18 By 1600 Staff
"It’s shameful that dems and the biased media exploited this photo of a little girl to push their agenda. She was NOT separated from her mom. The separation here is from the facts.
Dems should join POTUS and fix our broken immigration system." -- Sarah Sanders
The Daily Mail reported that the young girl seen on the cover was in fact NEVER separated from her mother.
Time magazine misrepresented the facts, which caps off a week of sloppy reporting from the LYING media on this issue!
The week was spent focusing on the implementation of bad laws by the Trump administration, while President Trump and his press secretary have repeatedly called on Congress to pass better laws for them to enforce.
Of the tow proposals, the more conservative Goodlatte proposal failed in the House of Representatives Thursday, while the more moderate “compromise” bill has not came to the floor yet.
The bottom line:
The press secretary has to untangle fake news on a daily basis from the White House press corps and the biased media organizations they represent, hence her frustration with the “shameful” Time magazine cover.
As usual, she cut through the noise and took on the issue directly, while representing the president with firmness and dignity.

Food Stamps Usage Under President Trump, has reached a low not seen since 2010.
6/24/18 By 1600 Staff
Overall enrollment in the nation’s food stamp program has dipped to its lowest level in eight years, according to the latest statistics released by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).
The latest USDA data reveals that enrollment in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)—the federal government program that administers food stamps—dropped to 40,083,954 in March 2018.
The last time enrollment in the food stamp program reached that level was Feb. 2010, when 39,588,993 people participated in the nation’s food stamp program.
Although overall enrollment has reached its lowest point in eight years, food stamp enrollment has been declining steadily since 2013 and has only continued throughout President Trump’s first year in office.
Under Trump, 2.2 million fewer people have continued their participation in SNAP, mainly due to the Trump administration’s attempts to reform SNAP by controlling program costs at the federal and state levels.
The USDA announced in March that it hired an “integrity officer” to bolster the administration’s efforts to prevent fraud in the country’s SNAP program and announced in Feb. the rollout of its “Harvest Box” program to give food stamp recipients a box of food as part of their monthly benefits package.
Trump also released an executive order on welfare reform in April that would require the USDA to issue updated rules for those receiving benefits such as food stamps, and invest in workforce development programs. The House and Senate are also working on an updated Farm Bill that would include an expansion of workforce-development programs designed to bolster job-training.
The House version of the bill includes a provision that would require able-bodied adults ages 18 to 59 who receive food stamp benefits to work, enroll in job training, or look for work under the supervision of a case manager.
President Trump has been working to reform the program behind the scenes, to stop fraud and to save taxpayers money.
This event is a direct result of those efforts, as well as the economic growth that has been a result of the president’s Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, whereby more people are working, and do not require assistance.
This success is a marked improvement from the obuma years, when food stamp usage reached record highs!

According to Breitbart News:

Overall enrollment in the nation’s food stamp program has dipped to its lowest level in eight years, according to the latest statistics released by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). The latest USDA data reveals that enrollment in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)—the federal government program that administers food stamps—dropped to 40,083,954 in March 2018.

Man Kills Gun-Toting Criminals. Now, Police Have Charged Him With Murder!
6/08/2018 Source: AAN Staff
They pointed a gun at him, yet he's the one facing the possibility of life behind bars.
Three criminals thought Jarrell Chaney had marijuana, so they attempted to rob the 31-year-old in Irving, Texas on Tuesday.
But the older, more powerful Chaney got the upper hand against the trio, wrestling a pistol from one suspect. He unloaded as they fled the scene.
Two of the aggressors, 18-year-old Ishmael Smithson and 19-year-old Theophilos Greer, later died at a local hospital.
*** Jarrell Chaney was no longer in danger, so it's a wrongful shooting.***
And now Chaney finds himself in the Irving Jail facing murder charges.
KTVT-TV reports:
I was like, it couldn’t be murder. Not here, not in this apartment. It was just really shocking,” says LaShandra Holt, a resident at the Irving apartment complex where it happened. Especially, she says, because of the circumstances.
Police say three teens targeted Chaney for an armed robbery, believing he had marijuana. Before the robbery ever happened, there was a confrontation.
Police say Chaney wrestled away a gun from a juvenile suspect and began shooting at the teens as they ran away Two of them, 18-year-old Ishmael Smithson and 19-year-old Theophilos Greer, later died.
“You’re going to do whatever you can to save your life. I don’t think it’s that fair,” says Holt.
While police currently do not believe Chaney's actions were justified due to mitigating factors, the only gun involved was out of the hands of the suspects, how far the men were from Chaney, etc., they caution that the investigation is still in the preliminary stages.
The final decision to proceed rests with the District Attorney.
*** I repeat, Jarrell Chaney was no longer in danger, so it's a wrongful shooting.***

Conservative Hero Gives Insubordinate DOJ Stunning Ultimatum.
6/22/18
Earlier on Fox News, Representative Jim Jordan (R-OH) said he would "file articles of impeachment" if Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein continues to ignore the House of Representatives' requests. (Breitbart)
Jordan said, “If they don’t comply by today, the speaker has been clear and told me this personally:
Our resolution that Mr. Meadows, I and others introduced two weeks ago, which says the full House will go on record and tells the Department of Justice if you don’t give us what we have within a certain time period, we’ll move to the next step.
The resolution comes first. If Rosenstein doesn’t comply, then it’s contempt.
And then we’re prepared to file articles of impeachment against Mr. Rosenstein – if he doesn’t give the House of Representatives, if he doesn’t give the Congress, a separate and equal branch of government, to give us the documents, to get answers for you and the press and, more importantly, the American people.
It’s that basic, and we’re at the end of the line.”

Illegal Alien Commits Disgusting Abuse of Special Needs Girl.
6/22/18 True Daily Staff
Reynaldo Mora, a 41-year-old illegal alien from Mexico, living in the sanctuary city of Montgomery County, Maryland has been arrested and charged with raping and impregnating a special needs child.
Reynaldo Mora has been charged by the Montgomery County Police Depart.
for raping a 13-year-old non-verbal girl in her home, according to ABC7 News.
Months ago, Mora was asked by the girl’s parents to babysit her and her two other siblings, according to police. This is when, police say, the illegal alien took the special needs girl into a bedroom and raped her.
NEW: Undocumented immigrant accused of raping, impregnating a 13yo non-verbal girl in Silver Spring.
41yo Reynaldo Mora was victim's babysitter.
Victim communicates with "gestures and writing" + has "intellect of a first grader."
MoCo judge granted bond before ICE intervened.
In mid-April, two months after the rape, the victim took an in-home pregnancy test, which came back positive. Her aunt brought her to Adventist HealthCare Shady Grove Medical Center in Rockville for further testing. Medical staff confirmed she was 11-weeks pregnant at that time. The victim would later tell investigators that Mora was the father of the unborn child.
The illegal alien was arrested soon after and his lawyers immediately requested he be released on bond.
In May, Montgomery County Circuit Court Judge Steven Salant allowed the illegal alien to be released, but the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency stepped in to take over custody of Mora.
ICE confirmed that Mora has been living in the U.S. illegally and was previously working full time as a cook at a Mexican restaurant in Maryland.
If he is convicted, the illegal alien is facing up to 60 years in prison.
Once his time is served, he will be transferred to ICE for deportation from the U.S.

Mexifornia Authorities Seize 500 Firearms From Convicted Felon.
6/20/18 by Tom Knighton
When you talk about states with the most strict gun control laws in the country, only a fool would exclude Mexifornia from that conversation. The state prides itself on its gun control, and firearms are difficult for even the law-abiding citizen to obtain. There’s no way a felon could amass a pile of guns, right? Right?
Oh, wait, that’s right. Criminals don’t follow any law they don’t want to obey. That includes gun laws, which is probably why this happened.
Authorities in Mexifornia acting on a tip swept into a rural home and seized more than 500 guns from a convicted felon, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said.
The tip indicated Manuel Fernandez, 60, was “in possession of a large arsenal of firearms,” the department said in a statement.
On Thursday, a team of state and local officers raided the house in Agua Dulce, about 45 miles north of Los Angeles. Authorities immediately seized 432 guns, the department said.
The next day, another 91 guns were found hidden at the Fernandez’s home, authorities said. Detectives also seized computers, cellphones and hard drives believed to be involved in the illegal purchase of firearms, the department said.
Another 30 guns were found at the home of a female associate of Fernandez.
Needless to say, Fernandez was arrested. He’ll probably spend a whole lot of time behind bars.
While authorities believe Fernandez was involved in the illegal gun trade, it’s important to remember something.
This one individual was able to get his hands on more than 500 firearms despite his status as a felon.
Despite the numerous laws designed to prevent him from doing so.
In fact, the laws did precisely nothing to keep guns out of Fernandez’s hands.
Nothing at all.
This individual was able to amass a massive arsenal for whatever purpose in spite of the countless laws explicitly meant to prevent just that. But criminals, by their very nature, don’t obey laws. Fernandez went around the law in some way, shape, or form to obtain all those weapons.
This illustrates the fallacy of gun laws keeping firearms out of criminal hands.
However, anti-gunners are experts at ignoring the truth.
They’ll look at this as evidence that more laws are needed. They’ll see this and be absolutely convinced that at least one more law is required. One more measure to pass and all of this could have been prevented.
The thing is, even if we learn precisely how Fernandez got these weapons, there’s little that will stop a determined criminal from getting guns.
As noted yesterday, there’s a gun in this country for every man, woman, child, and infant. We have more than enough guns already in circulation that keeping guns out of the hands of criminals is a fool’s errand.
Yes, we should enforce the laws on the books. We should enforce them vigorously. But we should also make sure law-abiding citizens have the means to defend themselves from predators.
Mexifornia sucks on that count.
Meanwhile, they can’t stop a felon from amassing a real arsenal of guns regardless of what the law says. Funny that. - HUH?

Rare Firearm Saved From Scrap Heap By Virginia Community.
6/19/18 by Tom Knighton
The idea of rare or valuable firearms being destroyed is always painful when you’re a gun person.
It’s part of why so many of us hate looking at pictures from gun buybacks throughout the country.
In and amongst the trash guns most wouldn’t shoot on a dare, there are occasional treasures that we would trade various body parts for!
However, when police in Chesapeake, VA came across a Strumgewehr 44, the city decided not to be stupid about it.
Virginia’s Chesapeake City Council voted last week to donate rather than destroy a rare World War II firearm believed to have popularized the term “assault rifle.”
The Sturmgewehr 44 (StG44) was developed by German gunsmith Hugo Schmeisser in 1942 and was used by the Nazis through the end of the war. Germany produced about 426,000, but because few ended up on North American shores, NFA-compliant models are worth nearly $30,000.
The Chesapeake Police Department confiscated the StG44 in April of 2009 after finding one in a van involved in several hit-and-runs, according to the Virginian-Pilot.
The driver, Eugene McGee, was convicted of felony hit-and-run and had his Second Amendment rights revoked.
But rather than destroy the firearm, the city decided in 2010 to donate it.
Police spokesman Leo Kosinski told the Pilot that he isn’t sure why it’s taken so long for the donation to occur, though he suspects that whoever came up with the idea has since retired.
I don’t know what’s taken so long either, but I’m damn glad to see that a piece of history like that isn’t being destroyed because it makes some people feel icky. While I’d rather be able to shoot it myself, the fact that it’s going to a museum is far better than some of the alternatives.
Frankly, I wish we’d see more of these weapons avoiding the scrap heaps and going into responsible hands. In many places, the police will sell confiscated weapons back to the public via local dealers, that tends to not be what happens with buybacks.
That makes sense considering some of those guns at buybacks may well be evidence in criminal cases that are now more difficult to prosecute since there are “no questions asked.”
With that said, though, “removing” guns from circulation has been a thing for a while, but there’s no evidence that it reduces crime in any way, shape, or form. There’s not even slightly convincing speculation that it does, truth be told. After all, the people pushing these are the same people prattling on about the proliferation of guns on our streets, so it’s kind of hard to argue both positions.
Then again, it’s not like people who take that position are known for their intellectual consistency, but for some reason, they stay away from making that claim.
Perhaps they’d be fine with such firearms being relegated to museums, but heaven forbid you, or I, get our hands on such a piece of history.
All because some soccer moms think it’s a bad thing.

Wichita Restaurant Sparks Outrage With Pro-Gun Stance.
6/21/18 by Tom Knighton
A restaurant in Wichita, Kansas managed to outrage the anti-gunners of the city. You see, while so many businesses are being applauded for being anti-gun by the gun control-loving zealots, this business made a different stance.
They said guns were welcome in their restaurant.
For anti-gunners, that’s something that just can’t be tolerated.
A Riverside restaurant stirred up a passionate — and sometimes ugly — social media debate on Saturday with a Facebook post that announced “guns are welcome on our premises.”
The post, which sparked dozens of comments from customers on both sides of the gun debate, had people all weekend vowing to either increase their visits to Riverside Cafe — or to never set foot in the restaurant again.
It also highlighted a divide between diners who say they feel safer when people nearby are armed and those who are alarmed by the sight of a stranger packing while dining.
The post, which went up at 8:41 a.m. on Saturday, included a picture of a handgun with a green circle around it. “Guns are welcome on our premises,” the sign said. The text that accompanied the post said, “We fully support the Second Amendment.”
Owner, Paul Cohlmia said he was surprised by the uproar, especially since the sign has been hanging in the window for 10 to 12 years! He’s the type of guy who has all kinds of friends with all kinds of opinions on issues, he said. And they can always agree to disagree.
Most of the responses on Facebook have been okay, he said.
“But some of it is just flat out telling me I’m a bigot, and they don’t know me,” he said. “I have all kinds of friends of all kinds of religions. I’m not going to prove that to anybody, but the proof is in the pudding. I can deal with a lot of stuff, and you can’t fight everybody.”
The bigot line is fascinating to me.
You see, no matter how often we point out that the pro-gun side doesn’t care if you’re black, white, or purple, if you support our right to keep and bear arms, we welcome you. On the other hand, if you oppose that right, we don’t care if you look exactly like us, you’re our opponent. But somehow, we’re still bigots.
That’s because they weren’t talking about Cohlmia. They were talking about the strawman version of him that they’re absolutely convinced is reality despite the complete lack of evidence supporting their delusion.
Let’s remember that they’re the tolerant ones, right? They’re the ones who are accepting and all that.
Meanwhile, we’re trying to fight for our natural rights against an onslaught from them and their supporters, and being told we’re somehow evil for wanting to defend those rights.
Frankly, while I’m not likely to be in the Wichita area any time soon, I do plan on keeping the restaurant’s name handy in case that changes. If it does, I’ll make it a point to step in and have a bite. After all, he supports my right to be armed. The least I can do is support his right to earn a livelihood.

Armed Citizen Puts Down Bad Guy In Washington State.
6/19/18 by Tom Knighton
Anti-gunners love to pretend that law-abiding gun owners are a threat to humanity. They dismiss any claims of self-defense as “cowboy daydreams” or “wannabe Rambos.” It’s not something they see as a real thing.
Meanwhile, a law-abiding gun owner put down a shooter at a Wal-Mart in Washington state.
An armed civilian took down a shooter after at least two people were shot Sunday night at a Washington state Walmart, police said.
Tumwater police said the civilian, described by officers as a good Samaritan, shot and killed the suspect at the scene.
On Monday night, KIRO 7 confirmed the civilian is a pastor and works with the Oakville Fire Department, where he is a lieutenant and an emergency medical technician.
The shooting happened just after 5:30 p.m. at the Walmart Supercenter in Tumwater, about 65 miles south of Seattle.
“I heard two bangs. It sounded like gunshots to me,” witness Robert Berwick said. “I looked down the aisle and saw a person running.”
That’s when Berwick ran, too. There was chaos in the parking lot, and he said the shooting suspect tried to carjack another man. That’s when the suspect was shot.
In other words, the good man put the bad thug down. But if he hadn’t, it appears there were plenty of others willing to step in.
Another witness to the shooting, Megan Chadwick, said her husband saw the civilian take down the shooter.
“He said he watched the shooter take his last breath,” Chadwick said. “There were three civilians going after the shooter, to shoot him and two of them had their guns up and then the third guy shot him through the window of the car.”
So, tell me again how an armed citizenry is a bad thing?
It should be noted that Chadwick said her husband was armed as well. As a result, there were at least four armed citizens who were on hand to protect human life from someone who held no regard for it. Talk about a bad man having a bad day.
From the sounds of it, the suspect was running because he met resistance almost immediately. However, that’s not confirmed.
What we do know is that the bad man was stopped because armed citizens were on hand to deal with it. Several armed citizens.
I can’t speak for everyone in the gun rights community, but that’s what I’d like to see throughout the country. I’d love to see bad men trying to do bad things meet with resistance from multiple armed citizens who make it clear that such things will not be tolerated. Not everyone needs to be armed, but anyone who wants to carry a firearm should be able to.
The result of that is what happened. Like I said, a bad day for the bad man.
Even if he’d survived, it would have been a bad day.
If you want to reduce violent crime, you need to dissuade criminals from committing violent crimes. The best way to do that?
Ask the folks of Tumwater, Washington.
