Shooting sports are a terrific reminder of our constitutional liberty and the attendant benefits that accrue to a free people: active friendship within families, between peers, and among communities, and the opportunity for Americans living in small towns and large cities to experience the bounty of America’s great outdoors.

Shooting sports help reinforce many of the bedrock values of our people, such as the free exercise of the Second Amendment. Mastery of shooting sports requires rigor, discipline, and training. State and local shooting sports programs—and instruction by trained family members and mentors—affirm the role of local communities as the primary teacher of the rule of law and personal responsibility.

This month, we recognize the sportsmen and hunters who practice and teach firearm safety and exercise proper stewardship of our land. Sportsmen and hunters not only help others to understand the responsibilities of owning and using a firearm, but they also ensure that our open space and natural resources are safeguarded.

Under existing Federal law, for example, a portion of Federal excise tax on the sale of firearms and ammunition is dedicated to American wildlife research and habitat conservation.

That is one reason why my Administration has prioritized making it easier for Americans to participate in shooting sports on public lands. By doing so, we are enhancing Americans’ ability to experience the unsurpassed beauty of our blessed Nation and we are better protecting our national treasures for future generations.

I encourage all Americans engaged in shooting sports to continue promoting a culture of safety and to continue exercising the responsibility and duty associated with the right to keep and bear arms.

Abdul El-Sayed is a Democrat Socialist gubernatorial candidate in Michigan. Although El-Sayed is currently third in the polls, the Democrats and their activists, including linda sarsour, bernie sanders, and alexandria ocasio-cortez have been vigorously campaigning for him.

On 7/1/17, linda sarsour gave a speech at the 54th Annual Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) Convention in Chicago. During that speech, sarsour not only infamously called for muslims to carry out Jihad against President Trump, but she also used her speech as an opportunity to introduce Abdul El-Sayed to more muslim organizations in an attempt to help Abdul fundraise for his gubernatorial campaign. While giving her speech, sarsour called on the muslims in attendance to support Abdul El-Sayed.

“When I think about building power, I think about brothers like Abdul El-Sayed who is in this room today, who is running to be the first muslim Governor of the Sate of Michigan. Sisters and brothers, he’s a wonderful brother. He’s an inspiring brother, and he is well qualified to be the next Governor of Michigan, but he can’t do that without you. That brother needs your money,” sarsour said.

After endorsing El-Sayed on stage at the ISNA Conference, sarsour, during the same speech took several minutes to praise Imam Siraj Wahhaj, who is a terrorist co-conspirator in the 1993 World Trade Center Bombing, calling him her “mentor” and “favorite person”.

“And to my favorite person in this room, that’s mutual, is Imam Siraj Wahhaj, who has been a mentor, motivator, and encourager of mine. Someone who has taught me to speak truth to power, and not worry about the consequences. Someone who has taught me that we are on this Earth to please Allah and only Allah, and that we are not here to please any man or woman on this earth.” sarsour said. “So I am grateful to you Imam Siraj, and you might think this is weird, but every once in a while, when I get into that deep dark place, Imam Siraj comes and talks to me. And he helps me to emerge out of those places, so I’m grateful to you Imam Siraj, and may Allah bless you and protect you for a long time for our community, because we need you now more than ever.”

Not only is Siraj a well-known terrorist who tried to blow up the World Trade Center in 1993, but he often calls for the killing of innocents in the name of islam. Siraj once said, “If Allah says 100 strikes, 100 strikes it is. If Allah says cut off their hand, you cut off their hand. If Allah says stone them to death, through the Prophet Muhammad, then you stone them to death, because it’s the obedience of Allah and his messenger—nothing personal.”

“Nothing personal.” That is what Siraj, sarsour’s “mentor” and “favorite person” had to say about Islamic terrorism. According to Siraj, it’s ok to stone people to death and chop people’s hands off, if Allah commands it.

Even more concerning, Siraj is also known for saying, “It is my duty and our duty as muslims to replace the U.S. Constitution with the quran.”

While fully aware that Siraj is a terrorist co-conspirator, a proponent of islamic terror, and a supporter of destroying and replacing the U.S. Constitution with sharia Law, sarsour still proclaimed Siraj as her mentor and called on him to support Abdul El-Sayed’s campaign for Michigan Governor.

As stated by sarsour during her speech, El-Sayed was in attendance at the ISNA conference and was in the audience when sarsour gave her speech and praised Siraj. However, El-Sayed never denounced Siraj and eagerly held fundraisers at the ISNA conference, despite the fact that ISNA itself was found to have ties to terrorism during the Holy Land Trial.

Picture this: two people are having a fundraiser at an ISIS, al- Qaeda, NAZI, Skinhead, Communist event and praising Al-Baghdadi, Osama Bin Laden, Adolf Hitler, Stalin.

Now, you would say that regardless of whom they are, what religion they are following, or what political party they are representing, that those two people are very bad people!

If you take it one step further and look at who is sponsoring the fundraiser, it is safe to say that the hosting organization is also bad, since it is common knowledge that terrorism itself is very bad.

       A good person NEVER associates with terrorists!!

Fortunately, there is an adjudicated and peer reviewed document that was created during the largest terrorism financing trial ever conducted in the United States, known as the The Holy Land Foundation trial. During this trial a federal judge declared,

“The Government has produced ample evidence establishing the associations of CAIR, ISNA, and NAIT with the HLF, IAP, and with Hamas.”

This conclusion was then appealed before the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals where it was determined once again, “The Government has produced ample evidence establishing the associations of CAIR, ISNA, and NAIT with the HLF, IAP, and with Hamas.”

To reiterate that again, federal prosecutors, two separate Federal Judges, and the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals all agreed that there is enough evidence to establish Islamic terrorist associations with CAIR and ISNA, both of whom are involved with El-Sayed’s campaign.

Assuming that US District Court Judge Jorge Solis, US District Court Judge Marcia Crone, 5th Circuit Court of Appeals Judges Benavides and Emilio Garza and the federal prosecutors are not all “racist islamophobes”, we can safely say that ISNA (Islamic Society of North America) is a terrorist front group for HAMAS, which itself is a designated terrorist organization as stated by the U.S. State Department.

What does this mean? It means that anyone sponsoring or attending a fundraiser at an ISNA sponsored event is working with a terrorist front group for HAMAS, which means by default, anyone sponsoring or attending a fundraiser at an ISNA sponsored are supporting international terrorism.

Similarly, anyone holding a fundraiser at a NAZI sponsored and openly advertised Nazi event would be pro-NAZI.

Let’s take a look at the facts and determine whether or not linda sarsour and Abdul El- Syed are supporting islamic terrorists.

linda sarsour was a featured speaker at the 54th Annual Convention of the islamic Society of North America (ISNA – a terrorist front organization for HAMAS). During her speech, she said Siraj Wihhaj is one of her idols and described him as her “favorite person, mentor, motivator, and encourager”.

sarsour also said she hears his voice inside her head under times of stress. However, during her speech, sarsour made no mention of Siraj Wahhaj’s numerous ties to islamic terrorism.

Siraj Wihhaj’s ties to islamic Terrorism are well documented in a dossier published by “Discover The Networks”.

Shortly after the 1993 World Trade Center bombing, the U.S. State Department designated Sudan, which had become a safe-haven for Osama bin Laden and al Qaeda, as a state sponsor of terrorism. In response to that designation, Wahhaj said defiantly:

“May Allah bless Sudan … these are people who want to establish the Shari’ah, establish quran, and sunnah, they want to establish the religion and therefore hated by the government of the USA…. I’m not going to make you comfortable because our book, the book we believe in, is not Dale Carnegie’s, How to Win Friends and Influence People; But it’s the quran.”

In 1995, U.S. Attorney Mary Jo White named Wahhaj as a possible co-conspirator in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing.

Given this indisputable evidence, there is no denying the fact that linda sarsour and Abdul El- Sayed are radicalized individuals who pose a serious terror threat to America. Not only are they personal friends, but they are campaigning together throughout Michigan and held a fundraiser for El-Sayed at the ISNA conference the same day they praised the accomplishments of Imam Siraj, a well-known terrorist.

Despite knowing all of this, and despite being in attendance at the ISNA conference and in the audience while sarsour gave her speech, El-Sayed has not distanced himself from sarsour or Imam Siraj.

Currently, sarsour is serving as El-Sayed’s de-facto campaign manager. She has been seen at numerous socialist campaign events across the country where she, alongside other Democrat Party surrogates have been encouraging Democrat Socialists to vote for El-Sayed so that he can become the first Muslim Governor of Michigan.

Along with sarsour, failed Presidential candidate bernie sanders, and self proclaimed socialist alexandria ocasio-cortez are also campaigning in Michigan and across the country for El-Sayed.

Speaking about his time as a "white supremacist leader," skinhead turned peace activist Christian Picciolini explained how his group "sought marginalized youth and promised them 'paradise.'"
Answering readers' questions on Reddit, the online forum, Picciolini made it clear that this is still happening today, through "nefarious tactics like going to depression and mental health forums, and into multiplayer gaming, to recruit those same people."
"They drop benign hints and then ramp up when hooked," he explained. In some games these hints can start by talking about how some in-game races are superior to others, for example, and move on from there to drawing real-world parallels.
When asked what games these groups used, Picciolini said "Fortnite, Minecraft, COD, all of them."

The neo-Nazis involved in the recruitment process are mostly from foreign countries and, ironically, commonly found in Russia and Eastern Europe – which suffered the worst atrocities at the hands of Hitler's Germany.

Antifa is known for its history of violence.

For example, it was Antifa that attacked a peaceful protest by right-wing activists in Berkeley last year. During that event, Antifa threw M80 firecrackers inside of glass bottles, trying to turn them into makeshift grenades. They also threw rocks, used clubs, and other various weapons in their assaults.
That was the same time a Berkeley professor reportedly used a bike lock to assault someone for having the temerity to disagree with him.
More recently, a march in Portland earlier this year turned violent after Antifa clashed with members of Patriot Prayer.
Antifa isn’t a peaceful organization! They clash with their ideological opponents. They’re an extremist group that actively seeks confrontation in the form of violence. They openly defend the use of violence on the grounds that it’s the other side who is really violent.
If anyone should leave their guns at home, it's unhinged liberals who don't know the first thing about firearms – and who want to start fights with anyone who dares to politically oppose them.

zephyr teachout, who is running as a Democrat, said ICE has “become a tool of fear and illegality” in a video for Now This News where the Fordham University law professor stressed her support for abolishing the agency.
“As attorney general, I will continue to speak out against ICE. I will prosecute ICE for their criminal acts,” Teachout said. “We have stories of consistent abuse within ICE.”

Wright-Patterson Air Force Base is on lockdown due to an ongoing active shooter situation reported at the base's hospital approximately 30 minutes ago.
An emergency notification sent to base personnel said first responders were on site and asked everyone to take cover.
At approximately 12:40 p.m., base emergency responders (security forces, fire department) responded to a reported Active Shooter incident at the base hospital.
Base personnel have been directed to shelter in place until the incident is investigated. Wright-Patterson AFB 8/2/18
WCPO Cincinnati reports:
All gates at the base are closed.
The newspaper reports emergency dispatch traffic indicated someone may be barricaded inside the medical center.
Besides local law enforcement, the FBI is reportedly on scene.

alexandria ocasio-cortez, the insurgent democratic socialists who beat top House Democrat Joe Crowley in a primary, is off to a great start in her career in public life, and as the new face of the Democratic Party. She’sbrain-dead on economicsand the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. On her socioeconomic agenda, well, she doesn’t know how to pay for it. She doesn’t even know how much we spend on the military, so you can she has a grasp of the books; the military is one of the big-ticket items in our budget. So, given that, you think she has a clue about the complex and ultimately ruinous tax structure that will need to be implemented to pay for her socialist goodie bag—all of which does not have a chance in hell in passing Congress. Hell no! Yet, she first stepped on a rake discussing the Israeli-Palestinian conflict on PBS’ Firing Line last month, where she criticized Israel before admitting that she doesn’t know what she’s talking about.
Oh, it gets better. That interview was on 7/13, where ocasio-cortez voiced support for a two-state solution. Then three days later, she altered course. I wonder why:
on PBS' "Firing Line" Friday, ocasio-cortez gave a more nuanced answer when asked her views on the Jewish state. "Well, I believe absolutely in Israel’s right to exist. I am a proponent of a two-state solution. And for me, it’s not — this is not a referendum on the state of Israel," she said.
ocasio-cortez walked back her use of the terms "massacre" and "occupation." "I am not the expert on geopolitics on this issue," she laughed. "I am a firm believer in finding a two-state solution on this issue, and I'm happy to sit down with leaders on both of these…"
But when ocasio-cortez interviewed with the left-wing Democracy Now! she was singing a different tune, now declining to say she supported the two-state solution.
"Are you still for a two-state solution with Israel and Palestine?" asked host Amy Goodman.
"You know, I think this is a conversation that I'm engaging with activists right now," she responded. "Because this is a huge– especially over this weekend. This is a conversation that I'm sitting down with lots of activists in this movement on, and I'm looking forward to engaging in this conversation."
When you hang around activists like linda sarsour, you’ll probably change course on this issue. sarsour is pro-Palestine and immensely controversial, but is this a shocker, though concerning cortez’s changed position on Israel? The far left hates Israel. They think it’s a terrorist state. It’s prime territory for anti-Semites to fester.
For sarsour, she’s anti-Zionist and believes that supporters of Israel cannot be feminists:
sarsour, who is of Palestinian descent, has also been a harsh critic of Israel. Soon after the Women’s March, she drew fire from Jewish leaders for telling The Nation that unabashed supporters of Israel cannot be feminists.
“It just doesn’t make any sense for someone to say, ‘Is there room for people who support the state of Israel and do not criticize it in the movement?’ There can’t be in feminism,” she told the magazine in March. “You either stand up for the rights of all women, including Palestinians, or none.”
sarsour backs the movement to boycott, divest from and sanction Israel, known as BDS. She told NY1 that she supports a one-state solution that would create a shared country for Jews and Palestinians — a solution that many Jews consider a formula for the demise of Israel. And in 2012, she tweeted “Nothing is creepier than Zionism.”
And yes, 'BDS' is an anti-Semitic movement. Yet, the irony is that while this side of the Israel-Palestinian issue is aligned with hard-core progressivism, the conference that sarsour and ocasio-cortez headlined on July 29 at The Universal muslim Association of America was not.
Mary Chastain of Legal Insurrection noted how many on social media noted how the conference segregated men and women, among other things. Chastain included two stories that showed how sarsour and ocasio-cortez seem to be made for one another.
cortez’s extended remarks on Firing Line (via Times of Israel):
On “Firing Line,” host Margaret Hoover asked ocasio-cortez “What is your position on Israel?”
ocasio-cortez responded, “I believe absolutely in Israel’s right to exist.” She added: “I am a proponent of a two-state solution.”
The candidate said her previous position on the Gaza clashes “is not a referendum on the State of Israel.”
“The lens through which I saw this incident, as an activist, as an organizer – if 60 people were killed in Ferguson, Missouri, if 60 people were killed in the South Bronx, unarmed, if 60 people were killed in Puerto Rico – I just look at that Gaza incident more through just, as an incident, and to me, it would just be completely unacceptable if that happened on our shores,” she said.
“Of course the dynamics there, in terms of geopolitics … is very different than people expressing their First Amendment right to protest,” Hoover replied.
In 2017, sarsour embraced a terrorist, Rasmea Odeh, at her goodbye gala before she was deported for immigration fraud. She hid her conviction and prison term for blowing up market in Jerusalem that killed two people:
On August 12, 2017, a farewell gala event honoring Rasmea Odeh was held in Chicago by a coalition of anti-Israel groups, and attended by several hundred people.
This coming Thursday, August 17, 2017, Rasmea will be sentenced in federal court in Detroit after a guilty plea to immigration fraud. By her plea agreement, Rasmea will be deported and will lose her U.S. citizenship, but will not serve any further jail time.
Rasmea’s immigration plea resulted from her lies on immigration and naturalization forms in which she concealed a prior conviction and prison term for a 1969 supermarket bombing in Jerusalem that killed two Hebrew University students, Edward Joffe and Leon Kanner.
Rasmea also concealed her conviction for the attempted bombing of the British Consulate that same year.
In the introduction of Rasmea, Hatem Abudayyeh of the Rasmea Defense Committee and Arab American Action Network held out Rasmea as “an example to all of us, the absolute personification of our struggle, the worldwide struggle for the liberation of all of historical Palestine.”
When they say the liberation of “all of Palestine,” they mean Israel. That’s why the common BDS chant, “From the River to the Sea, Palestine will be Free” is a call for the destruction of Israel, not an end to the “occupation.”
Rasmea repeated that call: “We are winning this battle with the Zionists, you are winning this battle and we will never stop organizing until all of Palestine is free.”
sarsour has blamed the “Jewish media” for how she’s perceived. Yeah, ocasio-cortez sure knows how to pick them!

Man Charged With Murdering Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry Extradited to U.S. From Mexico.

Mexican national Heraclio Osorio-Arellanes, who has been charged with the first-degree murder of Border Patrol agent Brian Terry, was extradited to the United States Tuesday night for prosecution by the Department of Justice.
Osario-Arellanes was arrested by Mexican authorities in April 2017.
“The Department of Justice is pleased that the suspected killer of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry has been successfully extradited to the United States and will now face justice for this terrible crime,” said Attorney General Jeff Sessions. “We are grateful for the efforts of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, U.S. Marshals Service and U.S. Customs and Border Protection as well as our law enforcement partners in Mexico.
To anyone who would take the life of an American citizen, in particular an American law enforcement officer, this action sends a clear message:
"Working closely with our international partners, we will hunt you down, we will find you, and we will bring you to justice!”
Agent Terry's sister, Kelly Terry-Willis, posted about the news on Facebook.
Agent Terry was murdered on December 14, 2010 patrolling Rico Valley, Arizona. While Osorio-Arellanes is suspected of pulling the
trigger, six other men have also been charged with his death. Three have pleaded guilty and two were convicted by a jury.
Jesus Rosario Favela Astorga, who has been charged, is waiting to be prosecuted.
According to DOJ, "the indictment charges the defendants with first-degree murder, second-degree murder, conspiracy to interfere with commerce by robbery, attempted interference with commerce by robbery, use and carrying a firearm during a crime of violence and assault on a federal officer."
The men are also being charged with assaulting Border Patrol Agents William Castano, Gabriel Fragoza and Timothy Keller, who came under fire with Terry the night he was killed.
The men were part of a 'rip crew' and used weapons to kill Terry that were purposely trafficked by the sorry assed obuma Justice Department to Mexican drug cartels through Operation Fast and Furious.
“The arrest and extradition of Osorio-Arellanes reflects the steadfast commitment and tireless work of the United States and our law enforcement partners in Mexico, who shared the common goal of seeking justice for the murder of Agent Brian Terry,” U.S. Attorney Adam Braverman said. “When an agent makes the ultimate sacrifice while serving his country, we must hold all the individuals who played a part in this tragic outcome accountable for their actions!
This extradition moves that important goal forward.”
Osario-Arellanes will be arraigned in U.S. District Court in Tucson, Arizona, Wednesday afternoon.

It was reported this week that White House Chief of Staff John Kelly would be staying in his role up at least until about 2020. At the president’s request and Kelly’s acceptance, Kelly would NOT be leaving this summer as some initially speculated.
Rather he would be staying to continue to advise the president and the administration as he has done since his appointment in July of last year.
While the president’s administration is regularly subject to unfounded speculation and rumors, much of it later proved to be false, it appears this information has been confirmed by enough trustworthy sources to be believed.
Undoubtedly this is excellent news as Kelly’s keen knowledge, valorous character, and experienced management ability has superbly served the president very well this past year! With Kelly as perhaps the president’s closest advisor and enforcer, the administration has been able to achieve numerous coordinated policy priorities ranging from tax reform to foreign summits, from the complex trade concessions to managing various crises at and within our borders.
When you look at Kelly’s background these impressive results should come as no surprise given that he, prior to several months as the president’s Secretary of Homeland Security and a brief foray in the private sector, had served our nation in the Marine Corps for over four decades and achieving the rank of a 4-Star General as well as Commander of the U.S. Southern Command!
Personally I believe we need more military members in public service and our national discourse in general. This is particularly so as we see an unfortunate decline in military-civilian relations and a consequent coarsening of our discourse where dishonor and lack of civility and candor seemingly has become more common.
We saw this prominently last fall when Kelly’s character was degraded on national news by those who have never lifted a finger for this country, let alone contributed, fought, or sacrificed even a smidgen of what Kelly, who lost his son, 1st Lt. Robert Kelly, in combat in Afghanistan in 2010, had given!
That Kelly has stood firm amid the constant firestorm of controversy and deranged hate from President Trump’s opponents is inspiring to all those who wish to see integrity, honor, sacrifice, and valor restored once again to our public discourse.
By all measures therefore Kelly’s tenure has been a success in both the tangible policy results achieved by and for the president as well as the hope he gives that people of good and strong character, those who work for and fight for this country, can have a place in our media and policy discourse as well.
In looking at the broader picture there unfortunately remains only so much one man can do. As much as our country and its people are leading inspiring lives, caring for one another, and continuing to sow the fabric of the American story, it is clear that the hate directed against the president and all those remotely supportive of those associated with him has revealed a dark underbelly within our public discourse.
We see this every day as lunatics throw water on or harass pro-Trump media personalities and public officials at restaurants or when a UGA Dean was recently made by the social media mob to apologize after saying, politics aside, he found Georgia GOP Gubernatorial nominee Brian Kemp to be a “nice guy” from knowing him from childhood.
John Kelly is a man worth, monetarily, an estimated $4 million based on financial disclosures. His paltry-in-comparison $179,700 salary reminds us of how he, and many others currently serving in the Trump administration, really have given up a lot personally to stand their ground, subject themselves to the fervor of those suffering from Trump Derangement Syndrome, and do their part in bringing our country back on track and expanding opportunity for the American people.
Spiritually, John Kelly is worth far more than a raw summation of his current resources in United States currency. His place in the White House both in terms of his day-to-day work and his public profile is immensely essential to the public’s belief and trust in our institutions and that the decay of the years prior is slowly being reversed.
I can’t imagine what it’s like being Kelly, who has literally fought and sacrificed more for this country over the course of his life than many can imagine!
He is now subject to regular degradation by those barely a thousandth, if that, the man he is.
His sacrifice both before and now should be respected and I for one couldn’t be happier that he will continue to remain by the president’s side as the administration continues to craft policies that increase our liberty, prosperity, and hope!

One might expect that the sheer volume of vitriol, hatred and “resistance” coming from the media, Hollywood elites, establishment Republicans, and various other “never-Trumpers,” would be in response to the most unfit and dangerous President we’ve ever had. Some from the aforementioned groups are probably nodding their heads in agreement already.

You would think we had a President who has exhibited open hostility to our country; who has actively worked to diminish our standing in the world, or who has tried to fundamentally change our country into a globalist, socialist state which would no longer resemble anything our Founders ever intended.

Maybe that hysteria would be warranted if we had a President who sent boatloads of cash to a foreign power that publicly vowed to destroy us with nuclear weapons; or whose administration gave 20% of our uranium to Russia (yes, Russia) for a quick political payoff.

Such hatred might be justified if we had a President who allowed the leaking of highly-classified information to other countries who are openly hostile to us, like China; or who didn’t bother to lift a finger to save our US Ambassador and three others who were savagely murdered in Libya; or who abused the power of his office to spy on and punish his political opponents. Those might be justifiable reasons for their “righteous” anger and indignation.

Some would argue that we had just such a leader in the previous administration who, despite rhetoric to the contrary, delivered exactly those results and more. Yet, there was barely a whimper from this cadre of resistors. They protected him, covered up his bungles and betrayals and more often ignored them completely.

Now, with President Donald Trump, calls for impeachment are commonplace. We have yet to see any limit to their outrage.

Along with that has come a curious, and to some, welcome honesty about the ideology that is supported by the current Democrat Party. They are avowed socialists and have finally begun to admit it. Gone are the covert buzzwords and camouflaged slogans like: “income inequality” and “You didn’t build that!"

Part of their irrational hostility to Trump is precisely because he is pro-American and an unapologetic capitalist. That stance demands secure borders, requires peace through strength, and must nurture capitalism and industry. The supposedly non-ideological Trump has furthered that agenda with clear conviction. When we have returned to our ideological roots of less government and more freedom, prosperity has been the predictable result.

Our side has been asleep at the wheel for decades in educating the next generation about the horrific history of socialism. In fact, we know that in many classrooms, socialism has been openly promoted. Such ignorance and indoctrination has never been more on display than it is right now.

The division of Germany after World War II is one of the best practical comparisons between these disparate ideologies. The almost 30-year contest between socialism and capitalism brought results that were dramatic and indisputable. The Communist-controlled socialism of East Germany brought poverty, despair and 'a wall' to keep people in against their will. Capitalism brought the exact opposite.
Today, Trump has handed us another opportunity to compare these ideologies in modern-day and practical terms. Once again, the results are incontrovertible.

Our growing prosperity is putting our stable of Never-Trumpers in a tough spot. Even the most disengaged and uninformed citizens would laugh at the notion that the last administration deserves the credit for this. Openly hoping for war and poverty rather than peace and prosperity under Trump isn’t a particularly winning message, especially in an election year—though some have actually done so like Bill Maher. About the only strategy left is to ignore, downplay, or simply refuse to report all the good news and hope Americans will hardly notice. Color me skeptical, but I don’t think that’s going to work either.

Donald Trump is dragging us kicking and screaming into peace and prosperity. Never has such success been so unwelcome by so many. For the sake of generations to come, and as he continues to succeed, it will be just as important for roughly half of us to educate the other half about how and why it worked.
