How Many Illegal Aliens are in the US?
10/23/17 By Spencer Raley
As of 2017, FAIR estimates the number of illegal aliens in the US to be approximately 12.5 million.
There is no central database of illegal aliens. The Department of Homeland Security only counts those who enter and leave in a lawful manner.
Those who evade immigration authorities or sneak across the border are not counted.
Illegal aliens tend to lie when asked about their immigration status!
illegal aliens like to live near the United States’ border with Mexico, and in states that offer incentives for breaking American immigration law. The ten states with the largest estimated illegal alien populations account for just under three-fourths (73.7%) of the national total.

DHS doubles focus on businesses that hire illegal immigrants.

5/14/18  By Stephen Dinan - The Washington Times

Homeland Security has already more than doubled the number of businesses it’s scoured this year for breaking immigration hiring laws and nearly quadrupled the number of arrests it’s made, officials said Monday.

The surge comes months after U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement chief Thomas D. Homan ordered the renewed focus, looking to put pressure on the magnet that draws many illegal immigrants to the U.S.

A little more than seven months into fiscal year 2018 ICE reported 3,510 worksite investigations, 2,282 paperwork audits, 594 criminal arrests and 610 administrative arrests stemming from worksite enforcement.

Each is already a significant increase over 2017’s yearlong totals.

While much of the current debate in Washington focuses on the southwest border and a new increase in people attempting entry, analysts have long argued that the real action is in the interior of the U.S. where businesses are willing — and sometimes eager — to hire illegal immigrants, in violation of the law.

Those jobs end up serving as enticement for more people to make the journey, the analysts said.

But punishing businesses has been controversial — and oftentimes difficult, given companies’ political clout and the rules restricting what steps businesses are allowed to take to verify their employees’ work status.

Derek N. Benner, acting associate director for ICE’s Homeland Security Investigations division, said they’re focusing on “criminal prosecution of employers who knowingly break the law,” while the audits are meant as a nudge to push businesses to take hiring laws seriously.“Employers need to understand that the integrity of their employment records is just as important to the federal government as the integrity of their tax files and banking records,” Mr. Benner said. “All industries, regardless of size, location and type are expected to comply with the law.”

Illegal immigration is the illegal entry of a person or a group of persons across a country's border, in a way that violates the immigration laws of the destination country, with the intention to remain in the country.

Senators Light Fire Under McConnell: Make Congress Work Again!
05/11/18 Robert Donachie
A group of 16 Republican senators are sending Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell a serious message Friday:
"It is time to work full weeks, confirm the president’s nominees and stop wasting precious time" while Republicans hold both chambers of Congress and the White House.
Sen. David Perdue of Georgia is leading the charge, calling on McConnell to realize there are only 67 working days left in the 2018 fiscal year, which ends Sept. 30.
The coalition of Republican senators are urging McConnell to make the Senate work through Friday and on some weekends (senators typically go home to their districts on Thursday afternoon) and cancel the August recess — a request newer GOP senators and the president asked of leadership in 2017 in order to get action on repealing and replacing obumacare.
Action is exactly what Perdue and his colleagues want.
They want more time in session to confirm the president’s nominees.
They want more time in session to get must-pass appropriations bills out of committee and onto the Senate floor for a vote.
They are tired of the slow walking pace and don’t want to waste another day when they are in the majority.
Effectively, they want a change in the way the Senate is currently running, which they view as sluggish and increasingly subject to “obstruction” from Democrats.
The White House is on their side as well. White House legislative affairs director Marc Short told reporters at the Capitol Tuesday that the administration would support a delay in the August recess and more time in the Senate because it is their duty to the American people!
“If we reach August and we still have not completed appropriations work or not confirmed our nominees, then of course we would like to see the Congress stay here and do its work,” Short said. “It’s about getting the job done for voters across the country.”
The president urged members of Congress to delay the August recess in early July 2017. McConnell responded to President Donald Trump’s request with an announcement that he would shorten the recess by two weeks to give lawmakers ample time to come to an agreement on the best way to reform health care.
The delay in recess only lasted one week, but senators who requested it point to the fact that it helped the chamber confirm nearly 80 of the president’s nominees.
An open appropriations process is one of the key asks on the part the coalition of senators, after Congress passed a massive $1.3 trillion spending bill in March that upset many conservatives in Congress, who viewed it as a backdoor, last-minute deal Republican leadership struck with Democrats.
The president pledged he would “never sign another bill like this again!”
Read the text of the letter below:
Dear Leader McConnell,
We continue to witness historic obstruction by the minority party when it comes to funding the federal government and confirming the President’s nominees. If we are complicit, we are on track for another last-minute spending battle come September. However, if we take action now, we can break the cycle of continuing resolutions and omnibus spending deals. Therefore, we want to offer our full support to expedite floor consideration, even if we must work nights and weekends and forgo the August recess to get it done.
Looking ahead, there are only 67 working days left on the calendar this fiscal year. That number drops to 52 if you exclude Fridays, as we usually do. This leaves only 12 weeks to get 12 appropriations bills out of committee and consider them on the floor. That alone is an impossible task. When combined with the crucial need to confirm more nominees, it is clear we do not have enough time.
The Senate should immediately begin work on one or several consolidated appropriations bills, so they can be openly debated and amended accordingly. Our defense priorities are bipartisan, and they should come first. Similarly, we need to move quickly on executive and judicial nominations. At this pace, it is unlikely the President will have all of his nominees confirmed before the end of his term. Many of us encouraged cancelling August recess last year to meet our legislative goals. As a result, the Senate confirmed 77 nominations with no floor debate, a significant concession from the minority party. Our diligence was rewarded with reason, and it can happen again.
We stand ready to break through the confirmation backlog and get the government funded before we break in August, well before the September 30 deadline. We stand ready to work Mondays and Fridays, nights as well as weekends, to ensure the funding process is not used to jam the President with a bad spending deal. We, and the American people, expect Congress to work tirelessly to restore American greatness. The President has outlined an agenda that will unleash economic growth, strengthen our military, and rebuild our infrastructure. We play a critical role in advancing this agenda, so together let’s make Congress work again.
Sincerely,
1.Perdue 2.Ernst 3.Lankford 4.Cruz 5.Heller 6.Lee 7.Johnson 8.Cassidy
9.Wicker 10.Daines 11.Fischer 12.Sullivan 13.Sasse 14.Tillis 15.Kennedy 16.Rounds
The senators are not alone in the request. They have the backing of over 100 conservative groups and organizations.
Over 100 conservative leaders signed a pledge in late April to hold Republican leadership in Congress accountable for trillion-dollar backdoor deals and for weeks-long recesses while they still haven’t accomplished much of the president’s and conservatives’ policy agendas.
The pledge was sent to conservatives in the House, Senate and other groups involved in conservative politics. It has supporters agree and sign to the following points:
•Congress should delay August recess until government funding legislation has been openly debated in the House and Senate with a full opportunity for votes on amendments, and is approved by both houses and sent to the president.
•The Senate should delay August recess until sufficient progress has been made confirming the president’s nominees.
Conservatives who signed it include: former Sen. Jim DeMint of South Carolina, former Attorney General Edwin Meese, Chief Executive Office of American Legislative Exchange Council Lisa Nelson, President of the Senate Conservatives Fund Ken Cuccinelli and others.

Kaepernick's Hopes of Returning to the NFL Just Got Dimmer.

 05/11/18   by: David Hookstead

The Seattle Seahawks are reportedly no longer interested in bringing in Colin Kaepernick.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Wednesday night, “Colin Kaepernick and his attorneys took depositions in his collusion grievance from Seahawks’ HC Pete Carroll today and from GM John Schneider on Wednesday, per source.
Seahawks expressed interest in Kaepernick this off-season, but he no longer appears to be in their plans.”
The one team interested in signing Kaepernick no longer wants him after he deposes team leaders and continues to sue the NFL
The former San Francisco 49ers quarterback has nobody but himself to blame for being unsigned!
The Seahawks were willing to give him a fair shot if he agreed to stop kneeling, and he reportedly wouldn’t do it. **** STUPID IS, AS STUPID DOES! WONDER HOW MOOLA HE HA LOST? ***
Again, Kaepernick should look in the mirror if he’s looking for somebody to blame for not being on a team.

Ahead of U.S. Embassy Opening, Israel Doubles Number of Troops in Gaza, West Bank.

   5/13/18  by Deborah Danan

TEL AVIV – Ahead of the inauguration of the relocated U.S. embassy in Jerusalem on Monday, Israeli troops have been deployed to Gaza and the West Bank amid concerns of violent clashes with Palestinian protesters, the IDF said Saturday.

An extra two brigades are being deployed to the Gaza Strip and another in the West Bank.

Israeli officials have speculated that more than 100,000 Gazans will attempt to breach the border with Israel.

The army said they were expecting to contend with several dozen “terror kites” carrying petrol bombs flown over the border as well as gunfire aimed at soldiers and explosive devices planted at the border fence.

Hamas has called for “a million martyrs” to sacrifice their lives to reclaim the land.

We will place a million martyrs on this land until, God willing, we liberate it,” Mahmoud al-Zahar, a co-founder of Hamas, vowed this weekend. “We don’t care about [President] Donald Trump’s moves or the indifference of the Arab world.”

Hamas’s Gaza chief Yihya Sinwar also said last week that he expected hundreds of thousands of Gazans to breach the fence. Sinwar vowed that he and other senior Hamas officials were “ready to die” to end Israel’s hold over Gaza.

Recent days have seen two brush fires as a result of Gaza’s attack kites.

On Friday, Gazan rioters blew up the gas pipes supplying Gaza with fuel as well as electricity infrastructure and a conveyor belt used to transfer goods into the coastal enclave from the Kerem Shalom crossing, resulting in tens of millions of shekels of damage, the IDF said.

The IDF later blew up a terror tunnel in northern Gaza.

The weekend also saw two car-ramming attacks in the the West Bank, with a soldier lightly wounded in one of them.

Four firebombs were hurled at the road near the Etzion bloc outside of Jerusalem Saturday night, with no injuries reported.

On Sunday evening, Israel will celebrate Jerusalem Day, marking 51 years since the city was reunited. Monday sees the embassy opening, and Tuesday marks “Nakba” day – Arabic for the “catastrophe” of the establishment of the Jewish state. This year, Nakba day will also coincide with the start of the month of Ramadan, which usually sees a rise in clashes.

Israel Police have been laying the groundwork for security during the embassy move since the date was announced by the White House three months ago, police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said in a call with reporters.

According to Rosenfeld, over 1,000 police officers have been deployed in and around the Arnona neighborhood where the relocated embassy is set to be opened. Special patrol, border patrol and undercover units have fully coordinated with American security services to make sure the ceremony goes according to plan, he added.

Two demonstrations organized by Israeli-Arab Knesset members are scheduled to take place around the Old City in protest of the embassy opening, which have received police permits, Rosenfeld said.

“In terms of full coordination and in terms of full preparation we’ve taken every step necessary,” he added.

He stated that security measures are also in place for the rest of the week surrounding Nakba day and the upcoming first Friday of Ramadan during which thousands of Muslim and Palestinian worshipers are expected to ascend the Temple Mount.

“No doubt this is one of the most intensive weeks where security measures are concerned, both in terms of coordination and complex issues that can come up,” he concluded.

Netanyahu Welcomes U.S. Delegation to Jerusalem on Eve of Embassy Opening.

  5/13/18  by Joel B. Pollak

JERUSALEM, Israel — Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu welcomed the official U.S. delegation to Jerusalem Sunday evening, on the day before the transfer of the American embassy to Israel’s capital.

“Our people will be eternally grateful for President Trump’s decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and to move the American Embassy there tomorrow.,” Netanyahu declared.

“Tomorrow will be an historic day for our people and for our state.”

Netanyahu delivered his remarks at an official reception at Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs before an audience of American and Israeli guests. Among those in the audience were Israeli opposition leader Isaac Herzog; Christians United for Israel founder John Hagee, American lawyer Alan Dershowitz; new Republican National Committee finance chairman Todd Ricketts; Senators Lindsay Graham (R-SC), Ted Cruz (R-SC), Dean Heller (R-NV), and Mike Lee (R-UT); Rep. Ron DeSantis (R-FL), American Jewish Committee chair David Harris; Guatemalan Minister of Foreign Affairs Sandra Jovel Polanco; Zionist Organization of America president Morton Klein; former Israeli Ambassador to the U.S. Michael Oren; Republican donors Sheldon and Dr. Mirian Adelson; former Israeli Ambassador to the UN Dore Gold; U.S. Ambassador to Israel David Friedman; Israeli Ambassador to the U.S. Ron Dermer; and many others.

Netanya welcomed President Trump’s decision to recognize Jerusalem and transfer the embassy there:

“It’s been the capital of the Jewish people for the last 3,000 years. It’s been the capital of our state for 70 years. And it will be our capital for all time.,” he said.

He also thanked Guatemalan foreign minister Polanco for her country’s decision to open its embassy in Jerusalem two days after the U.S. And he thanked the President of Paraguay, who is expected in Jerusalem later this month to open his country’s embassy as well.

“I call on all countries to join the US in moving their embassies to Jerusalem… because it’s the right thing to do… because it advances peace!” he exclaimed.

“Under any peace agreement you could possibly imagine, Jerusalem will remain Israel’s capital.

“It took President Trump to enunciate a simple basic truth,” he said.

Netanyahu added that peace meant confronting “the enemies of truth.

And I thank president Trump for his decision to confront Iran rather than to appease it.

“ With all due respect to those sitting in European capitals… we’ve seen the disastrous consequences of the Iran deal.,” he said. He praised President Trump’s decision to leave the deal — “a good thing for the region, for the United States, and for the world.”

Netanyahu gave a special welcome to White House advisers Jared Kushner and his wife, Ivanka. He was sure to note Israel’s victory in the Eurovision song contest the night before, which coincided with the day’s celebration of Yom Yerushalayim (“Jerusalem Day”), the 51st anniversary of the reunification of the city in the Six Day War.

“Happy birthday Jerusalem!” he said.

He presented U.S. Ambassador Friedman with an official letter thanking him for his role in moving the embassy.

Deputy Secretary of State John J. Sullivan, official head of the U.S. delegation, thanked Netanyahu for his hospitality.

He noted that May 14, the date of the embassy opening, was the anniversary of President Harry S. Truman’s decision to recognize Israel.

The U.S. hopes the embassy move would encourage peace talks between Israel and its neighbors.

**** No pay raises until they actually get work done in the interests of Americans!

With all the GOP RINO elites and leftist Dem's, there will be no breaks and raises!

  Vote 'em out 2018.

How many jobs are there in America where you don't do your job, but vote yourself a big pay increase?

The congress' constituents should vote for their raises. They should get the same healthcare they stuck us with too. If you really want the swamp cleared, rep's should stay in their districts and we need term limits as well. *** Bull

Donald Trump: Senate Should Not Get August Break if They Fail to Get Work Done!

 5/13/18  by: Charlie Spiering

President Donald Trump endorsed the idea that the Senate should not get an August break if they failed to move a funding bill foward.

The Senate should get funding done before the August break, or NOT GO HOME,” Trump wrote on Twitter on Saturday.

Congress faces a deadline at the end of September to pass another funding bill. Congress either has to pass major legislation or rely on a continuing resolution to push the funding battle pass the election.

President Trump signaled that he wanted full funding for his budget priorities and approval of his nominees. “Wall and Border Security should be included,” he wrote. “Also waiting for approval of almost 300 nominations, worst in history. Democrats are doing everything possible to obstruct, all they know how to do. STAY!”

A growing number of conservative members of congress are making the same pitch to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.

“If Congress hasn’t passed a budget and regular appropriations bills by August, they shouldn’t be able to go on vacation,” said Sen. Joni Ernst in a Joint Select Committee hearing on Budget and Appropriations Process Reform.

Libs Offended By Message to Democrats Who Want Trump Gone.
5/10/18 Source: TheBlaze by: Aaron Colen
Some residents in Calvert County, Maryland, are offended by a pro-Trump billboard owned by a local man, and police have asked him to take it down, the Baltimore Sun reported.
“There’s two groups that are offended,” Calvert County Police Capt. Dave Payne said.
“We’ve received messages that say it’s offensive that it’s up ----
and it’s offensive that he’s being pressured to take it down.
We can’t win. We’re in the middle.”
