Labor? President Obama has nominated Hilda Solis (D) El Monte/East Los Angeles to be labor secretary.

when Hilda Solis was a State senator in California she supported drivers licenses for illegal immigrants!

In California there are many cities where the majority of the residents are illegal immigrants like the City of Los Angeles, Fresno, El Monte, Monterrey Park, Lynwood and Southgate. When elections are held those illegals make campaign contributions in cash to elect politicians like LA Mayor Antonio Villariagarosa (who was Speaker of the State Assembly before he was termed-out) and Rep. Hida Solis who then represent that districts' shadow constituency.

Now that Hilda Solis is going to be an Obama cabinent member she will again represent the shadow constituents as labor secretary. She voted against incrreased funds to complete the Mexican border fence and voted for financial aid to illegal immigrant college students.
