Event Description

We have chartered the Amazing Grace tall ship from Gig Harbor, Washington. She is an 85 foot, top-sail schooner characteristic of traditional ships from the mid 1700’s. Colonial Patriot Thomas Paine (as seen on YouTube) will be back from the history books to deliver a special message - in person.

www.WeThePeople-Washington.org are working with The 912 Project and other patriotic groups in both Washington and Oregon to organize this event. Victoria Taft, local talk radio host, has agreed to serve as MC for the event. We have a host of speakers lined up to remind us of the principles of the American Founding and our civic responsibilities as We The People. We must raise our expectations for representation and make a more deliberate effort to develop future statesman. The tall ship Amazing Grace will make her maiden voyage on the Columbia and Willamette rivers. Sponsor cruises are schedule in the morning and evening.

Dr. Bob Basso (Colonial Patriot Thomas Paine) and his wife Paula Swornay (Ms. Sr. California 2003 and Saprano Opera singer) will be honored guests on the evening sunset sail. Ms. Swornay has offered to sing Amazing Grace from aboard Amazing Grace as we sail through downtown Portland.

Sailboats from all the local marinas are invited to join Amazing Grace for a freedom sail.

'Extra Extra read all about it...Three ships arrived from England loaded with Tea and are docked at Griffins warf........the tea is taxed at 3 pense a pound........first it was the sugar tax, then the stamp tax for every piece of printed paper we use....now a tax on the one drink a poor man enjoys tea......Now the tea tax next it will be something else, I say no to taxiation without representation!!......'
We have no representation in the Kings Parlament!

Who knows how tea will mingle with salt water?
