SIR, you've said it all in your outstanding writing of "Common Sense II". I'm proud to know you and to be a part of your patriotic movement to take back the U.S. Constitution and the United States of America! "Common Sense II" should be read by or to, every patriotic American citizen and, should be incorporated into all U.S. school curriculums as required reading from grade school through the colleges and university's! Who knows, the "walk the walk" patriotism just might begin to resinate within the the young and old citizens of the United States of America once again, the same enthusiastic patriotic spirit we had during WWII! We did it before and we can do it again!! Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their country. As the politicians choose not to act as representatives for the people, we find our nation once again at the mercy of it`s citizens. Foreign forces control miles of American soil. The violence of the Mexican drug cartels has closed many acres of American land to it`s citizens. We have the right, and the duty, to stand up to the invaders. Although we, as Americans, have been blessed by God with the most beautiful land on this planet and we have been granted freedoms by the Almighty that are kept by our most sacred of documents; The Constitution, we are not deserving of neither our land nor our freedoms if we choose not to defend them both. The vast majority of American voters have a desire to see our borders secured. Almost every American wants to see an end to the drug smuggling and violence across our borders. But what will it take to get America`s sons and daughters to take action? Drugs that cross our southern border are found on our streets and in our children`s schools. How many more kidnappings and murders north of our southern border will Americans accept? In a nation of laws, how much lawlessness can we endure? How many additional miles of land must we lose to the foreign forces? The time to protect the land that we love has long past. We can no longer wait. If we do not take a stand collectively now, then when and at what cost? Imagine if all of America`s sons and daughters decided to take a stand at our nation`s borders. We would stop the lawlessness and send a clear signal to both governments of America and Mexico that we will no longer accept the status quo. If we do not exercise our rights we will surely lose them. As strength comes from exercise, so does the strength of the people immerge from the exercising of individual rights. We the people are not required to ask anyone for permission to exercise our rights. We will not be subservient to an overbearing, corrupt, morally and ethically bankrupt government that no longer serves the people. As long as we act within the law the government is in no position to make any requests or demands. And although the politicians and authorities do not desire to see the American people protecting the borders, our nation requires it. We the people will not treat our southern border as a political quandary. Unlike the politicians we will not sell our security and safety for votes, nor will we act as misfits in a chaotic rage in a misled effort in defense of our borders. Our simple desire is to do what is right and defend our borders in organized operations. An act of righteous defense of your country does not need to be explained and should never be the subject of debate. It`s just what patriotic men and women do. We are just as much to blame as the government is for the invasion that threatens us. We have hidden in the safety of voting booths and behind computer screens. We have voted for the very politicians that refuse to enforce existing immigration laws and safeguard our borders. We have complained about the issues while taking very little action ourselves. We have taken very little action while government policies have converted state parks along the border into war zones. And as a flood of foreigners pass through our open borders we pay for the healthcare, imprisonment and education for people the government does not collect taxes from. And as our country becomes a bilingual nation we do not make any attempt to understand who exactly is pouring through our open borders. It is naive to believe that all the people who have entered into our nation illegally mean us no harm. We have no documentation of who they are and we can not pretend to know their intentions. We are just as much to blame as the government for the problems we face. Many of America`s patriots acknowledge the need to repatriate the foreigners who have illegally entered our country but we have known for many years that the politicians only offer amnesty and reform without enforcement of existing immigration laws. We have not taken appropriate actions to secure our borders ourselves. We continued to place our faith in false prophets; politicians that never produced results. We knew for many years that the government would never act in defense of our borders. It is the absence of America`s sons and daughters at our borders that is to blame for the invasion from the south. It is the absence of America`s sons and daughters at our borders that has led to the deaths of innocent ranchers and drugs on our streets and in our children`s schools. Our inaction is inexcusable. Our refusal to defend our land is deplorable. The government has stated that the southern border is safer than it`s ever been. They declared this as they posted warning signs discouraging citizens from entering state parks in southern Arizona and as authorities in southern Arizona received death threats from the Mexican drug cartels. I argue that the lies from the government are more dangerous than the Mexican drug cartels. Both the American government and the Mexican cartels are vicious and venomous and operate by their own rules. But the cartels do not operate under the false pretence of being servants of the American people. The government has made a commitment to send the National Guard to the border. The last administration attempted this same tactic. The number of National Guard that has been ordered to the southern border, in all border states, is a small percentage of what the state of Arizona alone has requested. The National Guard will be in supporting roles and will not engage the drug cartels. The treacherous government acts as an unscrupulous body of bureaucracy that has no intentions of securing our borders. This is another dog and pony show provided by the government to pacify the people. It is an insult to our intelligence and a demonstration of weakness to our enemies including the foreign forces that control miles of American soil near the southern border. The government will eventually grant another amnesty and many politicians say that the careless act will make some immigration laws null and void while also eradicating any need for civilian patrols. Even when the government grants another amnesty and sweeping immigration reform our borders will be no more secure than they are today. The Mexican drug cartels will continue to battle for control of American soil. Only the day when terrorists no longer see our borders as points of entry, when there are no longer drugs on our streets and in our children's schools, and when all new immigrants in America are documented and accounted for will we feel secure. And even if all this security became a reality a need for civilian patrols would exist. We would be required to stay vigilant to ensure that the government would not backslide to it`s former irresponsible and reckless policies. The government declares that sending large number of troops to defend our borders is not the answer. They make this remark as American soldiers patrol the border of the Demilitarized Zone in Korea. The government has a history of sending money and troops to defend borders of other nations across the globe while neglecting our borders. The government declares that border fences do not work. Countries around the world use fences and barricades to secure their borders with great success. The government has announced that our immigration policies need to be reformed. How would anyone know? If the policies are not enforced we are unable to establish their efficacy. The reality of the issue is that the government calls for reform to distract you from the fact that they have never enforced immigration laws on a large scale. The politicians treat the land at our borders as ungovernable. If the politicians refuse to secure our borders then we the people need to answer the call. We live in topsy-turvy times. Absurdity has replaced reason and logic and we have grown complacent. It has become "humanitarian" to allow Mexican citizens to die crossing our deserts. It has become politically correct to allow drugs to be smuggled across our borders. The government sends American soldiers to defend borders between nations around the world and declare our borders to be uncontrollable. The government suppresses state rights and will not allow states to even enforce federal immigration laws, however, they allow cities in states across the country to declare sanctuary for invaders as "sanctuary cities" which ignore federal laws. These "sanctuary cities" allow people without documentation whom have broken federal laws by entering our country illegally to compete in the job market with law abiding citizens. Politicians and the collective government chooses not to secure our borders and enforce immigration laws for their own political reasons. We must unite and take a stand against the lawlessness. We must lead by example and instill virtues in our next generation. We can not compromise our morals. We must stand unyielding in times of uncertainty and instability. Citizens from foreign countries that cross illegally into our nation contribute to congested hospitals and schools, overcrowded communities and prisons, and our drained resources. Tax payers and America`s infrastructure pay a heavy toll for the overwhelming invasion. Our children pay the price as the drugs that cross our borders enter their schools. Young women and girls pay the price when they`re kidnapped and forced into vile prostitution rings. And many innocent people have paid the ultimate price when the Mexican drug cartels violently took their lives. Our passion for our country and love for our families and neighbors will force the maniacal politicians and their puppets to take a back seat where they belong. As it was once the people that drove this country and even paved the way; it must be so, again. We fell asleep behind the wheel and we must awaken. We can no longer lie dormant as we lose our nations sovereignty and our personal safety. A slumbering nation must awaken. We the people must defend our land. We move forward into the unknown. The corrupt politicians no longer represent us or the best interests of our nation. And although the politicians refuse to represent their constituents and the nations majority, we must march as defenders and caregivers of this land we ourselves are beholden to. We have taken from this land and raised our children on it`s soil. We have produced our food in, and on, it`s soil and we have buried our family members in the earth of this land. There is an innate spark of patriotism within us all. It is the love for our family, neighbors, and the land we call home that continues to fuel the spark. We celebrate our nations independence and profess our love for our land, however, we can not wear the tag of patriot as a symbol without any substance behind it. The flag waving and declarations of love for our nation are a result of our devotion to our nation however they are not the core of patriotism. We must defend what we love and cherish it in our hearts and souls as a mother protects and cares for her child. We must safeguard our land. Protecting your nation is not merely a symptom of patriotism but your obligation as a patriot. If a person is unwilling to defend their nation how could they dare call themselves a patriot? The spark of patriotism must become a flame that not only grows within us individually, but sweeps across the nation to turn the tide of irresponsiblity and absurdity. We must turn our backs on the past follies of our nations representatives and secure our own future. The fate of this nation rests in the hands of it`s citizens. Any threat to our nation must be treated as a threat. Any person or group that threatens our nation must be treated as an enemy. We must protect and save what we wish to share with our children and grandchildren. If our desire is to safeguard our nation we must secure our borders. We must individually look deep within ourselves and find the courage to do what is right. Finally, when we consider the governments inaction concerning our security and the implications of their negligent ways we come to one conclusion: we must protect our own interests. We must secure our nation ourselves. We the people must defend our borders.
