House leadership is reminding their members that the spending bill is the completion of Boehner's deal cut with Dem's before he left and for this reason its OK to work with them to pass the final appropriations bill. Scalice who is graded a C and not a far right winger has put them on notice as shown above.
What bothers me is only 76 RINO's will support this and it will take the Dems to get it passed. If as is required by house rules you need 150 republicans to support any bill before it goes to the floor the bill should contain enough conservative riders to get the 150. Scalice in his letter politely put the leadership on notice to this fact. In my view the conservatives are feed up with the RINO class in the house and his letter if ignored will mean house leadership is going to be unemployed after the 2016 election cycle is finished.
This view also comes from my son who works on capital hill, the conservatives know they badly out number RINO's and they are hopping mad. If not for the elections I'm told they would rebel now.
Good for you DV...No wonder you know so much of the insider stuff...This is another great post...I watched a video of the Conservative leader being interviewed and he said the public was mislead on the fact of how many conservatives there actually were in the house...that they actually outnumber the Rinos...as we call them...When they stick together ...they can actually can be a force to reckon with...They just need to know that we have their backs. We are truly blessed to have you here....
The HFC does not control the majority of votes in the rupublican house. Therefore, to comply with the Hassert rule for bringing bills to the floor for a vote requires 124 rupublican majority to support the bill. That is not a diffucult task for the leadership. Most major bills will have the support of the leadership and committe leaders. This still allows for the few that represent districts that have a high voter count of conservative voters to vote against the leadership position to retain a postion with the key constiuents of their respective districts. But at the end of the day the republicans may need some democrats to get the bill passed in the house with 218 votes. No rules have been broken and no promises have been unserved.
Yes the Hassert rule says half, but the deal with Ryan is 150. And no its not easy for the RINO's to reach the number. Thats why those bills keep getting from 74 to 79 votes by republicans. With Nancy getting the democrats to support and pass legislation.
The facts are when democrats control all is passed by Dems, before Boehner when republicans had control all was passed by them. This new idea of needing Democrats to pass bills when the house republicans have 247 votes is a way of hiding the fact that the 80 Rino team with democrats to pass liberal legislation. Only conservatives have woken up to the game.
Thats why Rino's are running scared this election cycle.
DV, I do not question your son's inside information, but I would find it hard for you to find 60 constitutionalists/TPs members in the republican caucus. There are 246 republican members in the house, so if there are only 76 so-called RINO's, who are the other 110 republican members?
On every board I post on there are people who seek to look at all the good taking place in Washington and frame it in a way that that might demoralize some. But I see Boehner gone, I see the RINO's like Renee Elmers falling 25 points behind her conservative rival. I see the open republican seats abandoned by RINO's in the house and I see a base ready to take names and kick some but in this primary season.
I see at the same time the democrat party in ruins as they have lost power in state's house and senate, I see over 30 of the governors are now republican. To those who chose to frame everything as gloom and doom I suggest you go work for the media or find a Democrat board where the sentiment should be found.
I am happy as a pig in shit by the changes in the Republican party.
Well getting past ths language...LOL...I agree every word....
Progressives aren't mentally normal, and neither is the GOP political establishment in Washington. Normal babies learn that if something hurts, you stop doing it, but when progressives see their policies fail, they blame the people involved and demand that the same ideas be tried again, and again, and again -- in just the same way that the GOP reacts to one Obama double-cross after another by trying appeasement and appeals to reason or fairness on the next issue, and the next, and the next.

Is the Republican Establishment in panic mode?
Renewable energies such as solar, thermal, and wind are slowly displacing the centralized utility power model. Latinos and asians are becoming a larger share of the voting population, while old white baby boomers are dying at a rate of nearly 3,000 per day. The 18-34 demographic is identifying more with liberal ethics and policies by a 2 to 1 margin, and that same group is moving back to the urban core instead of suburban metros.
All while market policies of core conservative philosophy have failed to lower healthcare costs, failed to deliver trust in banking institutions that are too big to jail, and failed to adequately address competition in key markets such as telecom and insurance.
Not withstanding targeting female autonomy by destroying funding for family planning, and organizing retribution against blacks with attacks on ACORN, voting precinct opening hours, and registration requirements.
Is it time to hit the panic button before the white south dies out? Why not just represent conservatism like the GOP claims to.
If everything you are saying is true why has the Democrat party lost so many seats the the Republicans at the state and local level. If democrats are so popular why is the party puting up a couple of old white men and one old white woman. The conservatives offered two young men, one white woman, one black man, two Hispanics and more.
So we have conservative diversity verses old white people on the democrat side. Then next thing you be says is democrats represent the people and republicans are racist. If the left tells lies long enough some dumb people will buy it.
Charles..sooo great to see you posting here...Missed you Buddy but under the circumstances ..just glad to see you find the time to post...:)
Filling deadlines continue to arrive and as they do we see we are up to 10 rino's retiring and we have 5 that are running for higher office. Joly here in Florida has left his seat to run for Rubios seat in the senate and has no chance based on current polls. So the number of open R rino seats up for grabs is at 15 with more to come i'm sure and that to the batch of Rino's polling behind and you see this election is going to be a game changer in the house. I love it, American conservatives have awoken.
