Citizens Dedicated To Preserving Our Constitutional Republic
I have written many times about the importance of repentance and prayer to the future of our nation and will do so again, here and more times in the future, in the hope that people will respond accordingly and give God a reason to spare us of the judgment the nation deserves and is asking for. One of my favorite Bible verses is 2 Chronicles 7:14 "If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves, and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear them from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land." I have included this verse in several previous articles, asking people who call themselves Christians to not only pray this verse but to live it also. Turning from our wicked ways is repenting of our sins. Repentance means to turn around and a total turnaround is what is needed, spiritually, physically, and practically. I don't know how much longer God is going to tolerate the attitude of those running the government but I do know He will run out of patience, and likely very soon.

In other words turn the other cheek and hope things get better..Then repent for doing that? What do I have to repent for???? I did nothing wrong nor did my husband or my children.. Our Country began with throwing the bums out and it will need to do that again... Pray, sure we need to all pray, that we have the strength to do what is necessary not repent for it..
kate is correct....the American people have nothing to repent for....only those that have made some poor decisions in their life that goes against the teachings of our 10 laws presented by God. God in my judgement could care less who we choose as our leader. He gave us all the tools we need to make the choice we are most comfortable with. If he were interested in the direction our country is going he would change it in the flash of a light bulb. God never makes a mistake. He designed the world with the ability to manage ourselves. If we throw that away we have no one to blame but ourselves. God views every single person on the earth the same way. Where you live is of no importance to him. Everyone is equal.
jack, I believe that God does care or He would not have been with our founders when they sought His guidance and protection. We do have free choice in His eyes and if we throw it away we will pay the price but I am not willing to throw it away and I know what we need to preserve liberty. We need the protection and wisdom of Divine Providence as our founders sought. That is what this article is about, turning back to God. If where we live is of no importance why was this nation established in the first place, based on the protection of Divine Providence?
We should strive to understand it was never possible for it to last forever.
That is why America does not win any more. ..We except a loosing way. I do not want a participation trophy. Rhodes I for one reject your thinking.
Actually Your God and My God is the same God...But I know what you mean.I just think Trump is right about needing a good wining streak for a while.
My opinion is that it would be a wonder to have some things going our way but then what "our" way may be is what needs to prayed over.
God makes his thoughts on the idea of nations fairly clear over and over yet we all somehow think our own is the exception. Perhaps it is perhaps it is not I am in no mind to set His priorities.
Oh and what do you know, it wasnt a lost cause after all. :D
I didn't say "turn the other cheek and hope for things to get better", I said to pray and repent because all of us have done wrong to some extent. Some have much more to repent for but all of us have had some role in the direction our nation is going. and, yes, we need to throw the bums out.
Bob I will never argue with your beliefs...in my view I have no right to judge others beliefs or what is in their heart....I will leave that up to the Almighty.....there is nothing wrong with all of us doing some repenting and praying....while we still draw breath on earth, I think that would be a worthwhile thing for all of us that believe....I don't pray for outcomes...I pray that I make the right choices in life that might please God how I used the wisdom he gave me.
jack, I am not "judging" anyone. I merely follow what the Bible says and speak out against anything that goes against the Word of God. I have both a right and a responsibility to do so. Those who stand against morality will be judged by the only one able to judge them. The most common tactic of the satanic left is to accuse people like me of "judging" people to intimidate us into accepting evil rather than standing up for what is right. God's word tells us that we shouldn't accept evil and I won't. If that is "judging" in yoiur view then I pity your eternal soul because it looks as if you are willing to compromise where you shouldn't but then I only have to answer for myself.
