STRATEN, PASCRELL TO MEET IN WAYNE DEBATE 10-27-10

WAYNE – Roland Straten, Republican challenger for the 8^th Congressional District seat in the House of Representatives, will debate seven-term incumbent Democrat Bill Pascrell at the Wayne League of Women Voters’ “Election 2010 Candidates’ Night.” The debate will be held on Wednesday, October 27, 2010, from 7-9 p.m. at the Wayne Municipal Building, 475 Valley Road.

Also scheduled to square off that evening are the Passaic County Sheriff candidates: Republican Felix Garcia and Democrat Richard Berdnik.

“This election will be very close and Pascrell is getting nervous,” Straten said. “The folks in NJ-8 are on to his voting record and they've had enough. Pascrell does not want to be linked to Obama, Pelosi, or the Democrats, but he’s worked hand-in-glove with them to drag our economy down with their failed policies. The prosperity and freedoms that Americans have always enjoyed are in great danger of being lost forever, thanks to the massive burden of government spending and control imposed on us by Pascrell and his friends in Washington,” Straten said.
