During an interview with BET surrounding his latest project “Our Brand is Crisis” (a film about political campaign strategy) he said he would rather run Trump’s campaign over Hillary’s.

Reid derides sanctuary cities bill as the 'Donald Trump Act'

Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) slammed a bill to crackdown on so-called "sanctuary cities" ahead of a procedural vote this week, calling it "the Donald Trump Act" and "vile."

"This vile legislation might as well be called the Donald Trump Act, like the disgusting outrageous language championed by Donald Trump," the Democratic leader said. "Republicans are not really proposing this bill to solve any problems within our immigration system. This Donald Trump Act was designed to demonize immigrants and spread the myth that they are criminals and threats to the public."

His remarks come as the Senate will hold a procedural vote on taking up legislation from Sen. David Vitter (R-La.) that would limit federal funding for cities that don't comply with federal immigration law and increase penalties for undocumented immigrants. Trump, who is running for the Republican presidential nomination, created a political firestorm earlier this year when he said Mexican immigrants are criminals and rapists.

Vitter's legislation will face an uphill, if not impossible, climb to get the 60 votes needed to overcome Tuesday's procedural hurdle. If every Republican supported the legislation, Vitter would still need six Democratic votes.

Reid, however, suggested that Democrats would block the proposal, adding that "the Republican leader shouldn't waste the Senate's time on legislation that he knows won't pass. This legislation is not going to pass. He knows that. We all know that."

Instead, he suggested that Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) focus on legislation that would raise the debt ceiling ahead of a Nov. 3 deadline or pass a long-term highway funding bill.

Democrats have repeatedly criticized Republicans for setting up "show" votes since taking over the majority in January. Separately Democratic leadership on Monday blasted out data from the Congressional Research Service suggesting that the current Senate is on track to be the least productive in recent history.

According to the CRS memo, while the current Senate has passed more legislation or resolutions than the previous two Congress', it's trailing behind on nominations.

Poll: Trump Increases Lead, Bush Fades

A new Wall Street Journal poll finds Donald Trump increasing his hold on the top spot in the race for the Republican nomination. Trump is supported by 25 percent of GOP primary voters now, up from 21 percent in September. Ben Carson also increased his support, rising from 20 percent to 22 percent in the latest poll.

Report: 9-11 Hijackers Obtained Florida I.D. Cards under Governor J...

GOP presidential candidate Jeb Bush is defending his brother, former President George W. Bush, against GOP frontrunner Donald Trump’s reminder that 9-11 occurred under George W. Bush’s watch. But the International Business Times (IBT) reports the hijackers on 9-11 actually obtained Florida drivers licenses – or I.D. cards – while Jeb Bush was governor, which allowed them to disappear into society.

So why is this not bigger news I wonder?  Giving away drivers licenses to illegal, non-citizen, has no legal right to anything interlopers like tic tacs is allowing the gates of hell to be popped wide open?

Such vote buying to me is perfidy and should be treated as such.  I provide my photo ID when I vote, now that this form of ID is given to non-citizens, the Dems with the help from Jeb and others who gives drivers licenses away has stacked the voting fraud deck quite nicely.  A push back on this and other stupid and dangerous political moves must begin to take place, and add to that that Jeb is an illustration of just how he is NOT presidential IMHO, I find that he whinges on just about everything.  So now, he is spending time defending his brother's mark on history.... yet he still has not given any sound or rational details on what his office of President would entail and his vision of his mark on history..... to take my comments one step further.... not one of the candidates on either side has been articulate on anything except on posturing, whinging, naggy and a verbal pain to listen to.

We are devoid of a statesman, they now no longer exist for we as a society have forgotten what a statesman truly is.  Skilled, Experience,True, Respected.... words no longer used to describe any leader voters vote for today.  And it is WE THE(Voting) PEOPLE that has allowed the lowing of the standards.  I know not one holding a seat in DC today that even comes a wee bit close, yet if I am missing who they may be, I hope that I am corrected.

Our country is in great distress with any of the Dems,( add Biden to that mix too) or Repubs of which we have a choice....IMHO

So why is this not bigger news I wonder?  Giving away drivers licenses to illegal, non-citizen, has no legal right to anything interlopers like tic tacs is allowing the gates of hell to be popped wide open?

Well said and it is all about the NWO plan with the Bushes, both Georges and Jeb. Having no borders and giving illegals rewards for breaking into the country is all a part of the agenda. Our leaders have failed us because they no longer listen to us they are listening to the special interests that pad their pockets.  That is why this country is in the shape it is in. Actually many of we the people have been fighting to keep the standards up but there  are traitors on both sides of the aisle and many got in office with voter fraud. The system is now set up for fraud and if it is not changed no matter how we vote it will not matter.

That is what I find really disturbing, the system is set up for fraud. No matter how popular the candidate is it will not matter if the machines are set up for fraud and there are million of illegal aliens voting. In 2012 there was a Spanish company tabulating votes. It was blatant fraud IMO and nothing was done to stop it and Obama stayed in office.

Article is at this link.

I agree, thanks for the link I will put it with other voter fraud links on my page.

Poll: Republicans Want Principled Speaker,

Not a Dealmaker

According to the WSJ poll, Republican primary voters would prefer a House Speaker who stood on principle, rather than one who comprised to pass legislation. Even if such a stand meant the House got less work done, 56% of GOP voters wanted a Speaker to stand on Republican principles as opposed to just 40% who would prefer compromise to get results.
