STRATEN TO HOLD TOWN HALL MEETING IN NUTLEY OCT. 12

PATERSON – Roland Straten, Republican candidate for Congress from the 8^th Congressional District, will hold a Town Hall Meeting on Tuesday, October 12, 2010, from 7-9 p.m. at the Nutley Red Cross Building, 169 Chestnut St., Nutley

.

The goals of the Town Hall are to give 8^th District residents the opportunity to meet the candidate and to ask questions and express their views about issues of concern to them. Special guest speakers will include Fabrizio Bivona and Steven Rogers, who will discuss homeland security. Mr. Bivona is a paramedic and RN who was a first responder at Ground Zero on 9/11; Steve Rogers is a Nutley Police Lieutenant.

Straten is challenging seven-term incumbent Democrat Bill Pascrell for the opportunity to represent the residents of the 8^th District in Congress.

The 8^th District includes parts of Essex and Passaic Counties.
