NOT KIDDING: Trump already backing off of a full repeal of Obamacare

Trump isn’t even president yet and he’s already waffling on a full repeal of Obamacare. Why? Because Obama made an appeal to him:

WSJ – On health care, Mr. Trump said a big reason for his shift from his call for an all-out repeal was that Thursday meeting at the White House with the president, who, he said, suggested areas of the Affordable Care Act to preserve. “I told him I will look at his suggestions, and out of respect, I will do that,” Mr. Trump said in his Trump Tower office.

“Either Obamacare will be amended, or repealed and replaced,” Mr. Trump said.

Amended?? UGH!

Obama is nice to Trump, says ‘pretty please’, and Trump’s already willing to considering leaving parts of Obamacare in place??? What a principle-less chump!

Congress had better kick Trump’s ass on this issue and put a FULL REPEAL bill on his desk and then DARE him to veto it. They better hold the line on this issue!

I was thinking that myself. But JL did not defend the constitution like JV.

KK, an observation:

The Federalist has calculated that our current Constitution which includes Amendments as well as the related SCOTUS Rulings; aggregate 3000 pages. At 500 words a page, that's 1.5 millions words!!!

Yet apparently for some, more Amendments are the solution to our problems.

Just reflect a moment.

The Ten Commandments, an articulation of the Natural Law, aggregate 75 words!

TVC , I do appreciate any one who loves the constitution. That is because I love it myself. Far to many Amendments have been attached to this God given works of guidance of life. The path back to a constitutional government will take time.It will take many elections to do. Election of Trump is only the application of the breaks on the decay. To fix the many paper cuts will take much time. So ripping open all the scabs at one time is opening up the high chance of infection. Where the progress will happen ,is along the center of both parties ,not the extremes. Our goal should be to help make more Blue Dog Democrats. I say this because Blue Dogs do deal in common sense better. And common sense is where solutions need to come from. Hopefully by the time mid January rolls around ,a better atmosphere will evolve in the Capitol.

There are some 30,000.000 citizens directly dependent on Obamacare for their health care, which in many cases is a matter of life or death for them. Abandoning them w/repeal w/o replacement would create a firestorm that would destroy the Trump presidency.

Even a room temperature IQ should be able to figure that out.

Insuring 30 million people with preexisting conditions at the taxpayer expense will break any new plan that is offered. The runaway cost of healthcare is not insuring citizens it's the cost to insure the chronically sick citizens.

Well Jack you're back and now you're an expert on health care.

YOU ARE IRRELEVANT!

No Charles I am not an expert on healthcare. However, before I was on medicare my healthcare insurance for my wife and I was $36K per year with a $20K deductible. Now that we are both on medicare our insurance costs are the medicare tax fee which is a fraction of the $36K and my deductible is nowhere near the $20K. The average expense to medicare  is probably $80K per year which means I am an expense to the medicare system. Individuals like myself makeup a large portion of the 30 million. If I were not on medicare it would not be likely I would be buying health insurance. At my age and health condition it would be an unwise expense even if I could afford it and be able to find someone to insure me. My options would be to take my chances each day and be thankful I made it each day.

By the way Charles, I never thought I was relevant on this forum before the election and I certainly don't think I made any progress on that point given the election results.

color me confused...

yso you have no problem with the constitution being ignored. that says a lot

I can only assume you are a welfare advocate as well since so many depend on it for food and shelter?

not me, I will defend and protect the CONSTITUTION no matter who it effects. OH it will effect me both personaly and at work since any change means weeks of wasted work and weeks of work to change it

JV what are you trying to prove?

that trump will be just as unconstitutional as hilary and obama.

oH and also that I will stand with the constitution and defend it against all enemies both foreign and domestic.

that is the oath I swore and it has no expiration date.

And so we would be better off with killery or is this another libertarian ataboy?

at this point hilary is not a factor, trump won so now its back to core principles and that means its all about the Constitution and bill of rights .

does this site hold the same core values of the tea party
