Illegal immigrant facing death penalty in 2014 murder of Border Patrol agent.
Fox News By Greg Norman
Gustavo Tijerina-Sandoval has been found guilty in the 2014 murder of Border Patrol Agent Javier Vega Jr. His accomplice, Ismael Hernandez-Vallejo has yet to go to trial on the same charges. (Fox News)
A mexicano alien from mexico who has previously been arrested and deported multiple times for entering the U.S. illegally is now facing the death penalty after being found guilty in the 2014 murder of a Border Patrol agent in Texas.
Gustavo Tijerina-Sandoval, of La Villa, showed no emotion in court Wednesday as he was told by a judge that a jury found him guilty in the killing of Javier Vega Jr. and attempted murder of the agent’s father, Javier Vega Sr.
The younger Vega was gunned down in front of his family on August 3, 2014, after Tijerina-Sandoval and his accomplice, Ismael Hernandez-Vallejo, attempted to rob him to pay off a $3,500 debt to a man that was threatening Tijerina-Sandoval, according to court testimony and police statements.
Vega Jr., his wife and two kids had been fishing in Santa Monica with his father, and was struck in the chest with gunfire after pulling out his weapon in response. His father suffered a hip injury but Vega Jr. died in the attack.
An immigration checkpoint in Sarita, where Vega Jr. worked, was later renamed in tribute to him.
“Even when not in uniform, Agent Vega exemplified the selflessness and devotion to public safety that makes an extraordinary agent, and this will help honor his service and sacrifice,” Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas), had said about the fallen agent in 2017.
Ismael Hernandez-Vallejo has yet to go to trial for the same charges.
Tijerina-Sandoval could receive the death penalty in the sentencing phase for his trial, which is set to begin Thursday afternoon.
The agent’s family embraced each other, friends and members of law enforcement working on the case after the guilty verdict was announced Wednesday, the Brownsville Herald reported.
Tijerina-Sandoval’s defense attorneys, following the announcement, reportedly said they would need to talk to him first to figure out how to proceed in the case.
Fox News previously reported in 2014, following Tijerina-Sandoval’s arrest, that he had been found guilty numerous times of crossing into the U.S. illegally through its southern border with Mexico!
Hernandez-Vallejo was deported twice for doing the same, sources said.
In Hernandez-Vallejo’s first court appearance, he had expressed surprise at the charges that were facing him.
"I don't understand why I'm being accused of so many things," he said.
Hernandez-Vallejo has entered a not guilty plea in his case.

Twice-deported man allegedly on drugs kills Texas girl, 17, in crash, police say.
By Kathleen Joyce | Fox News
Britney Baez was killed in a car crash on May 27. Edy Lopez-Hernandez faces charges including murder, reports the Houston Police Department.
A man who had been deported twice is behind bars after crashing his vehicle into another car while on drugs, killing a Texas teenager who was on her way to the movies with her family.
Edy Lopez-Hernandez, 27, was charged with “murder, intoxication assault and failure to stop and render aid in connection with the crash” after he crashed into the vehicle carrying 17-year-old Britney Baez and her family on Saturday.
Houston Police Department said Lopez-Hernandez fled the scene of the crash with his 2-year-old son, who was in the car.
A witness stopped Lopez-Hernandez and told him to return to the crash scene, KTRK reported.
Baez’s sister, Nicole Baez, told KTRK that she was in the backseat with her sister when a car slammed into the rear of the vehicle they were traveling in.
"We were stopped at that light," Nicole Baez recalled. "I just remember sitting down on the sidewalk, my mom was still screaming my sister's name. I can hear my dad asking for water. I could sort of see people around me, that's when my arm started killing me," she continued.
Their father was critically injured in the collision and was in a hospital’s intensive care unit.
Police said Lopez-Hernandez was detained and transported to a hospital once he returned to the scene of the crash. At the hospital investigators determined he was “under the influence of narcotics.” His toddler son was also taken to a hospital for treatment.
A law enforcement told KTRK that Lopez-Hernandez appeared to be driving at 70 mph at the time of the crash. A law enforcement told KTRK that Lopez-Hernandez appeared to be driving at 70 mph at the time of the crash.
Baez’s family has set up a GoFundMe to help pay for funeral costs.
"We're going to always think of you and you're going to always be in our hearts," Baez’s cousin, Nancy Gomez, told KTRK.

FOX: Conservative Icon Will Receive Full Pardon From Trump.
5/31/18
President Trump announced Thursday he will pardon conservative filmmaker Dinesh D’Souza, who was convicted of making an illegal campaign contribution in 2014.
“Will be giving a Full Pardon to Dinesh D’Souza today. He was treated very unfairly by our government!” the president tweeted Thursday morning.
D’Souza pleaded guilty in 2014 for donating $20,000 to New York politician Wendy Long, allegedly going over the limit by directing other donors to give to her. He was sentenced to five years of probation and eight months in a halfway house, and paid a $30,000 fine.
Despite his guilty plea, D’Souza and his allies have claimed for years that he was unfairly singled out for prosecution, and unfairly treated by the obuma administration.
"Today, President Donald J. Trump issued an Executive Grant of Clemency (Full Pardon) to Dinesh D’Souza, an accomplished author, lecturer, and scholar," said a statement from White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders. "Mr. D’Souza was, in the President’s opinion, a victim of selective prosecution for violations of campaign finance laws. Mr. D’Souza accepted responsibility for his actions, and also completed community service by teaching English to citizens and immigrants seeking citizenship."

She added: "In light of these facts, the President has determined that Mr. D’Souza is fully worthy of this pardon."

Earlier in the day, Trump tweeted: “Will be giving a Full Pardon to Dinesh D’Souza today. He was treated very unfairly by our government!”

D'Souza told Fox News he received a call from the president on Wednesday to notify him of the decision.

"I am thrilled and relieved and elated and as an immigrant in America, my American dream has been under something of a cloud, so I'm very relieved to have that cloud lifted," D'Souza told Fox News on Thursday.

D'Souza said he and Trump spoke for about 10 minutes, calling it a "very pleasant and very exciting call."

"President Trump told me he felt I had been treated very unfairly and he felt that I was an important voice for America," D'Souza said. "He wanted to clean my record and adhere to continue doing what I'm doing."

D'Souza tweeted later Thursday that "Obama & his stooges tried to extinguish my American dream," while thanking Trump.

The conservative filmmaker had pleaded guilty in 2014 for donating $20,000 to New York politician Wendy Long, allegedly going over the contribution limit by directing other donors to give to her. He was sentenced to five years of probation and eight months in a halfway house, and paid a $30,000 fine.

Despite his guilty plea, D’Souza and his allies have claimed for years that he was unfairly singled out for prosecution, and unfairly treated by the Obama administration.

D'Souza in 2012 made a hit anti-Obama documentary called “2016: Obama’s America.” The film examined then-President Obama’s past and early influences that may have shaped his political ideology.

D’Souza’s 2014 indictment was announced by then-U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara, who was appointed by Obama and fired in 2017 by Trump. The indictment stated that D’Souza was charged with one count of illegally donating to a Senate campaign and one count of causing false statements to be made to authorities in connection with the contributions.

D’Souza’s illegal campaign contribution was made in 2012 to Long’s U.S. Senate campaign. D’Souza pleaded guilty to using a “straw donor” to make the donation.

A straw donor is a person who illegally uses another person’s finances to make a political contribution in their own name. Straw donor schemes are illegal under U.S. law, which states that no person should knowingly permit their name to be used to “effect such a contribution” and no person “shall knowingly accept” a contribution made by “one person in the name of another person.”
D’Souza allegedly coordinated donations to Long’s campaign through friends and acquaintances. Long lost her Senate bid against now-Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, D-N.Y.

RINOs Are Trying to Force Vote on Amnesty
05/30/2018 American Action News
Congressional Democrats are using a little-known parliamentary trick to try and force a vote on amnesty for DACA recipients, and it may work thanks to a small number of breakaway Republicans.
So far, 212 House members have signed a discharge petition filed by Democrats, seeking debate and a vote on several immigration bills.
Under House rules, if a majority of the House signs a discharge petition, the Speaker must schedule a debate and a vote on the bill or bills named in the petition.
Twenty-three of those signatures are from Republicans. If just six more members of Congress sign, reaching the required 218, the House will be forced to debate and vote upon immigration bills.
Liberals are causing enough problems with their obstruction of the President on everything, with out regard for their constituents. Rinos are even worse, not only do they dismiss the will of the voters, but they are betraying their own party. Term limits can't come soon enough, and make them short. They should not get lifetime benefits. They aren't earning them while they are in office, and they sure don't deserve them when they are gone.
Also, do away with free medical for life.

Deputy Was Dragged Into The Forest By Three Men, But His K9 Partner Wasn’t Ready To Give Up!
Police officers have one of the most dangerous jobs in the world and there’s no doubt about that. Their lives are put in danger every day but this doesn’t make them quit!
They keep doing their job because saving people is what they do best.
While on patrol one day, this police officer found himself in a situation that could have been fatal if it wasn’t for his K9 partner. Everything happened so quickly that he barely had time to think. Thankfully, he had an amazing idea that saved his life! The man is Deputy Todd Frazier of Long Beach, Mississippi. Todd doesn’t have a usual partner like all police officers do because his partner is a dog! Todd and Lucas share a strong bond because they’ve been together for a long time. They captured tens of criminals together and Lucas knew that his role was to protect Todd from harm’s way. And so he did!
Lucas is one of the most loyal dogs we have ever seen and we’re not surprised that he ended up saving Todd’s life. His bravery made him a national hero!
Here’s how everything started.
It was just a regular day for Todd Frazier and his dog Lucas. They were cruising around the outskirts of the town when Todd saw a car stopped on the side of the road. He decided to check out what was happening.
The deputy got out of his car and headed towards what he thought was a passed out driver on the side of the road. Little did he know, something terrific was about to happen to him!
Out of nowhere, two men grabbed Deputy and started dragging him towards the woods. The two men were holding Todd by his hands and he couldn’t do anything. Luckily, he came up with a brilliant idea that wound up saving his life!
It was just a normal day on the job for Todd and, as always, he had his best friend by his side. The police dog was not only Todd’s partner but also his guardian angel. It was more than loyalty that connected these two friends, and when Lucas felt that Todd was in danger, he acted on instinct!
As Todd was being dragged into the woods, he opened the door of his car by pressing hard on his keychain.
Lucas comes out the car as soon as the doors open.
The two thugs who were trying to hurt the Deputy had no idea that the dog was around. And when Lucas realized that Todd was in danger, he jumped into action!
Todd was trying to call for help, but the two men were not letting him. The Deputy was fearing for his life at that point, especially when he heard what the two men were planning to do with him!
Todd said that as he was being dragged through the woods, the two men told him that they were going to slit his throat! Can you imagine what Todd felt like when he heard that? Fortunately, Lucas was now out of the car.
Lucas spots the criminals and he immediately attacks them! Lucas bit one of them so hard that they got scared and ran away. What do you think Todd did next? *** Well after changing his drawers, he..... ***
Todd didn’t waste any time and he called for backup and an ambulance because he got cut in the process. How bad do you think his cut was?
Fortunately, the attackers didn’t hurt Todd bad-- they cut him on the forehead. The cut was made with a box cutter and Todd was taken straight to the hospital when the backup arrived.
This wasn’t the first time that a police officer was attacked around that area. This is when Todd knew that the two men who tried to kill him were gang members.
Todd got lucky because he had Lucas with him!
He says that he will keep searching for those two men to try and bring them in.
Police officers are dedicated to their job!
This terrific story shows us just how much dogs love their partner!
Having a dog as a partner is not unusual.
No one can deny the fact that Lucas is a life saver!
Lucas is a special dog and his actions show us that K9 units can be super helpful to their partner!
This story would not have a happy ending if Lucas wasn’t around when Todd was attacked.
Deputy Todd Frazier specializes in training K9 units and he strongly believes that every police car should have one!
These dogs are highly trained and they play an important role in life or death situations.

BREAKING: Congressman Calling It Quits.
05/28/2018 USA Today by: Nicole Gaudiano and Carolyn McAtee Cerbin
Rep. Tom Garrett, R-Va., announced Monday he's quitting his race for re-election, citing problems with alcohol.
The congressman representing Virginia's 5th District recently was the subject of a Politico article in which staffers said Garrett and his wife, Flanna Garrett, treated them like servants. The former and current staff members alleged the Garretts asked them to run errands, including caring for their dog.
On Wednesday, Garrett, 46, told associates he was thinking of retiring from Congress, according to Politico.
Then on Thursday he told reporters he would seek re-election in November during a "rambling, roughly half-hour news conference," Politico reported.
“There is no way in heck that I’m not going to be back here in 2019 as a member of the Congress representing the 5th District of Virginia. Too darn much is at stake,“ Garrett said, according to the article.
COMMENTS:
1) Thank GOD we finally have a drug/alcohol free President. GONE is Roofie Man and KING COCAINE. http://www.blogtalkradio.com/spiri Don't worry sis. President Trump won't let the communist demorats kill us!
2) I firmly believe that EVERY member of Congress should be REQUIRED to pass a drug and alcohol test BEFORE every vote. Every company that has government contracts is required to have drug testing for ALL employees, by law, passed by Congress. I see no reason for Congress to be exempt of that same law. Besides, it should cut down on some of the insane laws and amendments being passed.

North Korea is to Blame for the Cancelled Summit.
5/9/18 By llvadmin
Leading up to the summit between President Trump and Kim Jong-Un, many feared that North Korea’s unpredictable ruler would cancel the summit at the last minute. It turned out, though, that President Trump was the one to call off the historic meeting.
This action has provided Trump’s opponents with yet another opportunity to attack his leadership. Yet, in the end, it is still North Korea that is to blame for the summit being canceled.
Leading up to the summit, the dialogue of North Korea has grown increasingly hostile, and concessions they once seemed willing to make – such as denuclearizing the Korean peninsula – were taken off the table.
The summit increasingly began to look like an opportunity for Kim Jong-Un to gain major concessions from the United States without giving up anything himself.
By canceling the summit, Trump showed that these actions were not going to work. In the end, President Trump sacrificed an opportunity to make history and cement himself as the first President to ever meet with North Korea’s leader in order to send a powerful message and gain leverage over the rogue nation.
The meeting between Trump and Kim Jong-Un may still end up taking place, but not before North Korea realizes that they must give in order to receive from the United States.

Crooked kllary Scandals That Aren't Going Away!
05/30/2018 by: TTN Staff
killary clinton must be the most slippery, unethical, lying person to ever run for president.
The most infuriating part of that is, she gets away with it. Normal people do not widely share classified information, only to have the Department of Justice to give their subordinates immunity and call it a mulligan, or more specifically, a "matter". Because the statute of limitations is five years on "unauthorized disclosure of classified information", she's probably gotten away with that one too.
There are some things about Hillary that won't go away so easily. She has so many scandals, many of which are criminal in nature, that she just won't be able to sweep them under the rug.
1.) Spygate;
President Trump says that this scandal is bigger than Watergate, the very investigation kllary was fired from as a young lawyer. kllary clinton's campaign funded the Steele Dossier, which was used as justification for the obuma administration to surveil the Trump campaign and incoming administration. killery least responsible for the conduct of her campaign operatives, who colluded with Russians to "gather" the absurd information. At worst, she was part and parcel of the effort to spy on her rival campaign, which puts her in the same position as Richard Nixon.
2.) Pay For Play At The Clinton Foundation;
Money rained down from countries all over the world when killary was the Secretary of State, and likely replacement, of barry obuma. bill clinton was handsomely compensated for speeches, and donors would be given special access to the secretary of state, creating the appearance that American policy was for sale to the highest bidder.
No other high ranking official has ever done this on such a massive scale, as their records that it has received seven gifts of more than $25 million and another nineteen worth $10 to $25 million, many of which are from foreign entities.
3.) Selling Russia 20% Of America's Uranium!
The State Department approved the sale of a Canadian company known as Uranium One to Rosatom in 2013, backed by the Russian state, which has assets in the U.S. Uranium is a key material for making nuclear weapons. The deal enables Russia to control about 20% of U.S. uranium production capacity. An FBI informant, Douglas Campbell, alleged that Moscow paid millions of dollars to a lobbying firm to help bill clinton’s charities in order to influence killary clinton.
4.) killary's Lies About Her Health;
killary has made news lately because of an odd bulge between her shoulder blades, which many believe to be a back brace. She has continually had health scares that were unsuccessfully hidden from the media, like when she collapsed at a 9/11 memorial service during the 2016 campaign. She would have had difficulty rising to the physical requirements of the presidency, and it isn't clear whether she would have been able to lead as president, which may well have endangered the country. As her health declines, she will have a harder time hiding the nature of her condition.
5.) killary's Elaborate $84 Million Dollar Money Laundering Scheme;
"You're not going to find anybody more committed to aggressive campaign finance reform than me,” Hillary said in 2016. Yet, she used a shell game, described in the Supreme Court's McCutcheon case, to funnel money to the campaign from the Democratic National Committee to state parties, as her campaign still controlled the funds. Some $84 million was processed through a "joint fundraising committee", far above the legal limits. Any other candidate would be heavily fined or prosecuted!
But killary remains unscathed by the scandal. Depending on what the Federal Election Commission does, that may change, but one thing is for sure: it's not going anywhere!

Surprise: Watchdog Group Discovers Secret Iranian Missile Site Hidden in Remote Desert Location.
5/30/18 10:45 AM Guy Benson
This story broke before the long weekend, it largely got lost in the culture war cacophony.
One of the fundamental flaws of the Iran nuclear deal -- from which President Trump has withdrawn the United States, correctly, in my view -- is that the regime in Tehran simply is not a reliable partner. Even if they were to technically abide by every one of the West's temporary restrictions (it must be noted that they have not done so scrupulously, and lied from the very beginning), the Iranians would emerge from their decade-plus stay in the global penalty box as a cash-flush threshold nuclear-armed power, thanks to the accord's extraordinary and lopsided concessions.
Resident obuma has effectively admitted as much, just as he's allowed that the regime has almost certainly exploited its new financial windfall to finance terrorism, and has breached the "spirit" of the agreement through its ongoing pursuit of technology to deliver the nuclear weapons they continue to covet. And now we can add even more clandestine treachery to the rap sheet, via the New York Times:
For years, Iran has been operating a secret weapons facility in a remote desert. Satellite imagery strongly suggests it’s for developing long-range missiles — which can deliver nuclear warheads — which is often “conducted under cover of night.”
An Iranian facility 25 miles from Shahrud, Iran, where missiles testing is believed to be taking place. Deep in the Desert, Iran Quietly Advances Missile Technology
Iran’s long-range missile program was thought to be dormant, but researchers see evidence that it may have resumed.
When an explosion nearly razed Iran’s long-range missile research facility in 2011 — and killed the military scientist who ran it — many Western intelligence analysts viewed it as devastating to Tehran’s technological ambitions. Since then, there has been little indication of Iranian work on a missile that could reach significantly beyond the Middle East, and Iranian leaders have said they do not intend to build one.
So, this spring, when a team of California-based weapons researchers reviewed new Iranian state TV programs glorifying the military scientist, they expected a history lesson with, at most, new details on a long-dormant program. Instead, they stumbled on a series of clues that led them to a startling conclusion: Shortly before his death, the scientist, Gen. Hassan Tehrani Moghaddam, oversaw the development of a secret, second facility in the remote Iranian desert that, they say, is operating to this day...
For weeks, the researchers picked through satellite photos of the facility. They found, they say, that work on the site now appears to focus on advanced rocket engines and rocket fuel, and is often conducted under cover of night. It is possible that the facility is developing only medium-range missiles, which Iran already possesses, or perhaps an unusually sophisticated space program...But an analysis of structures and ground markings at the facility strongly suggests, though does not prove, that it is developing the technology for long-range missiles, the researchers say...If completed, [an Iranian long range missile program] could threaten Europe and potentially the United States...Five outside experts who independently reviewed the findings agreed that there was compelling evidence that Iran is developing long-range missile technology.
The online version of the Times' story links to this 2017 report in which Iranian leaders are quoted swearing up and down that they had no interest in long-range missile technology: "Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said his country will not develop ballistic missiles with a range exceeding 2,000 kilometers, reinforcing prior statements by officials and military leaders about missile range limitations," it reads. This regime does not tell the truth.
More:
United Nations Resolution 2231 only “called” on Iran to refrain from ballistic missile activities, including development and testing, there is a clear prohibition on transfers or exports of ballistic missiles and related technologies without advance approval from the UN Security Council. A similar process is required for a range of armaments.
A U.S. statement tying a missile fired on Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to Iran raises concerns that Iran may have violated the restriction prohibiting transfers. The Saudi military intercepted a missile from Yemen targeted at Riyadh’s international airport on Nov. 4. Air Force Lt. Gen. Jeffrey Harrigan, head of U.S. Air Force Central Command in Qatar, said on Nov. 10 that there have been Iranian markings on missiles used by the Houthis against Saudi and Saudi-backed forces in the war in Yemen. He said the markings “connect the dots to Iran.”
Other countries, including Saudi Arabia and France, also linked the missile to Iran in earlier statements. Again, Iran is either directly violating international law, or at least thumbing its nose at the clear "spirit" of the international nuclear pact to which it has ostensibly agreed. Defenders of that deal will eagerly point to this detail: "Such a program would not violate the international deal intended to prevent Iran from developing a nuclear weapon."
It's true: In a major eleventh-hour giveaway to Tehran, the obuma administration caved to Iranian demands that the West also ease sanctions against its illicit ballistic missiles program, and lift the existing international weapons embargo. The fact that the discovery of a (growing) secret desert facility designed for the development of long-range missiles (the pursuit of which Iranian leaders have denied), largely operating in the dark of night, would not constitute a violation of the Iran deal is not a compelling defense of the Iran deal. It is a devastating indictment of it.
Speaking of which, one word that does not appear anywhere in the New York Times piece (which is worth a thorough read for a summary of multiple incriminating details) is "inspections." It may be too late by now, but shouldn't the West be able to gain virtually instant access to this compound to determine its purpose and examine its progress? Maybe not. For all of the "echo chamber's" bragging about robust inspections, military sites are off limits, according to the Iranians.
And as the deal makes clear, Iran is in the driver's seat, happy to exploit the rest of the vaunted "international community" desperation to maintain their precious agreement.
Fortunately, the Trump administration has not been nearly as enthralled with this reckless legacy project. In case you missed it, I'll leave you with Secretary of State Mike Pompeo's forceful speech on Iran's path forward from last week -- with five key takeaways from the address enumerated in a Jerusalem Post column:

Horrible: Body of National Guardsman Found in Maryland Floods
The community of Ellicott City, Maryland experienced devastating floods this weekend.
It was their second in two years.
Witness Kate Bowman described to the Baltimore Sun how one man had tried to rescue her and her cat before being swept away by the rushing water himself on Sunday.
“I could barely see anything and I could barely hear anything,” Bowman, 41, recalled. “He stepped over the ledge to try to get to me, and he was washed away.”
On Tuesday, the Howard County Police posted a devastating update on the victim, 39-year-old National Guardsman Eddison Hermond.
Hermond had joined the Maryland Army National Guard in 2009 after serving in the Air Force for more than a decade.
Before this weekend's natural disaster, Ellicott City citizens were still trying to recover from the 2016 flood, which caused millions of dollars in damage.
The city had been working on a flood mitigation plan, but only 30% had been completed by the time this weekend's flood hit. The 2016 flood was, after all, supposed to be a "1-in-1,000" kind of storm.
