12-Year-Old Nathan Zuniga: First Native American West Coast All-American Football Star.
Iipay Nation’s Nathan Zuniga was selected as one of 70 in his age group in the Western United States.
Nathan Zuniga of the Iipay Nation of Santa Ysabel became the first Native American youth football player from the west to be recognized as a Diamond West Coast All-American in January.
The 5’ 4”, 195-pound offensive and defensive lineman played in the West Coast Bowl Game held in Murrieta, California. Zuniga’s red team defeated the blue team 14-8. He told ICMN he enjoyed the experience.
“It made me feel proud,” Zuniga told ICMN, “knowing I am the only Native American [representing] the west coast.”Due to his performance, Nathan Zuniga has been selected to advance to the East vs. West game played in May in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
“I like to go head-to-head with bigger or smaller players to show them what I’m made of,” Zuniga says.
His family, who fund-raised for him to participate in the contest, traveled 18 miles from the Pala Indian Reservation to watch the game.
“When my parents told me about [the game], I did my research,” he says.”I got very excited and knew it would be [an] awesome experience and a great opportunity to see and play against other kids from around the United States.
Nathan Zuniga received a nomination and from there, his family, who refers to him as “Nate Dawg” helped him fund-raise for registration and equipment fees.
His youth football team, the Temecula Saints, gave him well wishes before his departure via Facebook: “Congratulations to Nathan Zuniga (Temecula Saints Midget Player) for making the “Diamond Youth All American Bowl” also the first Native American to make the team!”
Diamond Sports Group hosts two All American Bowl Games each year. The All-American games feature 70 of the nation’s top youth athletes from 3rd to 9th grade, and seniors in high school. Two 35 player rosters are formed from across the country through a nomination process.
“Our mission is to give the best exposure to these young athletes and show them now how to stay on the right path and to take this journey with us through high school,” Diamond Sports Group’s mission statement says.
Nathan Zuniga says he idolizes Jim Thorpe, the Pro Football Hall of Famer who rose to fame about 100 years before Zuniga was born. “He’s by far my favorite football player because he was Native and proved to people that Native’s are the best.”

First Native American Astronaut John Herrington is honored.
A 13-day Space Shuttle mission to the International Space Station, a trip including three spacewalks for Herrington totaling nearly 20 hours.
Fifteen years after that life-changing journey, Herrington decided to write a children’s book, Mission to Space, rather than an autobiography, in hopes of showing children — especially Native American kids,he’s an enrolled member of the Chickasaw Nation, — that dreams can come true, no matter where you start in life.
“I played astronaut as a kid. I used to sit in a cardboard box and dream I was going to the moon,” Herrington recalls. That dream is what kids connect to, he says, and why he wrote a book full of colorful images of him on the shuttle, in space and training for the journey, as well as of Chickasaws celebrating the feat.

“This is not a stereotypical Plains Indian on horseback with a war bonnet,” he says. “This is a Native person who’s proud of where he comes from, who’s gone through a collegiate career and professional career, but still honors where he came from.”
A children’s book is a natural step for the astronaut, who has spent much of the past decade working on children’s and tribal issues. In 2008, he rode a bike cross-country, visiting reservations and NASA Explorer schools, and telling his story of self-motivation and supportive mentors pushing him to places he could never have imagined as a kid.
On the ride, he fell in love with a woman from Lewiston, Idaho, and he moved there in 2009. His passion for working with kids drove him to get a Ph.D. in education at the University of Idaho in 2014, and he’s currently working with Rosetta Stone to preserve the Chickasaw language. In fact, the last two pages of Mission to Space — which he’ll sign and discuss at Auntie’s on Saturday — are dedicated to translations of Chickasaw terms for English words like “astronaut,” “gravity” and “spacewalk.”
Herrington’s excitement about his space travels comes through in the book, and even more so in conversation. Asked how he describes walking in space to us Earth-bound folks, he describes how “your mind will play tricks on you in space.”
“It will flip you upside down instantaneously in your brain, because gravity is not telling you which way is down anymore,” Herrington says. “Your body doesn’t have that sensation of being pulled down.
So if you’re looking at something, your mind will say, ‘That’s right-side up.’ But you know full well you’re upside down. The first time it happens, you go, ‘Whaaaaa?’ It’s weird.”

Trump Slashes Two Million Acres off of Bears Ears and Grand Staircase: Tribes To Sue.
In an announcement by President Trump on Monday in Salt Lake City, the size of two national monuments would be drastically reduced. According to the Trump administration, the Bears Ears National Monument would be reduced by 85 percent, and Grand Staircase-Escalante, would be reduced to half its current size. It is the largest cut to federal land protection in U.S. History.
“Some people think that the natural resources of Utah should be controlled by a small handful of very distant bureaucrats located in Washington,” said Trump said at Utah’s State Capitol, “And guess what? They’re wrong … together, we will usher in a bright new future of wonder and wealth.”
The move by the Trump administration was a reversal of protections put in place by resident barry obuma, who designated Bears Ears as a national monument in 2016, and resident Slick Willy who classified the Grand Staircase-Escalante in 1996.
Shortly after the announcement by Trump, the inter-tribal coalition, comprised of the Ute Mountain Tribe, the Ute Indian Tribe, the Navajo Nation, the Hopi and the Zuni, filed a lawsuit against the executive order on the basis that President Trump does not have the legal authority to remove the national monument protections.
U.S. Secretary of the Interior Ryan Zinke toured Bears Ears National Monument in May 2017. U.S. Secretary of the Interior Ryan Zinke toured Bears Ears National Monument in May 2017.
The Navajo Nation issued a statement that said they were not able to consult with the President regarding Bears Ears and that they now had no other recourse than to seek litigation.
“The Navajo Nation has made repeated requests to meet with President Trump on this issue. The Bears Ears Monument is of critical importance, not only to the Navajo Nation but to many tribes in the region,” President Begaye said in the statement. “The decision to reduce the size of the Monument is being made with no tribal consultation. The Navajo Nation will defend Bears Ears. The reduction in the size of the Monument leaves us no choice but to litigate this decision.”
Newly elected Navajo Nation President Russell Begaye: “We need to unite, work together hard and move forward.” Navajo Nation President Russell Begaye.
“Bears Ears National Monument is not just for Native Americans but for all Americans,” Vice President Jonathan Nez said in the statement. “This is a sad day for indigenous people and for America. However, we are resilient and refuse to allow President Trump’s unlawful decision to discourage us. We will continue to fight in honor of our ancestral warriors who fought for our way of life, for our culture and for our land too.”
Native American Rights Fund Staff Attorney Matthew Campbell also stated we will fight to uphold the rights of Native people, “Bears Ears is one of the most important places for Indian Country, and that is why Indian Country came together to advocate for this important place. Trump’s attack on Bears Ears is an attack on all of us, and we will fight to protect it.”
Though environmental groups and native tribes say the decision will threaten over 100,000 archaeologically important / sacred sites, Republicans and fossil fuel companies consider the move a victory in seeking more localized control of the lands.
“The Antiquities Act does not give the Federal Government unlimited power to lock up millions of acres of land and water, and it’s time we ended this abusive practice. Public lands will once again be for public use,” said Trump In a statement issued from the Department of the Interior.
“I thank President Trump for his leadership on the Monument Review and for keeping his promise to make sure the rural voice is heard once again,” said Secretary Zinke.
According to the Interior release, monuments have been reduced at least eighteen times under presidents on both sides of the aisle and examples include: President John F. Kennedy excluding Bandelier National Monument, Presidents Taft, Wilson, and Coolidge reducing Mount Olympus National Monument, and President Eisenhower reducing the Great Sand Dunes National Monument in Colorado.
The release also cited Interior Secretary Zinke did meet with tribal leaders prior to the decision by Trump.
In addition to tribal leaders and conservation groups, the National Congress of American Indians and its president Jefferson Keel, also condemned the decision by the Trump Administration.
“The NCAI opposes President Trump’s efforts to reduce two monuments that hold tribal sacred places. Monday, President Trump issued Presidential Proclamations reducing the size of the Bears Ears and Grand Staircase national monuments in Utah. These monuments were initially designated as monuments to ensure that tribal and American citizens would have use of these significant landscapes for generations to come. The National Congress of American Indians stands by the efforts of all affected Tribal Governments and local communities who are determined to protect these sacred places in their entirety,” said the release.
“The original intent of the Antiquities Act was to protect our tribal sacred sites and the cultural objects in those sites. The history of our Indigenous ancestors lives in these sacred places. Today’s action to reduce Bears Ears and Grand Staircase-Escalante endangers our freedom of religion, our histories and our communities,” stated Jefferson Keel, President of NCAI in the release. “We stand with the Tribes of the Bears Ears Inter-Tribal Coalition as well as the Tribes impacted by other Monument designations.”
Bears Ears and Grand Staircase-Escalante were both designated under the original intent of the Antiquities Act. The Antiquities Act granted power to the President to create national monuments to protect Tribal sacred sites and cultural objects.
The Act does not grant the President the authority to reduce and revoke the boundaries of national monuments as was done Monday.
**** So how did monuments be reduced at least eighteen times under presidents on both sides of the aisle and examples include: President John F. Kennedy excluding Bandelier National Monument, Presidents Taft, Wilson, and Coolidge reducing Mount Olympus National Monument, and President Eisenhower reducing the Great Sand Dunes National Monument in Colorado.?****

PISSED OFF YET?
Syrian Man With Four Wives And 22 Kids Gets $ 360,000 A Year In Welfare!
First of all he shouldn’t be here and if he is healthy enough to make babies & have 4 wives too, they are healthy enough to WORK!!
Plus only one wife is allowed in this country, you all need to be shipped out as quickly as possible!
Anger is growing among U.S Citizens. We are outraged by the recent exposure of the consequences of muslim immigration!
We have to pay a fortune in social assistance to Syrian immigrants that are living in the United States. There are many cases in Europe too!
In Denmark, where a Syrian man with 3 wives and 20 kids gets DKK 214,000 in child benefits, which caused outrage in Denmark and proposals for changing the law.
Ghazia A.49 was a self-employed cars salesman in Syria, where he provided for himself and his large family. In 2015 he traveled to Germany, and that was the end of self- sustaining. In Germany, he does not lift a finger. He lives on social welfare paid by German taxpayers. And he does so with his four wives and 22 children. He also has an adult daughter who is married in Saudi Arabia.
How much he would earn if he was in the USA? There are thousands of cases of muslims coming into our country and living on welfare!
A U.S. economist has calculated how much this family would take from the U.S. Treasury. He reached a figure that it is about $ 360,000 a year.
Yet vets struggle every day. Not to mention hard working people who live payday to payday.
Many Americans are seeing red, that they are the ones who must pay the large sum.
Money to healthy adults who do not work and even undermines American values with polygamy.
In muslim countries, a man is usually allowed to have up to four wives.
Ghazia A. is one of the many muslim men who has used this right in Syria.
In the United States and most of the western countries, however, polygamy is prohibited.
There is a growing number of muslims in the United States who practice polygamy.
Ghazia A. admittedly was asked to make one of the four wives his official wife, and he chose Twasif with five children as his official wife. The three other women now live three other places, with the other 17 children.
But in reality, his polygamy remains largely unchanged !
Authorities have designated the three other wives, as his ‘partners’. They also live nearby.

Opnion: Canada Needs to Seal Illegal Crossings at US Border.

  5/16/18 Rachel Marsden

PARIS -- You'd think it would be a no-brainer that anyone showing up at a country's border would only be able to enter at the discretion of that country, and that they would have to do so at a legal checkpoint. A nation's sovereignty is partly determined by its ability to defend itself from invasion. And what else would you call massive, organized groups of non-citizens attempting to crash the border outside of official checkpoints?

U.S. President Donald Trump clearly recognizes the importance of strong borders and vetting procedures to ensure America's security. It's hard not to notice the price paid for doing otherwise when just a few days ago here in Paris, yet another naturalized individual originating from a known terrorist hotbed started knifing people in the middle of one of the city's busiest tourist districts, killing one person and injuring several others before being shot and killed by police.

This time, the terrorist hailed from Chechnya in the North Caucasus region, where Russian President Vladimir Putin's security forces have long been attempting to crack down on Islamic terrorism while leftists whine about his efforts to do so.

France, America, Canada, Germany and other Western nations are ripe for exploitation of their goodwill. Citizens of these countries are constantly cautioned against conflating "migrant" and "terrorist," as tends to happen when someone whose country of origin is synonymous with terrorism stages an attack. Meanwhile, anyone who refuses to conflate "migrant" with "victim" is labeled an incorrigible bigot.

However, Trump is now imposing a similar immigration burden on America's northern neighbor -- and unsurprisingly, Canada is being far too nice about it.

With Trump terminating the temporary protected status of foreign nationals from countries synonymous with insecurity and violence earlier this year -- including about 262,000 Salvadorans, 86,600 Hondurans and 5,300 Nicaraguans -- Canada has faced waves of migrants trying their luck farther north rather than returning home. In the first quarter of this year, approximately 7,500 asylum seekers crashed Canada's border between legal checkpoints, where they were nonetheless met by kindly police officers and taken for processing.

You can't blame Trump for trying to make bad U.S. immigration policy another country's problem, much like you can't blame a man at the bar for taking a shot a asking a gal out.

But that doesn't mean you have to leave with him.

What's mind-boggling is that Canada is so willing to roll over and let Canadian taxpayers bear the brunt of poor choices made by previous American governments. If Trump was wagering that Canadians would be too nice to defend their borders, it was clearly a winning gamble.

It's clear that many illegal immigrants aren't getting the message. Maybe it's because instead of getting blocked at the border, they're welcomed and given government benefits for as long as they remain in limbo. How long is that, exactly? According to the Canadian government website, the wait for an applicant is 19 months for an initial assessment and 10 more months for a final decision on citizenship.

Canada's Conservative Party is recommending that the entire U.S.-Canada border be designated an official entry point in order to eliminate a technicality in the Safe Third Country agreement between the U.S. and Canada that allows immigrants to play asylum roulette between the two countries if they avoid entering at an official checkpoint.

Canada needs to stop playing nice and start acting! Send the Royal Canadian Mounted Police to the border to defend it. At some point, Trump would presumably notice the buildup of immigrants on America's northern border after they're denied entry into Canada.

It would be fun to watch Trump make the case to Canada that it has to sacrifice its own sovereignty in the interests of protecting America's.

New York Times Wants To See Remington Bought, Run Into The Ground!
5/15/18 News Tom Knighton
The New York Times isn’t exactly a place you go to get advice for the firearm industry. After all, most of its reporters have never seen a firearm outside of a police officer’s holster, much less fired one.
With that in mind, just how in the hell would it have any real, useful, and meaningful advice for anyone in the firearm industry.
It seems that someone there thinks they know how to fix the entire industry, and they’re hoping a group of banks will step in and buy Remington to implement some of the dumbest ideas out there.
Remington Outdoor, one of the country’s oldest and largest gun makers, is getting ready to emerge from bankruptcy.
The question is whether somebody, anybody will buy the company, especially at such a politically and emotionally polarized time for the gun industry.
The usual suspects of potential buyers are circling, including rival gun manufacturers like Sturm, Ruger & Company and some small financiers willing to accept whatever criticism would come from buying Remington.
More tantalizing is a pie-in-the-sky idea: whether a beneficent billionaire, like Michael R. Bloomberg, could buy the company and either try to transform it or shut it down — a sort of philanthropic euthanasia in the name of gun control.
While this isn’t exactly the smartest use of someone’s money, it’s not exactly as dumb as it gets. I could see Bloomberg doing something just like that, and while it wouldn’t be a win for the gun industry, we’d move past it soon enough. Someone else would pick up Remington’s market share, and the industry would soldier along.
But then the real derp starts to fly!
Yet all of those options have challenges. So here’s a practical idea that should be considered more than just a thought experiment:
What if the big banks that have provided financing to Remington during its bankruptcy were to back — and partner with — one or more of the big private equity firms in an effort to transform the company into the most advanced and responsible gun manufacturer in the country?
And they would not be out to kill the business; quite the opposite: They could create a profitable model for the rest of the industry using technology and sound sales policies to reinvent the modern-gun manufacturer.
A reimagined Remington with a new management and mandate could develop smart-gun technology. It could back fingerprint technology meant to prevent anyone who is not the gun’s owner from shooting it, a measure that could greatly reduce suicides and the potential for guns to be stolen. It could add an identity stamp to ammunition fired from any of its guns. It could also establish and standardize responsible sales policies for retailers to sell its firearms.
What would happen, for instance, if a consortium were to come together so that the banks offered the buyer a below-market loan, giving a socially responsible investor the advantage of a lower cost of capital? What would happen if one of the big retail chains like Walmart and Dick’s — both of which have already established that they only want to sell guns in a responsible way — were to guarantee distribution, sales and marketing support?
Oh, that’s simple.
NO ONE WOULD BUY THE BLASTED THINGS!
Smart gun technology has been blocked by gun rights activists, not because we don’t support responsibility, but because the technology can result in people dying. Technology fails, for one thing. Who wants to be weeping at a funeral because someone didn’t realize they needed to replace the battery in their gun?
For another, I may not be the one needing to shoot my gun. What if I’m not at home and someone tries to break into my home? Is my wife supposed to let horrible things happen just because someone decided we need smart guns instead of what we already know works?
And smart guns won’t reduce suicides. It won’t. Many people who commit suicide do so with their firearm or a firearm they’re authorized to use. In other words, they’ll be able to “unlock” the smart gun.
Let’s be clear, if there were a legitimate market for smart guns, companies would be developing it. Glock, H&K, and Sig Sauer are all companies based outside of the United States with sizeable markets outside of the U.S. They could easily decide to develop smart guns, and even if the American market dried up because of that, they’d be fine.
But they’re not, and they’re not because no one wants to buy the damn things!!
You see, the New York Times doesn’t understand how business works. The gun industry isn’t the “Field of Dreams.” If you build it, people aren’t going to come. There’s not some silent majority desperately waiting for smart guns to become a thing, so developing technology that no one wants isn’t going to change the landscape of the industry.
It’s going to put Remington out of business forever.
Maybe that’s an acceptable end result for this writer. I’m pretty sure it is.
It’s ridiculous to see someone who most likely has never even fired a gun, much less follow the industry like we do, offer advice on just how to bring Remington back from the brink.
Of course, that advice would actually run the company into the ground.

Fox News Star Gives Huge Praise To President Trump.
05/15/18 by: TTN Staff
On the heels of the historic move of the US Embassy To Jerusalem, Fox News Anchor Judge Jeanine Pirro heaped a great deal of praise on President Trump.
"In fulfilling a promise Trump showed he is a man of his word and will stand with Israel on a level almost no other president has."
From a report by WND:
Fox News anchor Judge Jeanine Pirro, citing the decision by President Trump to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and establish the U.S. Embassy there, is comparing the president to the biblical King Cyrus.
Cyrus, a Persian king, founded the Achaemenid Empire, conquered Babylon and made history by allowing the Jews to return to Jerusalem to rebuild their Temple.
The prophet Isaiah wrote of him as an “anointed one.”
Pirro, on her weekend show, said, “Donald Trump recognized history, he like King Cyrus before him, fulfilled the biblical prophecy of the God worshiped by Jews, Christians and, yes, muslims, that Jerusalem is the eternal capital of the Jewish state and that the Jewish people finally deserve a righteous, free and sovereign Israel.”
This is a big move by Trump and one that this Fox star gave him a deserved incredible prophetic praise.
**** Judge Pirro is not entirely right, I will correct one thing she stated. muslims do NOT worship the God of Jews and Christians. allah is a pagan moon god, not the creator God, so muslims DO NOT worship the same God. ***

'Fox & Friends' Sends Direct Message to Trump.

 Source: The Wrap

“Fox & Friends” delivered a blunt message to President Donald Trump on Tuesday, warning him that internal leaks are coming from those who he trusts. “The president cannot trust his own staff,” said co-host Peter Doocy. “It’s just sad.”

The segment on the Fox News morning show broadly focused on a piece by Axios’ reporter Jonathan Swan that investigated the culture of leaking at the White House and why the leakers did it.

“One guy that was interviewed said he tries to put in different — you might say a certain idiom or you might say a certain phrasing —  he might put that in the leak so it looks like you did it and not me,” said fellow co-host Ainsley Earhardt.

The NY Daily News used to be a major newspaper, but went totally broke in recent years, lost almost all of its circulation and is now just a crazy, desperate for attention, fake news, National Enquirer-ish, hate filled tabloid. Look at today's sick headline:

NY Daily News Publishes an Awful Headline About Embassy Move

Despite the New York Daily News's narrative, Ivanka was not the only one celebrating the embassy move Monday.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Israeli officials are thanking the Trump administration for making good on their promise.

"President Trump, by recognizing history, you have made history," Netanyahu declared. "All of us are deeply moved. All of us are deeply grateful."

Israel's Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked called President Trump the "Churchill of the 21st Century."
