NY Daily News Publishes an Awful Headline About Embassy Move.

NY Daily News Publishes an Awful Headline About Embassy Move

The New York Daily News is known for being a bit tabloidy and not exactly a bastion of hard hitting news, and their latest headline is just shameful. Who let this go to print?

The nasty headline leaves out that Hamas helped orchestrate Monday's violent protests. The rioters stormed the Gaza-Israeli border, despite being warned, with firebombs and other explosive devices, so IDF confronted them with force of their own.

Over 50 individuals were killed and over 2,000 injured in the exchange.

Reports reveal that 10 of those killed were members of Hamas's internal security apparatus.

2)

The White House defended Israel's right to protect itself from terror activity.

That didn't stop nations like France and a group of U.S. Democratic lawmakers from condemning Israeli forces for confronting the Palestinian rioters, demanding they exercise more discretion.

Moving the embassy to Jerusalem is not a new concept. Congress passed the Jerusalem Embassy Act back in 1995, during bill clinton's presidency. clinton and his successors tried to enforce it, but not until Trump was the move actually enforced.

The president could not attend, so Ivanka and her husband Jared, who are Jewish, made the trip to celebrate the move and declare that Jerusalem is the rightful capital of Israel.

For the New York Daily News to blame Ivanka for the violence is "repulsive" and "sick," according to some pundits.

Democrats Come Through, Will Confirm Haspel as CIA Director.
5/15/18 Katie Pavlich
On Tuesday afternoon, Virginia Democrat Senator Mark Warner said he will vote to confirm Gina Haspel as the next CIA director. Warner is the leading Democrat on the Senate Intelligence Committee.
“Gina Haspel has served our country with dedication for 33 years. In many ways, her story is representative of the thousands of people at the Agency and throughout the intelligence community who serve quietly, without recognition, and often at great personal risk, in order to keep our nation safe from those who wish to do us harm," Warner released in a statement. "Over the last year I’ve had the opportunity to work with Ms. Haspel in her role as Deputy Director, and I have always found her to be professional and forthright with the Intelligence Committee. Most importantly, I believe she is someone who can and will stand up to the President if ordered to do something illegal or immoral – like a return to torture."
"In both our one-on-one meetings and in classified session before the Committee, I found Acting Director Haspel to be more forthcoming regarding her views on the interrogation program, which is why I asked her to memorialize those comments in writing. I also take to heart the strong support Ms. Haspel has among rank-and-file members of the intelligence community and from intelligence community leaders who served under resident obuma," he continued. “I’m going to support Gina Haspel’s nomination to be Director of the CIA.
I also respect my colleagues who have made a different decision. If she is confirmed, the Senate Intelligence Committee will continue to conduct thorough and vigorous oversight over the nation’s intelligence agencies.”
Warner's vote, combined with Democrats Heitkamp, Donnelly, Manchin, Jones and a number of Republican senators, will get Haspel enough votes to secure the nomination.
With McCain out, Paul a no on Haspel & Flake undecided, Haspel has a maximum of 49 yeas in the Senate.
But 4 Dems back her nomination: Warner, Heitkamp, Manchin & Donnelly. There should be no question that Haspel is confirmed. Cmte vote comes tomorrow.
Heitkamp to vote yea on Haspel: But this was not an easy decision. Ms. Haspel’s involvement in torture is deeply troubling, as..McCain, so eloquently reminded us.
Haspel explained, "the agency should not have employed such tactics &..assured me..it will not do so in the future."

Opinion: Why Jerusalem Matters.
5/16/18 Ben Shapiro
This week, the Trump administration inaugurated the new American embassy in Jerusalem.
The celebration in Israel was palpable; the embassy move came amidst the national celebration of the 70th anniversary of the creation of the state. The streets filled with Jews of all sorts, cheering and dancing.
Meanwhile, on the Gaza border, Hamas broadened its month long campaign to break down the Israel border, staging border "protests" attended by thousands -- including terrorists who have used the supposed protests as a staging point for violent attacks on Israeli troops and territory.
Palestinian terrorists have caused mass chaos, throwing Molotov cocktails at troops, attempting to rush the border, flinging explosives and tying incendiaries to kites in an attempt to set Israeli territory alight.
The Israeli Defense Forces have responded with restraint. Despite this, a few dozen Palestinians have been killed, not the hundreds or thousands Hamas would presumably prefer.
But even as Yahya Sinwar, leader of Hamas in Gaza, suggested that "more than 100,000 people could storm the fence" between Israel and Gaza, and as 23-year-old Mohammed Mansoura announced, "We are excited to storm and get inside ... to kill, throw stones," [the media covered the slow-rolling terror assault as a form of 'peaceful' protest.]
A New York Times headline read "Israeli Troops Kill Dozens of Palestinian Protesters."
A Wall Street Journal headline reads "Scores Killed, Thousands Injured as Palestinians Protest US Embassy Opening In Jerusalem."
Never mind that the riots had been going on for weeks preceding the embassy opening. Never mind that Hamas and the Palestinian Authority could quickly and permanently end all violence simply by stopping the violence. The real issue, according to the press, is President Trump and his Israeli friends.
What drives the leftist press's coverage? Simply put, antipathy to the West. Israel is seen as an outpost of colonialism by leftists, and has been since the 1967 war. Then-resident barry obuma expressed the view well in his 2009 speech in Cairo, suggesting that Israel's rationale relied on its "tragic history" that "culminated in an unprecedented Holocaust."
In this view, the Palestinians were shunted aside in favor of providing national reparations to Jews; the Jews took their Western ways into the heart of a foreign region.
This isn't true. The living proof of that is Israel's eternal connection to Jerusalem.
That's why both radical muslims (including the Palestinian leadership) and the far left deny Israel's historic bond with its homeland and hope desperately to stop public recognition of that bond.
If Israel exists because Jewish connection pre-existed everything else, then Israel isn't a new outpost of the West; it's the oldest center of the West. That's why Trump's announcement is important: It's a recognition that the West was founded on Jerusalem, rather than the other way around.
Peace will come when everyone recognizes what Trump has recognized:
The Jewish connection to Jerusalem is unbreakable. And peace will come when Israel's enemies realize that violence can't change that underlying fact.

Uh Oh: Did North Korea Threaten to Bail on Summit With President Trump?
05/15/18 Katie Pavlich
UPDATE: State Department spokeswoman Heather Nauert said the United States has received no official indication from North Korea about canceling the summit and plans to move forward as planned. She said the U.S. will not stop military exercises with South Korea and noted the exercise are normal, legal and planned well in advance.
***Original Post***
North Korea has threatened to cancel the upcoming summit between Dictator Kim Jong Un and President Donald Trump.
The summit is set for June 12 in Singapore, which President Trump officially announced last week. The threat comes after North Korea pulled out of a meeting with South Korea, citing joint military exercises with the U.S. with South Korea

Kim JongUn backing out on talks with South Korea comes soon after his meeting with China Xi Jinping. This can't be a coincidence.
Something else not a coincidence: Kim JongUn acting up when China trade negotiators in DC to talk to President DonaldTrump.
During an interview on Fox News Sunday over the weekend, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo previewed the summit and said the United States would offer economic aid to North Korea should the regime completely denuclearize.

Sports Team LOVES President Trump, Takes His Name.
05/15/2018 Source: TTN by: Donny Bomenabori
President Trump isn't just Making America Great Again, he's taken his show on the road to Israel, where Jerusalem's top-flight soccer team will now rename itself after him.
Beitar Jerusalem announced on Facebook it will now be known as Beitar Trump Jerusalem.
Fox News reports:
“Trump has shown courage, and true love of the Israeli people and their capital, and these days other countries are following his lead in giving Jerusalem its rightful status,” the team wrote on a Facebook post with an image of Trump between the Israeli and American flags.
“The chairmen of the club, the owner Eli Tabib and the executive manager Eli Ohana have decided to add to the club's title the name of the American President who made history, and from now on will be called Beitar Trump Jerusalem,” it added. “We have the greatest love for the President, and it will win!”
Beitar Jerusalem is currently in second place in Israel’s soccer league and has qualified for next season’s Europa League, an annual international tournament comprising of teams that finish in the upper echelon of European competition.
Despite the announced name change though, the county’s Football Association still has to approve it, and Beitar Jerusalem has not yet received permission to use Trump -- a registered trademark in Israel – as part of its identity, the Jerusalem Post reports."
President Trump is now enjoying immense popularity in Israel, and will also have a Jerusalem city square named in his honor.
Democrats like to insinuate that the president is anti-semitic, in spite of his great friendship with Israel and the fact that his daughter and son-in-law are Jewish. President Trump continues to make great strides in repairing the damage done by barry obuma and restoring American leadership throughout the world.

President Trump: “We must stand up for our police!”
5/15/18 By 1600 Staff
President Trump did not mince words towards the criminals that are endangering Americans and killing police officers:
We believe criminals who kill our police should get the death penalty — bring it forth, We must end the attacks on our police and we must end them right now.” he said.

The president called for the policy change with the backdrop of an event to honor fallen police officers, after recognizing several fallen officers and their families.

President Trump also called out sanctuary cities who flout federal law, saying “The first duty of government is to protect our citizens, and the men and women of DHS are on the front lines of this incredible, heroic fight. That is why we are calling on Congress to secure our borders, support our border agents, stop sanctuary cities, and shut down policies that release violent criminals back into our communities. We don’t want it any longer. We’ve had it. Enough is enough! ”

The president recognized NYPD Officer Miosotis Familia, the mother of three who was murdered in the Bronx last year. “Your moms and dads were among the bravest Americans to ever live. When danger came, when darkness fell, when distraction loomed, they did not flinch. They were not afraid. They did not falter, their immortal legacy lives on in each and every one of you. Today, every American heart bleeds blue.” he added.

Today is one of the most important and solemn occasions of the year – the day we pay tribute to the Law Enforcement Heroes who gave their lives in the line of duty. They made the ultimate sacrifice so that we could live in safety and peace. We stand with our police HEROES 100%!  President Trump

Glock Honors Veterans With Law Enforcement Discount.
  5/15/18 by Tom Knighton

Glock may be the most popular handgun maker in the world these days. As a result, they probably don’t need to do things to gin up excitement and spur sales all that often.

However, that makes Glock’s recent announcement all the sweeter.

May is Military Appreciation Month and we are proud to announce the Salute to Veterans GLOCK Discount Program. From Memorial Day to Labor Day, any honorably discharged, active or retired veteran is eligible to purchase one Blue Label pistol through our LE Distributors or Sub D Dealers. A copy of your DD 214 and drivers license can be used as credentials.

Glock’s discount for law enforcement tends to run between $75 and $100, depending on the model. This on a firearm that’s already pretty reasonably priced considering the quality.

The discount represents some pretty solid savings for those who have volunteered to put their lives on the line. As a veteran, I’ve never expected discounts on anything, but I’m sure as hell appreciative of each and every one I’ve ever received or even been offered. This one is no exception.

The fact that it also applies to one of the best firearms for their MSRP out there makes it a little better.

This doesn’t apply to all dealers. You need to go to one of Glock’s LE Distributors or Sub D Dealers. There’s only a handful of locations available to purchase these guns at. With the discount being offered, it might make sense for taking a road trip and picking up one of these bad boys. It’s my understanding that there’s a limit on how many pistols you can buy per year under the program, but, if you’ve got buddies who are veterans and want to take advantage of the discount.

I’d like to take a moment and thank Glock for recognizing the many veterans who have served this country with pride and distinction. I’m talking about the millions of others who served, many in the heat of Iraq or the temperature extremes of Afghanistan. Those deserve real credit and honor, and I’m glad to see them get it.

Will anyone else step up and match Glock’s generosity? Sig, H&K, Smith & Wesson, Ruger, or anyone else would do well to stand and offer a serious discount to veterans during the same period.

After all, the firearm industry loves the military and, by extension, veterans. Why not make this offer as well?

Otherwise, expect a whole lot of veterans to look to Glock for their next firearm purchase.

We wouldn’t want Glock to get all that publicity and goodwill, as well as all that cash from people who buy discounted firearms and then pay for extra magazines and other accessories, now would we?

Can’t blame a me for suggesting it.

In the meantime, good for Glock.
