Permit me to introduce myself:

I am known nationally as the Texas Patriot for my activism in Texas and nationwide.

I am a 'Constitutional Fundamentalist', a conservative Christian and proud to say it. I have a mind of my own and am not locked in to any political party. I am most often associated with the GOP because of my ideologies, however, the GOP is often to the left of me.

I am a member of the Christian Coalition, Right to Life groups and the conservative coalition.

A short history:

One of the people instrumental in giving Cockrell Hill, Texas' it's first Hispanic government.

Served on the Cockrell Hill City Council in 1989-1990. Served as a member of the board of Los Barrios Unidos Community Clinic for 4 1/2 years.

Served on the Dallas Area Regional Transit community transportation forum.

Served on the Dallas/DART focus group to plan the light rail system.

Published the Cockrell Hill Advocate - a small community paper supporting the city.

Called a 'Peacemaker' by John Yearwood of the Dallas Morning News. (I started that fight!)

Took a leadership role in the creation of the present 14-1 single member district city council arrangement in Dallas and in the redistricting of the judicial precincts in Dallas.

Served on the Duncanville Zoning Board of Adjustments.

Recognized by the U.S. Congress.

Recognized in both houses of the Texas State Legislature.

Recognized by the City of Dallas by Mayor Ron Kirk and Councilman Steve Salazar

Recognized by the City of Cockrell Hill

Recognized by Constable Burl Jernigan for help in combating drugs.

Recognized by the Dallas Independent School District.

Received the Zapata Award for service to the Mexican American Community.

(I have all of theses certificates stashed in a box and stored in my garage. I have pictures of my grand children and drawings made by my daughter and grand-daughter hanging on the wall above my desk. ***** Priorities! *****)

I was a member of President Bush GOP Team Leader project which was instrumental in ensuring his reelection.

Invited to become a member of the Council on National Policy two years ago, but health problems prevented me from accepting. The CNP is a group think tank made up of some of the most dynamic patriots in the USA. Steven Baldwin is the president and great Americans such as Phyllis Schlafly are members. I really wish that I could be a genuine part of this group. I still have a voice with some of the members, but it is not the same as being there.
