VERONA – Roland Straten, Republican candidate for Congress from the 8th Congressional District, will hold a Town Hall Meeting on Health Care on Friday, October 8, 2010, at 7 p.m. at the Verona Community Center, 880 Bloomfield Avenue.
.
The purpose of the Town Hall Meeting on Health Care is to provide 8th District residents with the opportunity to express their views and concerns about health care issues, including the new health care law. Opposition to this controversial law has only increased since its passage six months ago as details of its provisions gradually emerge. Straten believes that the public deserves answers to its questions about the impact of this law and has himself signed the “ObamaCare Repeal Pledge,” which calls for the law’s repeal and replacement.
.
Straten is challenging seven-term incumbent Democrat Bill Pascrell, who voted for ObamaCare.
.The public is invited to attend and coffee and refreshments will be served. For more information about Roland Straten and the campaign, please visit
