Citizens Dedicated To Preserving Our Constitutional Republic
Greetings Everyone,
.
I’ve added the header and some color, mostly RED, and BLUE, on the WHITE background, because they are our colors, the colors of our flag, which most of us refer to as “Old Glory”. The colors of the “REPUBLIC OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!”
.
The RED, WHITE, and BLUE, OLD GLORY, the flag colors that VETERANS have over and over, again, and again laid down (given) their lives for to maintain and protect our FREEDOMS. Men and Women who have made the ultimate sacrifice, going above, and beyond to protect the freedoms of countless other nations worldwide also!
.
Below you will see some of the numbers, there are far, far more, as well as some of those countries that are VETERANS DIED defending.
.
As a veteran, I am offended by Obama’s words, and actions since he became President, and I feel that it is a “Grave, and Deliberate Insult” to, and of our deceased VETERANS, from past to present in his not placing the Wreath at the Memorial Ceremony this coming Monday, May 31, 2010.
.
Display our flag, our colors in their memory, in honor of them. A small flag on your porch, lawn, or a bow or a ribbon hanging from your front door or in a window, thank you…

Fellow Patriots,
It has been more than two months since my (Walter Gramm’s) last News Items for Patriots No. 60 and that is way too long. The main reason I have not written since then is that this Administration has ramped up their war on our freedoms, traditions, and economy so that not a day goes by when there is not a new front opening up. It’s almost too much to keep up with. But now the audacity, arrogance, inexperience, incompetence, and ideology of the OBAMA-REID-PELOSI REGIME is now on full public display to such an extent that even the sycophant mainstream media cannot ignore it. You have to start having hope when the likes of Chris Matthews, James Carville, and Peggy Noonan are attacking them for their inability to get anything done.
.
So, News Items will be back regularly with news, comment, and suggestions for Patriots, but for now I just want to invite you to join me in observing
.
Memorial Day 2010
.
This weekend is the unofficial start of summer, the occasion for family or neighborhood gatherings, for breaking out the barbecue and lawn furniture, and for relaxing and enjoying the warm weather. But let’s not forget the real reason for this holiday. Memorial Day began after the Civil War when it was called Decoration Day and was an occasion to place flowers on the graves of military men and women who gave their lives in the service of their country. It was officially renamed Memorial Day in 1967.
.
Take some time on Monday to remember those who died to preserve our freedom and way of life, those who, as President Abraham Lincoln said at Gettysburg, “gave the last full measure of devotion.”
.
Before firing up the grill on Monday, go to the parade or memorial service being conducted in your town or a nearby town. Salute or applaud the veterans as they walk or drive by your position. Sing proudly when the local school band plays the National Anthem or God Bless America. Doff your hat and stand at attention when Taps is played or wreaths are laid. Offer a prayer for those who have died in our nations wars, and those who will die even as we celebrate the holiday. Proudly fly the Star Spangled Banner in front of your house. Read stories about the heroes of our country’s past and the history of Memorial Day. Teach your children and grandchildren about the proud history of those who have sacrificed for us. Observe a moment of silence at 3:00 p.m. in their honor. If you have a recording of it, play Taps at that time.
.
Read the following poem, “In Flanders Field”, written in 1919 by John McCrae on the occasion of the funeral of his friend Lt. Alexis Helmer:
.
In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
.
We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved, and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.
.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.
.
And the next time you hear a political leader, foreign or domestic, apologize for our country’s “arrogance”, recall the following:

APOLOGIZE TO NO ONE.
.
Remind them of our sacrifice and don't confuse arrogance with leadership.
.
The count is 104,366 dead brave Americans.
.
HOW MANY FRENCH, DUTCH, ITALIANS, BELGIANS AND BRITS ARE BURIED ON OUR SOIL, DEFENDING US AGAINST OUR ENEMIES? WE DON'T ASK FOR PRAISE ... BUT WE HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO NEED TO APOLOGIZE!!
.
God bless our military deceased, our veterans, our current service men and women, and our beloved country..
.
Have a great Memorial Day weekend!

“If words cannot repay the debt we owe these men, surely with our actions we must strive to keep faith with them and with the vision that led them to battle and to final sacrifice.” – President Ronald Reagan, Arlington National Cemetery, May 31, 1982.
