For immediate release April 8, 2009

There will be a TEA PARTY on the Vernon Green on April 15, 2009, from

12 noon to 2 PM, on the Vernon Green in front of the Town Hall.



Tens of thousands of Americans from across the country will be turning

"Tax Day," (April 15) into "Tea Party" day protesting the borrowing,

bailouts and mountainous debt being accrued by our nation. Already, nearly

2,000 Tea Party events are scheduled across the nation.


Participants are encouraged to bring one tea bag for each person in

attendance which will be mailed to the United States Congress. Anyone

who wishes to express concern over this situation will be welcome to take

the microphone.


There is no cost and no food will be served. Participants are encouraged to

bring their own water bottles.
