Wait–How Many Immigrants Are On Welfare Again?                                              7/6/18 Matt Vespa

This is the land of opportunity, and anyone who wants the come here can…legally.

That’s not the issue. For the Trump White House, it’s been their stated position to shift our immigration policy toward allowing more high-skilled workers into this country.

As for the families of the low-skilled working alien population in the country, 51%, 76% counting alien-led households with children are collecting some sort of check from our welfare services.

 Is that good? No!

Does that mean we shut it all down? No.

That figure comes from the Center for Immigration Studies, who noted the need for the immigration process to be more “selective.” At the same time, there are a lot of American households with children that are also getting some form of government assistance  (via USA Today):

 https://www.usatoday.com/videos/news/usanow/video/2015/09/03/71614490/

About 51% of alien-led households receive at least one kind of welfare benefit, including Medicaid, food stamps, school lunches and housing assistance, compared to 30% for native-led households, according to the report from the Center for Immigration Studies, a group that advocates for lower levels of immigration.

Those numbers increase for households with children, with 76% of alien-led households receiving welfare, compared to 52% for the native-born.

The findings are sure to fuel debate on the presidential campaign trail as Republican candidates focus on changing the nation's illegal alien laws, from calls for mass deportations to ending birthright citizenship.

Steven Camarota, director of research at the center and author of the report, said that's a much-needed conversation to make the country's immigration system more "selective."

Linda Chavez agrees with Camarota that the country's welfare system is too large and too costly!

Chavez, a self-professed conservative who worked in President Reagan's administration, said it's irresponsible to say aliens are taking advantage of the country's welfare system any more than native-born Americans.

Chavez, president of the Becoming American Institute, a conservative group that advocates for higher levels of legal immigration to reduce illegal immigration, said politicians should be careful about using the data.

"These kids who get subsidized school lunches today will go on to graduate high school,  will go on to free college and move up to the middle class of America," Chavez said. "Every time we have a nativist backlash in our history, we forget that we see immigrants change very rapidly in the second generation."

Yet, as the publication noted, with most immigration waves, first generations are usually less-educated, poorer, and work low-skill jobs.

It’s their children that break into the middle class. Both sides will use this to their respective talking points.

I think it’ll be best for the GOP to stay on message by promoting strong borders, enforcing our immigration laws, and making this about security. You have to secure the border first before any talk about reforming our welfare state can begin.

And for the most part, this study doesn’t really deviate from past studies about immigrant households. Can there be room for reform? Yes.

Our welfare state should be reformed to not engulf people in a pool of dependency, but rather a nice cushion that prevents them from crashing into the floor, but also catapults them back into the job market and back on track economically.

In other words, it’s a temporary measure.

Democrats have removed work requirements and asset tests, which has not fared well concerning accountability of these programs.

Uh Oh!  North Korea Calls Latest Talks “Regrettable”.

 7/20/18 by T.LaDuke

Houston errr Pyongyang, we have a problem.

Just after the first high-level meetings of representatives from the United States and North Korea since the summit between President Trump and Kim Jong-un, seems the North Koreans are grumpy.

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo after two days of meetings with his North Korean counterparts called the meetings productive as he prepared to leave to meet with Japanese officials to update them.

The North Koreans had a different take.

Via the Washington Post:

Just hours after Secretary of State Mike Pompeo departed North Korea after two days of nuclear negotiations, North Korea sharply criticized the U.S. team’s attitude as “regrettable,” and accused the U.S. of making unilateral demands of denuclearization.

The remarks from North Korea’s foreign ministry directly contradicted statements made by Pompeo that the visit made “progress on almost all of the central issues” and involved “good-faith negotiations.”

The Foreign Ministry statement, issued by an unnamed spokesman, said the U.S. violated the spirit of the June 12 Singapore summit between President Trump and Kim Jong Un.

The mixed messages followed a visit in which Pompeo did not meet with the North Korean leader while in the country and did not secure a breakthrough in forging a shared understanding of denuclearization.

This is not surprising given the way that the North Korean regime has acted since it’s inception.

The North Koreans will want to try and keep some nukes while getting the relief of sanctions and are hoping that Trump will eventually cut that deal.

I don’t see how Secretary of State Pompeo and National Security Advisor John Bolton would ever advise the President to go along with that.
The South Koreans and the Japanese would never get a good night sleep with the unstable regime in the North having the bomb.

Hopefully, President Trump is willing to walk away like he did BEFORE the summit in Singapore and in the press conference after.

Seems to have worked in the leadup and if need be will hopefully let Kim Jung-un know that the United States is serious about him de nuking.

They won’t get any money or sanction relief until they take steps to this end.

Someone break out the Rocketman song, we are not through with him yet!

Major Victory for Bundy in Federal Trial.

U.S. District Judge Gloria Navarro ruled Monday the case against Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy would be dismissed “with prejudice,” and ordered the rancher set free after federal prosecutors willfully withheld exculpatory evidence during the 2017 trial.

Judge dismissed case w/ prejudice against Cliven Bundy, 2 sons and Ryan Payne with prejudice , finding flagrant misconduct by prosecution and FBI during the Bundy trial.

Judge Navarro ruled a mistrial in the Bundy case last month after prosecutors “willfully” withheld exculpatory evidence favorable to the four men on trial: Cliven Bundy, his two sons and one other person.

The judge found that prosecutors had violated the defendant’s civil rights and violated federal law by hiding evidence from the court.

After the mistrial, Navarro set a Jan. 8 date to decide whether the case against Bundy would be retried or dismissed “with prejudice,” barring a retrial over the same charges.

Prosecutors requested the court grant another trial against the Bundys, calling their missteps and violations “inadvertent.”

Major Shakeup in Trump Cabinet.

 7/5/018 by: True Daily Staff

A Trump cabinet official has resigned under mounting pressure. The Washington Examiner reports:

Scott Pruitt stepped down as head of the Environmental Protection Agency, after a series of controversies that overshadowed his year of leading President Trump’s anti-regulation, pro-growth agenda.

“I have accepted the resignation of Scott Pruitt as the Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency,”

Trump tweeted Thursday. “Within the Agency Scott has done an outstanding job, and I will always be thankful to him for this. The Senate confirmed Deputy at EPA, Andrew Wheeler, will on Monday assume duties as the acting Administrator of the EPA. I have no doubt that Andy will continue on with our great and lasting EPA agenda. We have made tremendous progress and the future of the EPA is very bright!”

Pruitt had been under the microscope for months after a number of allegations. He was the subject of at least a dozen federal investigations, over issues including his $50-per-night condo rental deal with the wife of an energy lobbyist who had business before the EPA, spending more than $3 million on his 24-hour security detail, frequent first-class travel, reports he retaliated against employees who questioned his judgment, sending his staff on personal errands, and using them to try to find a job for his wife.

At least some of those actions were illegal.

Whether Pruitt will suffer additional repercussions remains to be seen.

BREAKING: DNC Loses Lawsuit Against Trump.

 7/6/18  by: TTN Staff

The DNC proved just how sore of losers they really were when they filed a lawsuit against President Trump, Wikileaks, and Russia.
They just lost, and Trump let them know about it.
 According to Town Hall:
Earlier this year the Democratic National Committee filed a lawsuit against the Trump administration, Russia and Wikileaks. In it, senior DNC officials alleged Donald Trump colluded with the Russian government to win the White House in November 2016.
 As a reminder:
The Democratic National Committee named the Russian government, the Trump campaign, Trump family members, WikiLeaks and others Friday in a sweeping lawsuit making a detailed case for collusion between the Russians and Trump campaign operatives.
“No one is above the law and the perpetrators of this attack must be held accountable,” Tom Perez, the DNC chairman said in a statement. “They successfully hacked the Democratic Party in 2016 and they will be back. We must prevent future attacks on our democracy, and that’s exactly what we’re doing today. This is not partisan, it’s patriotic."
President Trump recently tweeted, announcing the loss:
"Just won lawsuit filed by the DNC and a bunch of Democrat crazies trying to claim the Trump Campaign and others, colluded with Russia. They haven’t figured out that this was an excuse for them losing the election!"
This is just another hilarious defeat for the Dems to go along with 2016.
Will this hurt them as the 2020 presidential election approaches?
Judging by the candidates they want to run, it is looking that way.

President Trump Surprises Unsuspecting Couple At Their Wedding!                                                       7/?/18 Source: American Update
What would you do if the President of the United States showed up at your wedding?

President Donald Trump is a work-aholic, and sleeps only about 3 hours per day. He can get many things done each day, I know the Papa family and their friends will have memories of a lifetime!

 TMZ reports:

Donald Trump can't stop (and won't stop) crashing weddings in New Jersey -- especially if there's a chance to give the bride a smooch and woo the crowd at the same time.
The President made a surprise appearance Friday during Gerald Papa and Jenna Buchholtz's wedding at Trump National Golf Course in Bedminster Township. Witnesses tell us 45 flew in on his Marine One chopper and popped in to greet their guests, unannounced.
We're told he shook hands, posed for pics, and told the crowd to take care of the happy couple -- the latter of which you can see in a video we obtained of his 2nd cameo there.

And in true Trump fashion, the Prez also pecked Jenna on the cheek before heading upstairs. As for how that was received ... people around absolutely ate it up.

Rowdy Gowdy Smacks Dirty Dem Adam Schiff.                                                                                                      7/6/18  by: TTN Staff

     https://youtu.be/kBuZaZapH7A

Adam Schiff has been one of the top Democrat obstructionists in Congress. Playing politics every chance he gets.
Rowdy Trey Gowdy has finally had enough, and he called out Rep. Schiff on his true intentions.
 According to The Daily Caller:
Mexifornia Rep. Adam Schiff has “had a terrible last couple of years,” Republican South Carolina Rep. Trey Gowdy said in a scathing interview about his Democratic counterpart Thursday night.
“He wanted to be the attorney general under killary clinton, and nobody in the country worked harder to protect her than Adam Schiff.
He wanted to run for the Senate in the People’s Republic of Mexifornia, but he couldn’t win either of those seats. So now, he wants to be the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee,” Gowdy told Fox News’ Jason Chaffetz.
Gowdy was responding to remarks that Schiff made in an interview with CNN on June 28 about House Republicans’ efforts to obtain information about the FBI and Justice Department’s investigation into possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Russian government.
“I don’t think anybody on my side of the aisle gives much of a damn what Adam Schiff thinks,” said Gowdy.
Trey Gowdy is a fighter in Congress, and this is just another example of how he will not be pushed around!  Especially, by Democrats with improper motivations.

Zero Tolerance Border Policy WORKING.

 7/6/18  by: TTN Staff

The media has been relentless in attacking President Trump's zero tolerance border policy.
The goal was to deter potential illegal crossers and it seems to be doing just that.
 According to Town Hall:
*The Trump administration’s “zero-tolerance policy” toward illegal immigrant border crossers has resulted in a drop in apprehensions, according to the Department of Homeland Security.
*"Following the implementation of the administration’s zero-tolerance policy, the June 2018 Southwest Border Migration numbers declined by 18% when compared to the previous month,” DHS press secretary Tyler Q. Houlton said in a statement.
June’s numbers, in which 34,114 people were detained, were lower than both May (40,338) and April’s (38,243) figures.
“DHS will continue to enforce the rule of law and uphold our nation’s immigration laws as passed by Congress,” Houlton said. “As we have said before, the journey north is dangerous and puts individuals in the hands of smugglers and traffickers. We continue to call on Congress to address the crisis at the border by closing legal loopholes that drive illegal immigration.”
Border security is a major issue for Trump and his administration. He has faced incredible resistance from the left, who seem to want open borders. Despite all of the pushback, it looks like President Trump is seeing success in securing America's southern border.
