O’KEEFE STRIKES AGAIN: Undercover Video Purports to Show Hillary Campaign Violating Election Law

An undercover video published Thursday by James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas purports to show Nevada-based Hillary Clinton campaign staffers and volunteers ignoring and knowingly violating Nevada’s voter registration laws. Moreover, the video appears to show that this conduct is being condoned and encouraged by a local attorney who works for the Clinton campaign.

According to the video, it is a felony in the state of Nevada for anyone involved in the voter registration process to “solicit a vote for or against a particular question or candidate; speak to a voter on the subject of marking his or her ballot for or against a particular question or candidate.”  

The video appears to show that numerous Hillary Clinton campaign staffers are well aware of the law. Nevertheless, the video shows them laughing at the law and repeatedly bragging about violating it by promoting Hillary Clinton verbally and with campaign literature as they attempt to register potential voters. 

The Project Veritas video further appears to show that the Clinton campaign staff solicits voter registration in close proximity to state offices, which may also violate Nevada law

According to the video, when the attorney in question, identified as Christina Gupana, was told about this alleged lawbreaking, she advised the staffers to, “Do whatever you can. Whatever you can get away with, just do it, until you get kicked out like totally.”

More than one staffer says that the campaign’s motto towards these laws is “Ask for forgiveness, not for permission.”

This does not surprise me, Clinton is a criminal and employs criminals. I am impressed with Okeefe. He is great at what he does.

Walker falls to 10th in Iowa in latest poll

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker's support in Iowa continues its free fall as Donald Trump and Ben Carson remain ahead of the Republican pack by double digits, according to a new Quinnipiac University poll. 

Walker, the former front-runner, tumbles to 10th place in the GOP presidential pack just two months after taking the top spot in the university’s July poll. Then, he had 18 percent support, compared to just 3 in the new poll.

As governor of a neighboring state, Walker had long been thought to be the presumptive leader in Iowa. But his support has steadily dropped since Trump entered the race in late June. 

The new numbers underscore the slide that Walker has seen across the board. He has dropped below Carly Fiorina for fifth place in the five most recent Iowa polls, just a hair above former Gov. Jeb Bush (Fla.). He’s in seventh place nationally and in the second presidential nominating state of New Hampshire. 

In the latest Quinnipiac poll, Walker was only ahead of Gov. Bobby Jindal (La.), who received 2 percent support; Gov. Chris Christie (N.J.), Sen. Lindsey Graham (S.C.), former Gov. Rick Perry (Texas), and former Sen. Rick Santorum (Penn.), all of whom received 1 percent support, and former Gov. Jim Gilmore (Va.) and former Gov. George Pataki (N.Y.), who did not register in the poll. 

By contrast, outsiders Trump and Carson continue to have a dominant hold on the polls. Trump showed 27 percent support, while Carson received 21 percent, well ahead of Sen. Ted Cruz (Texas), who received 9 percent support.

If Trump was not in the race, Carson is the second choice of a vast plurality of Trump voters, with 30 percent backing him. Cruz is the second choice of 11 percent of Trump voters.

“The Iowa Republican Caucus looks like a two-man race in which the Washington experience that has traditionally been a major measuring stick that voters have used to choose candidates is now a big negative,” said Peter A. Brown, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Poll. 

“With five months until the balloting, anything can happen. But the field has become a two-tiered contest – Donald Trump and Ben Carson ahead and everyone else far behind,” he said. 

Carson tops the field in support from white, born-again Evangelical voters, very conservative voters, and female voters. Trump wins with Tea Party, male, and younger voters, and trails Carson by just one point with females despite his controversial comments about women. 

While Trump cleans up with an 11-percentage point lead with voters with no college degree, he finishes just three points behind Carson for the lead with college-educated voters. 

Carson has an overwhelming lead in net favorability, almost 20 percentage points higher than Fiorina, who place second. Despite the slide, Walker still holds the fourth highest net favorability rating in the state, behind Rubio Fiorina, and Carson. 

Bush and Christie are the only candidates who will be on the main stage at the second GOP debate next week who have negative net favorability scores. 

The field has an overwhelming preference for outsider candidates, as 79 percent said they would rather have an outsider instead of a candidate with Washington experience. 

Sixty five percent said they preferred a candidate whose views closely aligned with theirs instead of one that gives the party the best chance to defeat the Democrats. 

After third place Cruz, Bush came in fourth at 6 percent, followed by Carly Fiorina, Gov. John Kasich and Sen. Marco Rubio (Fla.) all at 5 percent support, with former Gov. Mike Huckabee (Ark.) and Sen. Rand Paul (Ky.) finishing at 4 percent,  1 percentage point above Walker.

Bachmann dismisses sexism charges against Trump

Former Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) Thursday evening dismissed charges of sexism over GOP presidential front-runner Donald Trump's comments on women.

"I feel like all this kind of stuff is like nonsense," Bachmann said during an appearance on CNN after host Don Lemon referenced Trump's remarks on GOP rival Carly Fiorina.

Trump defended himself as commenting on Fiorina's "persona" after several top presidential candidates blasted him for mocking Fiorina's "face" in a magazine story this week.

"The main thing really that really, honestly, voters are thinking about are the 54 million women of working age who are not in the workforce today because there are not jobs for them," Bachmann continued on CNN.

"What women want is a sense of security. They want to know that somebody in their family has a good job and that somebody is bringing food home and that you can have a good life," she added.

A 2012 candidate for president, Bachmann won the Iowa Straw poll but finished sixth in the state’s first-in-the-nation caucus.

Colbert loves Biden and encourages him to run...... although I sympathize with Biden's loss... as a vice president he is a bad joke, a puppet like Obama and would be a horrible president just like Hillary. Colbert loves him though...no surprise there.

Biden opens up on loss , tough 2016 decision

Vice President Biden on Thursday made it clear he’s very much undecided on whether to run for president during a wide-ranging interview on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.” 

 

In a discussion that frequently turned emotional, Colbert prodded Biden to speak about the loss of his son, Beau, his faith and his 2016 plans. The late-night host virtually begged Biden to run, saying he would “be sorely missed in the race” if he does not. 

But Biden said he is still in the process of deciding whether to enter the Democratic presidential field. He said nobody should run for the nation’s highest office “unless they are willing to give it 110 percent” of their heart and soul.

 

“I’d be lying if I said that I knew I was there,” Biden said. “I’m being completely honest.” 

Speculation has grown that Biden is poised to make a White House run since he has hit the road to test out his message for a possible campaign. 

 

But the vice president has repeatedly questioned whether he has the “emotional fuel” to run while his family is still grieving the death of Beau, who reportedly encouraged him to run before he passed away earlier this summer. 

 

Prompted by Colbert to speak about his son, Biden recalled an expression from his mother that “as long as you are alive, you have an obligation to strive.” 

 

“I feel like I was letting down Beau, letting down my parents, letting down my family if I didn't just get up,” Biden said. 

 

The vice president’s grief was on full display during the interview, choking up several times when talking about his son. He said he broke down while greeting military service members in Denver after one of the troops mentioned he served with Beau in Iraq.  

“I lost it,” he said. 

 

Biden was able to relate to Colbert, who lost his father and two brothers in a plane crash when he was just 10 years old.

 

"You're one of them, old buddy. Losing your dad when you're a kid. It's like asking what made your mother do it every day?" Biden asked. 

 

"She had to take care of me,” Colbert replied. 

 

"I imagine that would be a hell of a job,” Biden said. 

 

While the interview was mostly serious, Biden and Colbert shared a few laughs. 

 

Colbert asked Biden whether he had “anything to tell us about your plans.” Biden said yes, but it wasn’t the announcement the late-night host was hoping for. 

 

"I think you should run for president and I’ll be your vice president,” Biden joked. 

 

He also quipped about his second-fiddle role at the White House when he microphone cut out at the beginning of the interview. 

 

"By the way, they do this to me at the White House all the time — shut my mic off,” Biden said. 

 

But when the conversation returned to Biden’s future plans, and the vice president remained coy, even though he said he remains “optimistic” in the face of personal tragedy. 

 

"I'm optimistic. I'm positive about where we're going,” he said. “But I find myself ... you understand, sometimes it just sort of overwhelms you.”

 

Colbert ended the interview with something for Biden to consider while he makes his decision. 

 

“It's going to be emotional for a lot of people if you don't run,” he said. “Your example of suffering and service is something that would be sorely missed in the race."

Perry made this announcement in St. Louis at the Eagle Forum on Friday afternoon.

Rick Perry on Friday became the first presidential candidate to drop out of the unprecedentedly crowded 2016 presidential field, in the latest indication of how devalued political experience has become in a race where anti-establishment candidates have surged to the fore.

The former Texas governor, a once-formidable fundraiser who had the most executive experience in the field, pulled the plug on his campaign a little more than three months after entering the race, taking a few parting shots at the Republican presidential front-runner as he did..

“Today I am suspending my campaign for the presidency of the United States,” the former Texas governor said at the Eagle Forum in St. Louis, Missouri.
