Citizens Dedicated To Preserving Our Constitutional Republic
I have some questions regarding "fetuses" that are born alive during a failed abortion attempt, questions the Left will absolutely not address.
First, let me say that I strongly oppose abortion. But, that is not the subject of this post.
I am talking about babies that are born alive during a failed abortion attempt and are outside the woman (I refuse to call her a mother). Just exactly when does the fetus go from being a "tissue mass" to being "human"?
According to Virginia's Governor Norquist (a pediatrician by training), babies born alive despite an abortion attempt should be "put on a table, made comfortable, and left to die while the woman, her family, and the doctor discuss what to do". This statement tells me two things. First, it tells me that Governor Norquist is admitting that the baby feels discomfort and pain or there would be no point in making it "comfortable". Second, it tells me that Governor Norquist knows it is alive or there would be no need to let it "die". This shows him (and the Left) for the absolute hypocrite he is.
So, back to my question, "When, exactly, does a baby go from being a "tissue mass" to being "human"?
Again, according to Governor Norquist, in such a circumstance, the woman, her family, and the doctor should have a clam "discussion" on what to do about the baby; whether or not to kill it.
How long does this "discussion" go on; 30 seconds, 30 minutes, 30 hours? In the meantime, what about the baby? When does it become human with full human and Constitutional rights? Given that it is lying on a table, breathing, probably crying, is it not already human? As a human, does it not have full human and Constitutional rights? Does that not make anyone who kills it a murderer?
Before you think I am over the cliff on this one, let me take it to its logical extreme. What if a woman takes the baby home and subsequently finds out it has, say, Autism? Can she bring it back in a couple of years and tell the doctor to kill it? Can she kill it herself?
According to one Harvard Professor, "Yes, up until the age of five years". According to this "Professor", children under the age of five lack the consciousness and sentience to know they are alive or human, so they can be killed at the sole discretion of the mother (but not the father, of course).
So, once again, back to my question, "When, exactly, does a baby gain full human and Constitutional rights? To my [feeble] mind, as soon as it is born alive and not a second later.
If a baby is human and does have full Constitutional rights, anyone who kills it is a murderer, period.
What say you?

ARE YOU aware a Baby in the Womb at 20 weeks,can feel just as much pain as a full grown adult can? THINK ABOUT IT! How many full grown adults could stand being systematically cut into pieces,in a drawn out process,to end them??? Barbaric Democrats Gleefully IGNORE this. The Democrats don't want to protect children, It's part of their hidden agenda to lower the world population IMHO. If they see nothing wrong with aborting a child after it's born, what do they care about any life? They have finally publicly declared themselves inhumanly EVIL! The question is "When are they going to come for you?"
I agree with you M!! To me it is murder in the First Degree when they leave a baby to die or kill it within the womb. And yes if we let this go then they will come after us which I think is their plan anyway. We are in deep trouble as a Country!!!
Mickie,
It also conflicts with a Federal Law against Partial Birth Abortions that is still on the books;
Thank you for the info, I forgot about it.
