THERE IS NO COMMON SENSE IN "COMMON SENSE" GUN CONTROL

The fools, libtards, who spout the "common sense gun control" mantra, have no common sense and even less intelligence!!!!!  They continually spout without any facts to back up their assertions.  If gun control worked Chicago would be the safest city in the nation instead of being America's murder capital.  It is a fact that mass murders are committed in "gun free zones", by moslems and demokrats, not at gun shows where there are hundreds of conservative, armed citizens and thousands of guns.  The lie about criminals buying guns at gun shows and that the "gun show loophole" exists are continually trumpeted by lying politicians and their useful idiot low intelligence dupes.  It has been stated by Senator Diane Feinstein that all veterans are mentally ill and should be banned from owning guns and that lie has been trumpeted by other lying politicians and their useful idiot dupes.  The facts are that there is no "gun show loophole".   I have bought all of my guns at gun shows and have gone through a background check each and every time, going back many years.

the trade association for the firearms and ammunition
industry, represents federally licensed firearms
manufacturers, distributors and retail dealers. Proponents
of gun control have perpetuated the myth that there is a
“gun show loophole” in current law.
Licensed retailers must follow the same regulations and
procedures, including conducting criminal background
checks, when conducting business at gun shows just as
they would if at their store or other place of business.
Claim: There is a gun show “loophole.”
Fact:
There is no gun show loophole.
Most of the vendors at gun shows — up to 75 percent
— are licensed dealers.
i
If you are a licensed firearms
dealer, you are allowed to sell at gun shows in your own
state. However, all the same rules apply. You must run
a federal background check on any individual you sell
a firearm to through the FBI’s National Instant Criminal
Background Check System (NICS). The same paperwork,
recordkeeping, age restrictions, and other rules also apply,
as if the sale occurred in the dealer’s place of business.
Further, only a small percentage of tables at gun shows,
about 20 to 25 percent, actually sell firearms. The others
sell books, accessories or other items.
Claim: The law allows unlicensed dealers to sell guns at
gun shows.
Fact:
Unlicensed dealers are criminals.
It is true that a background check and other regulations
do not apply if you are an individual that wishes to
occasionally sell a firearm from your personal collection
in a private transaction. This bright line is clearly
delineated in current law. If an individual is “engaged in
the business” of selling firearms, they must be licensed.
This is defined as, “a person who devotes time, attention
and labor to dealing in firearms as a regular course of
trade or business with the principal objective of livelihood
and profit through the repetitive purchase and resale of
firearms.”
ii
Under existing law, unlicensed dealers that fit this
description and sell firearms at gun shows (or anywhere
else) are breaking the law.
In practice, federal law is just the floor of restrictions
on gun shows. Many gun show promoters require that
all vendors leasing space at a show, including private
parties, must agree to run background checks, regardless
of whether they hold federal licenses or not. The vast
majority of guns sold at gun shows go through federal
background checks.
Further, in several states there is another layer of regulation
as some states require background checks as part of all
private firearms transactions. Background checks for private
firearm sales are required in seventeen states.
Claim: Criminals get their guns at gun shows.
Fact:
According to a November 2001 study by the U.S.
Department of Justice of state and prison inmates, less
than one percent (0.7) of criminals that possessed a
firearm during their current offense acquired their guns
from gun shows.
iii
By contrast, nearly 40 percent reported
acquiring their guns illegally, such as by theft.
This is unsurprising when considering that other research
suggests that while imposing additional gun show
regulations does reduce the
number of gun shows in a

state, there is no evidence these laws reduce violent

all of your points are exactly true but libtards never let facts overcome their childish emotional "feelings".  those of us with any sense know the truth and it matters to us.  as I stated, if gun control worked Chicago would be a violence free utopia of serenity but it isn't so that one city proves our case!!!!!

'SNL': Amy Schumer episode mocks gun enthusiasts with firearms ad

http://www.cnn.com/2015/10/11/entertainment/snl-schumer-guns-thr-fe...

Yeah that's chuckie's niece!

Two Wis. legislators, Rep. Jesse Kremer (R), and State Senator Devin LeMahieu (R), have introduced a bill that will revoke an exception of the State's conceal carry law that allows tech schools and University Wisconsin System to ban guns inside their buildings.  Right now, license holders can carry guns on the grounds, but cannot take them inside.  Doesn't make much sense - if they are heading to class, they'd have to return their gun before entering. Silly. Anyway, I'm supporting this.

By the way, anyone happen to visit the Social Security offices during the last several years? I had to a few years ago and was very surprised and Angry because there sat an armed and nasty huge buffoon. Because this was my first time at the office, I asked him about what I should do to get some information. He was very abrupt and told me to go sit down - he wasn't a receptionist. A elderly gal sitting there told me what to do. She said that you have to go over to the far wall, pick up the instructions needed for what you were needing to do, and them hand in the paperwork. After filling out everything asked for. Then you had to wait for someone to call you.  Why that guard couldn't have told me that, without showing off his arms, was beyond me.   So, if these federal offices can be armed, so can our kids - enough already.

if the state sees me as not a danger to carry a gun into a grocery store, why would I be a danger in a school, or anywhere else for that matter?  the federal government, politicians and bureaucrats, see themselves as royalty and We the People as nuisance serfs to be ignored or sneered at because we don't deserve to be noticed, much less served.  Our kids are much more important, precious, and valuable than a bunch of arrogant, over paid slugs and should be protected.

This is history - before we had Gov. Walker. The Legislature called a committee about passing a bill on guns that would prempt local rules/regulations - like Madison. If you drove through Madison on your way to a hunting spot and you had your guns, or even just a few shells, you could be arrested. That was Paul Soglin and his cronies. Anyway, as an NRA member I was asked to come speak at the committee meeting.  We were each given 5 minutes. First up was Paul Soglin and he talked about what the state of Virginia did about gun control. Bad.  Shortly after, I was given my five minutes, As I started to speak, one of the committee members got up and left the room. I first asked that if I spoke for less than 5 minutes, would they pass the bill on? Got a laugh, but no promise. Anyway, I started to tell my story of why the bill was right, first off we lived an hour out from Madison, and HWY 12 was scheduled for upgrading. I said that, you know, if this bill is passed, the HWY wouldn't have to be fixed - gun owners would start buying gun supplies in Madison, instead of driving out to our town..   I finished up just as the member returned.  I mentioned that though Paul Soglin thought Virginia's laws were right for Wisconsin, This Virginia was supporting the Wisconsin bill. And that snide little person who came back wanted to know why I brought up Virginia. Because that's my name!  He shut up, the little bug. Anyway, we won. The bill was sent through and was passed. And Madison had to open up it's doors.   The reason I mentioned this, is as a much younger, rather shy person, I finally got smart and started to stand up for what I believed.  And now, sometimes, my husband wishes I'd be quiet.

Good for you!!!!!!!!!!!!  the leftists want us to feel intimidated so we will sit down and shut up.  tspeaking out is necessary if we want to get our liberty back, keep ai it and let your husband get over it.  God Bless you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just had to write to the Editor last night. The Wis. State Journal only allows a writer to submit one every 30 days.  I will have to watch if this one gets printed in the opinion page. The reason? A gal wrote in and wanted gun stores to be regulated like Abortion clinics.

This was in response to a prior post that stated "Abortion is more deadly that guns".  So Here's her letter:

"Gun buyers should be forced to wait 48 hours, compelled to undergo a medically unnecessary procedure, have a doctor describe the consequences of gun ownership, and face relentless legislative attacks on their right to own guns.

Gun stores should be subjected to burdensome laws that force many to close for failure to comply. This will oblige the prospective gun buyer to drive hundreds of miles to purchase a gun.

Fake gun stores should be built across from the few remaining authentic gun stores and staffed by anti-gun zealots who have no interest in helping the gun buyer actually obtaining a gun. They will then proceed to tell the gun buyer that guns will make them mentally ill and give them cancer.

Prior to walking into the gun store, the gun buyer should be required to walk through a crowd of anti-gun fanatics screaming at them that they are murderers and that God does not want them to do this.  Totally fair."

I didn't address all of her rant, but tried to keep it within the No. of words allowed. Wonder why she was able to use more words.

Here it is: Just read a really sad letter to the editor.
Treat gun stores the same as planned parenthood facilities. Really? Where has this person been, gun stores have been under scads and scads of regulations for years; while Planned Parenthood has taxpayer money paid to them.  Pres. Clinton was a big one for anti-gun stores; George Soros and Bloomberg too.
Soros' Everytown group for one,  attacks and threatens anyone who differs in their opinion of gun control. Guess trying to enter a gun store through their anti-gun protest mobs - screaming threats and physically abusing customers is OK.  But not if that action is directed at abortion clinics - which doesn't happen.  It appears that persons who believe the anti-abortion groups are mean and violent, believe the anti-gun protesters are just standing up for what they believe. Just another double standard.

Want to speak out against Gun Control and Government overreach? Here are listings of E-mail addresses of the media. They are not intended to be used separately. Their intent is to pick one for the main addressee line, and the rest in the BCC line. Since there are limits to how many characters that can be posted I'll have to set them out in parts.
