During a lengthy interview on MSNBC's "Morning Joe," Trump refused multiple opportunities to jab any of his opponents.

He instead struck a conciliatory tone, saying he "didn't think anybody did poorly," and noting that the GOP candidates were "getting better" with each passing debate. He also had some faint praise for chief rival Ben Carson, saying, "I thought he was good." He said other opponents like Jeb Bush "couldn't be nicer."

And the business mogul was effusive in his praise of Fox Business Network, who hosted the debate following a performance by CNBC moderators in the previous debate that was widely panned by its participants and other Republicans.

Asked by MSNBC whether he would let Ben Carson run one of his companies -- a wink at an attack Trump launched at Marco Rubio days earlier -- Trump passed on the opportunity to hit the retired neurosurgeon. He quipped, "I'd let him operate on a friend of mine -- not necessarily me, but a friend of mine," before conceding that he would let him run one of his companies.

Earlier that morning, Trump used Twitter with much the same message, crowning himself the winner of the debate and lavishing praise on its moderators.

Well, Obama's speech was just another America is great, because we have the best military and the best leadership. At least that is what I heard in all of his remarks. He even claimed that his leadership was what took back some of the ISIS territory. Guess the Kurds had nothing to do with it. Perhaps he is fighting against a different terrorist group - ISIL. Even while the reporters and journalists kept saying ISIS, he kept saying ISIL. Maybe that is why he believes ISIL is being contained. And I just knew he was lying, he um, um, umed so many times. And that is a very good indication he isn't being truthful.

One reporter asked about the 10,000 refugees, Obama was so dramatic - he said that we had to accept because it's American way to help those in need. And he said someone talked about only allowing Christians, no to any religious test - that isn't what America is about, either. No one got a chance to ask him about why no Christians are being allowed in, or if they are, allowed to stay. And one other item, once this question was answered, he closed down the questions, said he was too busy, but perhaps he could return if he found some time. I sure would have asked him if he could give up golf. I wasn't there, though.

Obama also said that we are not fighting Islam/Muslims, we are fighting violent terrorists. Well that isn't what the ISIS groups are posturing.

We got Obama because of the colossal incompetence of George the Compassionate, a man w/a brick masquerading as his brain just as we got Clinton because of Senior. People get the governance they deserve and tolerate, a reality that is at least 5000 years old.

Election fraud thru union corruption from the media to the government. That is how we got Obama.
Bush was only as stupid as the media claimed he was unless he was clever and diabolical in his WMD plot.

I wish we conservatives could have a site free from liberals and union loyalists that believe their propaganda is not glaringly obvious.

hank not seeing a lot of problems coming from liberals on any of the three sites I troll... but the bigoted fascist scare the heck out of me

Hank, so you're still on the trail of union corruption as the root of our evils. That poor drum must be badly need a new cover by now. Now you're certainty entitled to your opinion, but let's debate this.

In the 19th century, three very wise men emerged in politics; Disraeli in Britain, Von Bismarck in Prussia and TR in the USA. All understood that while the Industrial Revolution was accelerating and thereby creating vast wealth among the entrepreneurial class; it was also dramatically raising wages among the working class. Given the law of numbers, this meant the future political power would be held by labor not capitalists. As such, the aim of these wise men was to align non-socialist labor w/their party.

Roosevelt, Mark Hanna/Ohio and Samuel Gompers/AFL, all shared the vision that Lincoln's 'plain people' were a natural Republican constituency. Sadly the progressive R corporatist elites saw a threat to their position of influence and fought it.The was the core of the Bull-Moose fight in 1912. After FDR won decisively in '32, labor never looked back. As for Bush, you're much too kind to this incompetent buffoon.

A cardinal Principle of Conservatism is Prudence, a virtue deemed most necessary in a leader by the Greeks of Antiquity. It necessitates reflection, weighing the consequences on the future by action taken in the now. As John Randolph of Virginia remarked,"The Almighty moves w/deliberation while the Devil is forever in haste." Consider the fiasco in Iraq.

Bush, another sanctimonious humanitarian in the mold of Woodrow Wilson, insisted on 'bringing democracy to the Arabs (his words)". And what has been the consequences of this. Put simply, a Muslim world on fire!!! At its core,Islam, a fanatical and intolerant cult, barely a religion, is bent on world domination via a universal Caliphate administering Sharia Law. What tranquility exists in Muslim nations is a function of iron fisted rule by the likes of Saddam Hussein. Period. By bringing him down we empowered the Shiite, the mortal enemy of the Sunni, since Mohamed. And the results are plain to see, except for the deaf, dumb and blind.

Since Alexander, the Anatolian Plain stretching into the Euphrates/Tigris Valley has been the traditional home of hundreds of Christian communities, some dating from Roman rule in Palestine.Today they are being systematically exterminated by muslim fanatics.

Betting here is that Bush is too stupid to even remotely grasp the consequences of his actions.

Unions are systematically splintering middle east factions and planting their flag. They already have union labor agreements with all the puppet governments Obama has installed. I would like to add that the 19th century and Wikipedia matter less and less in a world where organized crime has a stranglehold on our government and the media and where the union controllled schools formed your opinions.

Er..........not quite.

My opinions were formed primarily by 75 years of traveling the world w/my eyes and ears open and my mouth closed plus Fordham University as well as reading many reflective books in a few languages.

hank do you have a link to these contracts unions have with these puppet gov.Obama installed ...and WHAT governments has he installed???

ANYTHING WILL HELP..

Standby blades my time has been limited these days.

A Society of Narcissists

An essay by Ethan A. Bayer

The Greeks tell a story of a beautiful young man who cast aside the forest nymphs that fawned over him. As punishment for his impudence, the gods caused him to fall in love with his reflection as seen in a pool, so that when he tried to touch it, it would melt away. Eventually he lost all vigor due to his inability to love something real (RSP, 204). Moving deeper than the stereotypical conclusions one might draw from the myth, we find that narcissism is not a simple matter of conceit and vanity; as Lasch explains, "it is this confusion of the self and the not-self-not 'egoism'-that distinguishes the plight of Narcissus" (MS, 19).

In some ways, narcissism has proved itself to be a biological necessity. We must be "selfish" in order to survive. A constant awareness of and response to our internal states, such as hunger, fear, and fatigue is required to keep our bodies in homeostasis. However, our narcissism needs a limit, because survival on one's own is next to impossible. We are able to surrender some of our self-interest for cooperation and expand our circle of narcissism to include an entire group (PR, 120-121).

Present day narcissism gained force in the 1970s. With the political chaos of the 1960s, people moved in the opposite direction and began to escape from the world by creating havens within themselves. The 1970s, the time period Tom Wolfe named the "third great awakening" (CN, 5), were marked by a bare need for survival, which demands a focus into the self and a disregard for large-scale societal issues (CN, 4-6). This "war of all against all" originated and flourished in the lower class, eventually branching upward into mainstream society (CN, 26).
