Trump makes the DeVos pick official
Citizens Dedicated To Preserving Our Constitutional Republic
Those who were hoping that Michelle Ree might become the Secretary of Education might be disappointed, but others are calling Betsy DeVos a very strong pick by el Trumpo.
From Fox News:
President-elect Donald Trump has selected a charter school advocate and GOP donor from Michigan to be education secretary.
Betsy DeVos becomes the second woman chosen to fill a spot in Trump’s Cabinet. Earlier Wednesday, Trump named South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley as U.S. ambassador to the United Nations earlier in the day.
Both selections require Senate confirmation.
Trump calls DeVos “a brilliant and passionate education advocate.”
DeVos heads the advocacy group American Federation for Children. She’s known for supporting charter schools and vouchers.
Before Trump’s announcement, some conservatives were complaining about DeVos’ ties to the political establishment. They also warned that she previously supported Common Core standards that Trump railed against during the campaign.
The 58-year-old DeVos is a former Michigan Republican Party chairwoman. Her husband, Dick, is an heir to the Amway fortune and a former company president.
Here’s his official statement on it:
This is great news for those of us who believe that charter schools and education vouchers will bring more choice into education and improve the power of the parents to expend their children’s educational opportunities. If el Trumpo improves inner school education, there will be a lot of black, Hispanic, and other minority groups who will love the GOP for it. So much winning!!!

A lot of people supported common core before they were against it. Even now it is near impossible to trace it back to it's roots. T party sites years ago uncovered the origins.
Mike Huckabee was one that supported CC before he was against it.That doesn't mean he's not a "conservative" .
There are three main problems the Trump administration must address to begin to restore academia to a semblance of its former glory: the culture, the cost and the credibility of today’s colleges. If higher education sincerely wants to understand where they’ve gone wrong, and how they can go right again, here’s what has to be faced:

I have long said that Colleges are way over rated. Now I have been proven right. And why have colleges and the theory of higher education is better back fired....Wait for ...Wait for it... Yep the same old tools used by the devil of Greed and Selfishness. The institution of education has turned into money pits.....But honestly, some people go to colleges to learn something that life will teach just by experiencing the art of earning a living.. And now we produce more computer geeks then we need. Good hard working industries have been put at a social standard of beneath us.
All three exist as they do today entirely due to involvement of the federal government.
Want it fixed then the real problem must be addressed even at the cost of collapse which must happen anyway.
Don't we wish that was the only matter with that unfortunate reality.
