Obama to End 'Don't ask, Don't tell' Policy

CBNNews.com - Incoming White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs says Barack Obama will get rid of the controversial "Don't ask, Don't tell" policy on gays in the military.
The policy went into effect during Bill Clinton's presidency. It effectively allowed homosexuals from not disclosing the fact that they are gay. Military commanders couldn't ask about it either.
Click play for more insight from Elaine Donnelly, with the Center for Military Readiness. Click here to listen to the full CBN News Interview with Donnelly about the military policy on gays.
It's not clear when the Obama Administration will move on this, but earlier reports suggest it might not be until next year when Obama presents his bill on this to Congress.

Get Rid of Don’t Ask,
Don’t tell Policy
Elaine Donnelly of the Center for Military Readiness says if the law is repealed we will have a whole new category of misconduct. She doesn't believe this policy will benefit the armed forces in any way.
Donnelly said The Obama Administration will have to realize that a social agenda promised to activists in San Francisco and throughout the campaign, if applied to the military, would have harmful consequences.
