FORMER HOUSE SPEAKER GINGRICH ENDORSES STRATEN

MONTCLAIR – Former Republican Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich, General Chairman of American Solutions for Winning the Future, has announced his endorsement of Roland Straten, Republican candidate for Congress from the 8^th Congressional District.

.

In an October 5, 2010 letter to Straten, Gingrich said, “Policies you are supporting will not only help transform government but they will also provide lower taxes, less government, and real job creation. Those policies, not the Democrats’ policies of higher taxes, more government and job killing legislation, are what will finally put America back on the road to recovery.” Straten’s opponent, career politician Bill Pascrell, is a liberal Democrat who votes consistently for the destructive policies decried by Gingrich: government-controlled health care, massive deficit spending, and burdensome regulations and taxation that are crushing our economy, not encouraging recovery.

“I’m pleased that my candidacy has been endorsed by former Speaker of the House Gingrich,” Straten said. “Now it’s time to retire Bill Pascrell, who votes for what’s best for Obama and Pelosi, not for the people here in New Jersey’s 8^th District.”
