Will Congress Block Obama Certification?

UPDATE: Are there Members of Congress somewhere out there with the backbone to actually uphold the Constitution and COMPEL BARACK OBAMA TO VERIFY THAT HE IS CONSTITUTIONALLY ELIGIBLE TO BE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES?

Possibly...

In fact, reports recently surfaced that Congressman John Linder of Georgia has the right stuff and expressed his concerns about Obama's eligibility in an e-mail to a constituent:

Apparently, Linder wrote:

“Unfortunately, unless Senator Obama produces the documentation on his own, at this time, there is no way to verify if he is in fact a natural born citizen of the United States.

“... both the U.S. Senate and House shall meet for the purpose of counting and certifying the electoral votes. After the vote has been counted, the President of the Senate shall call for objections. It is at this time that federal officials in both the House and Senate may object to the certification of President-elect Obama by alleging that he fails to meet the constitutional requirements to serve as President of the United States. Please be assured that I will continue to monitor this issue very carefully, and I will act when appropriate and necessary.”

The validity of the quote is NOT presently at issue

But Linder may be back-peddling... waffling.

Former Congressman J.D. Hayworth, told a radio talk show that he spoke to Linder and Linder has no plans, at present, to object.

And as things now stand, it is UNCLEAR whether Linder WILL or WILL NOT object to Obama's certification.

What is clear?

Simply put, we must take immediate action TO CLARIFY THE POINT!

We must demand that our Members of Congress uphold the Constitution and we have to do it QUICKLY because the certification can occur at any time, maybe within hours of your receiving this urgent call to action.

Is Obama Constitutionally Eligible to Be President?

We don't know!

We DO KNOW that Obama can easily answer that question but HAS CONTINUALLY REFUSED to do so!

Article 2, Section 1, of the Constitution of the United States, states, "No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President..."

And that's a problem for Obama because he has continually REFUSED to produce an actual birth certificate to answer the question as to whether he is a "natural born Citizen" OR NOT!

Here's some of the background.

Several months ago, reports surfaced that President-elect Obama's paternal grandmother claimed that she was present at Obama's birth in Mombasa, in what is now Kenya, people started asking questions.

In an apparent effort to refute those reports, a document known as a "Certification of Live Birth" mysterious made its way onto Obama's website.

There was just one problem: the Hawaii "Certification of Live Birth" is TOTALLY INADEQUATE for the purpose of proving that an individual was actually born in the State of Hawaii...

The "Certification of Live Birth" is nothing more than a computer generated printout. It is a totally different document than the "CERTIFICATE [not Certification] of Live Birth." And it is NOT A VALID BIRTH CERTIFICATE!

And why is that important? Two reasons...

First, Hawaii allows a child to be furnished a "Certification of Live Birth" even if the child was NOT born in Hawaii. Specifically, the Statute reads:

"[§338-17.8] Certificates for children born out of State. (a) Upon application of an adult or the legal parents of a minor child, the director of health shall issue a birth certificate for such adult or minor, provided that proof has been submitted to the director of health that the legal parents of such individual while living without the Territory or State of Hawaii had declared the Territory or State of Hawaii as their legal residence for at least one year immediately preceding the birth or adoption of such child."

Moreover, even Hawaii government agencies DO NOT necessarily accept the "Certification of Live Birth" as proof that an individual was born in the state of Hawaii.

The Hawaii Department of Home Lands (DHHL) does NOT accept the Certification of Live Birth - the document that appears on Obama's website.

DHHL states the following on its website:
"In order to process your application, DHHL utilizes information that is found only on the original Certificate of Live Birth, which is either black or green. This is a more complete record of your birth than the Certification of Live Birth (a computer-generated printout). Submitting the original Certificate of Live Birth will save you time and money since the computer-generated Certification requires additional verification by DHHL."

If the State of Hawaii DOES NOT accept a computer printout as proof that an individual was actually born in Hawaii, WHY SHOULD WE!

What's the Big Secret?

That's a good question.

Obama could certainly end this entire controversy - and MORE IMPORTANTLY, SHOW THE AMERICAN PEOPLE THAT HE ACTUALLY RESPECTS THE CONSTITUTION - by simply producing his valid birth certificate.

His refusal only adds fuel to the fire and begs the question: What exactly IS contained on the "Certificate of Live Birth" which is presently under lock and key?

Officials in Hawaii aren't exactly shedding any light on the matter either.

Dr Chiyome Fukino with Hawaii's Department of Health says that she has seen Obama's original vaulted birth certificate. Okay... We know that it exists... BUT WHAT DOES IT TELL US?

Fukino did not say! Specifically Fukino stated:

"Therefore, I as Director of Health for the State of Hawaii, along with the Registrar of Vital Statistics who has statutory authority to oversee and maintain these type of vital records, have personally seen and verified that the Hawaii State Department of Health has Sen. Obama’s original birth certificate on record in accordance with state policies and procedures."

Not only do we NOT know what is contained on the vaulted birth certificate...

... there are several other circumstances and issues that beg the question: Is Obama a "natural born Citizen" as REQUIRED - NOT SUGGESTED - by the Constitution?

What about the college records that Obama refuses to release. Why? Could those records indicate that he received financial aid as a foreign student?

Recently, Dr. Jerome Corsi traveled to Kenya to see if he could find a birth certificate for President-elect Obama, but he was detained by Kenyan officials. Again... Why?

Janet Porter, writing for WorldNetDaily.com, raises even more pressing questions:

"In Hawaii, a Certification of Live Birth is issued within a year of a child's birth to those who register a birth abroad or one that takes place outside a hospital,' she said."

"'There's the matter that Obama traveled to Indonesia, Pakistan, Southern India and Kenya in 1981. He said he went to Indonesia to see his mother. This seemed plausible, except for the fact that his mother returned to Hawaii in August of 1980 to file for a divorce from her second husband, Lolo Soetoro. Unless she went back to pal around with the man she divorced, she wasn't there at the time of Obama's visit," Porter wrote.

"'There's another problem. No record of Obama holding an American passport prior to the one he received once becoming a U.S. senator has been found. If he traveled to Pakistan with an American passport, he wouldn't have been allowed in – since Pakistan was in turmoil in 1981 and under martial law. It was also on the State Department's travel ban list for U.S. citizens,' she wrote.

"'If he couldn't get into Pakistan with a U.S. passport, perhaps he went there with an Indonesian passport. But the only way you can get one of those is if you are an Indonesian citizen.'"

And again, one can not shake President-elect Obama's unwillingness to release an authentic copy of his vaulted birth certificate, nor can it be ignored that President-elect Obama has hired teams of attorneys (not individual attorneys but teams of attorneys) to thwart attempts by third parties to compel him to produce a birth certificate.

The question as to whether President-elect Obama is a "natural born Citizen" is not just significant... it's downright compelling.

And it's a question that MUST be answered!

We're Not Giving Up.

We're not giving up when it comes to compelling Barack Obama to validate that he is even ELIGIBLE TO BE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES!

We can't give up because his REFUSAL to adhere to the letter of the Constitution sets a dangerous precedent.

Our laws and our Constitution must apply to every man, woman and child in the United States.

No man - not even Barack Obama - has the right to reduce the Constitution to a scrap of paper.


What is more important than the Constitution?



If any part of our Constitution can be flagrantly and callously ignored...

If any part of our Constitution can be reduced to a "technicality" that is not worth enforcing...

IS ANY PART OF THE CONSTITUTION VALID ANYMORE?

Are ANY of our Constitutional rights secure?


I believe you already know the answer to that question.
To put it another way, What would happen if the Electoral College and Congress actually allowed an unqualified person to be elected President of the United States, or allowed a person to be elected without verifying that that he or she is qualified?

ANSWER: Our entire form of government could be compromised!

I don't make that statement lightly. It's not an exaggeration.

When the most powerful among us are no longer bound by the Constitution - and, more importantly, when we refuse to hold them accountable - there can be no freedom... no liberty... only unrest... violence... oppression... tyranny... perhaps not tomorrow, but very soon!

Win or lose this battle, we cannot go down without a fight. To do nothing is to send a message to those in high office that we WILL NOT fight for our rights!

And that's the WRONG message!

Something is strange because on Friday night, Ed Hale on Plains Radio announced that Ron Paul has finally agreed to stand with us to "protest" or block Obama's nomination and certification to become the next President of the United States. Was the infomation Ed Hale gave to use incorrect? Did Ron Paul suddenly change his mind within 24 hours?

Would it be possible for the constituent who spoke with Ron Paul to go public with his comments to her? Mr. Paul has put himself in a position of being better than the regular "Party People" and that him being a part of an Independent Party means he stands for honestly in government - he is supposedly different from the rest of them! Well, this sounds like he is just like everyone else we have elected to go to Washington, D.C. Once they get there, they go with the flow in order to stay on good terms with their "fellow" Congressmen. Why is it so hard to find just ONE elected official who will put the country first, instead of themselves? This whole situation is unbelieveable. I am sure our forefathers are rolling over in their graves!

From a conversation of Ron Paul and one constituent(KjTX) of Texas shows the real Ron Paul:
Just got off the phone with Ron Paul... It is with a heavy heart that I must report this...
The (10 minute) conversation was not a good one. I brought up the Constitution, and the 'natural born' issue, and then asked him point blank if he would be willing to submit (or at least support) an objection to the electoral vote certification on Jan 8th.
He said (I'm paraphrasing), "if I did that I'd be laughed out of congress. No one is going to do that. There is no Constitutional law that actually defines 'natural born', so the argument could go on forever with thousands of different interpretations.
The consenses is that he is a US citizen, and therefor eligible."
He also said (paraphrasing), "I understand your concern, but nobody cares. 'They' are willing to let Obama take office, knowing full well he may not be constitutionally qualified. The fact that he supposedly was born in Hawaii is all that matters."
I brought up the Hawaiian practices of registering the birth of children to those who may not have been born in Hawaii (from 1911 to 1972), and he said (again, paraphrasing)
"If that can be proven, then we have a case of fraud, which must be looked at, but in all seriousness, it will never get that far."
So... as far as him helping us on anything, he is not willing at this point.

Essentially, he is "going with the flow", with no desire to be a patriot. All of congress is only concerned with "following the herd".

He also said, "Even if it was proven 110% that Obama is ineligible, it wouldn't make a difference." Nobody wants to step up, it seems. I was almost in tears as we hung up. I am deeply disturbed about this. It seems our only hope now lies in the outcome of the pending lawsuits... Stephen Pidgeon, and Dr Orly are our best shots.

I think after speaking with Congressman Paul, we are barking up the wrong tree, regarding Congressional objections to the electoral vote count.
