Dear Glenn,
I managed to catch your "War Room" special and there is one thing you could clarify to me. You are right that the second amendment is for the ultimate last resort of the protection of our Constitution. How is this "Bubba Effect" any different from that scenario and why does it frighten you? I'm what you could call a good ol' boy and I don't advocate violence toward others, but I will stand on the Constitution and I know I am not alone in saying that I will defend it from behind the barrel of a gun. You bet we are teetering as a nation. You bet half of the nation (at minimum) doesn't want their children to grow up in the Socialist States of America. Why must we be afraid to do that which may unfortunately become inevitable. Look at the State Sovereignty Movement! I view it as America crying out to the federal government, pleading with them to stop with the nonsense. If that does not work, then what else CAN we do but take this nation back at gunpoint or dissolve the Union entirely. I am all for the cohesion of the United States, but I can see a fork in the road ahead. We are at the critical moment where we must choose a path- one to peace, civil disobedience and totalitarian government, and the other path is one of pain and bloodshed (that may not turn out in favor of the people) but it can lead us back to individual freedom and the fundamental founding principles that have eroded away to the point of impotence. I do not look forward to another revolution, but in truth the revolution of 1776 never ended. We, The People, have not been vigilant. We have failed in our job as citizens to keep a close eye upon those we grant power. I have NEVER, in my young life, EVER seen my Grandfather who fought for this land cry. He told me he was sorry that his generation couldn't preserve this land for us the way it was for them. I will make it my life's work to fight back. First with civility, and if that doesn't work then the "Bubba Effect" is a welcome alternative in my view. The day the federal government declares an undefined State of Emergency and comes for my property will be the day I bring Hell to their doorstep and we will journey there together! By the way, I would like to know- have YOU got your Real ID yet? I would rather be a non-person in the eyes of Uncle Sam than accept what I consider to be the Mark of the Beast. A non-person, by the way, probably doesn't have any Constitutional rights, meaning "Bubba" will soon be called a terrorist under the Homegrown Terrorism and Radicalization Act because of a Bible and a gun. Better yet, the media will portray these defenders of freedom as isolated nutjobs. I wish the best to you and yours. These are VERY dark times.
