Fox is part of mainstream media, it is only conservative when Murdoch needs the ratings/money.
I notice that when they get everyone good and fooled they lean LEFT. Propaganda is propaganda no matter what channel it is on.
I never considered Fox to be part of the mainstream media. By my definition, mainstream media is liberal owned and liberal driven, with the agenda of electing democrats. The big boys are New York Times and WashPost, and then ABC, NBC. and CBS. All others follow their lead.
Fox's agenda is to make money, of course, by practicing good journalism, which means presenting both points of view. And when the biggest leftie - NYT - goes too far overboard, pointing it out the listeners. And the left hates them.
Fox is owned by Rupert Murdoch a globalist who was giddy over Obama when he was elected.
I did not realize you were not familiar with him. Please research him.
Quote:
Although he is usually described as (and demonized by the political left as) a political conservative, there is little evidence that he has any firm political or moral convictions that could be described as “conservative” in the conventional sense. While Murdoch’s Fox News is famous (or infamous) for ranting commentators who toe the Republican line and serve as herders to keep the GOP’s core constituency (pro-life, pro-gun, pro-family, fiscally conservative, small government) within the party, his global tabloid-TV-movie-entertainment conglomerate is always on the cutting edge of breaking taboos: profanity, sexually explicit material, pornography, violence, crudity.
Moreover, he is a big fan of Communist China, is giddy over Obama, gives campaign contributions to Hillary Clinton and other far-left Democrats, and is a committed globalist who has now become more green than Al Gore:
• Embracing Communist China
Murdoch has continually kowtowed to the communist rulers in Beijing — censoring news, and favoring the regime over its victims, as in the cases of the persecuted Falun Gong, imprisoned Christians, and the ongoing genocidal occupation of Tibet.
• Giddy Over Obama
Some of Murdoch’s Obamamania gushing: "He is a rock star. It's fantastic" "I love what he is saying about education." "I am anxious to meet him."
• Supporting Hillary and Other Far-left Democrats:
Murdoch hosted a fundraiser for Hillary Clinton’s campaign, and the Murdoch-owned “conservative” New York Post endorsed her bid for the Senate over conservative Republican John Spencer, who was pro-life, pro-marriage, pro-economic growth, and pro-Second Amendment. Murdoch has also given campaign contributions to other far-left Democrats including Rep. Harold Ford.
• Global Greenie
It is Murdoch’s recent conversion to extreme environmentalism that may be the most pertinent indicator of the meaning of his remarks about the alteration and redefinition of nations. In 2006, The Weather Channel, which has gone bonkers over fears of global warming, praised Murdoch for his remarkable climate-change epiphany. The Weather Channel’s One Degree Climate Change blog wrote:
Conservative media mogul Rupert Murdoch's conversion from a climate change skeptic to a proponent of emissions cuts would likely win him the year's most improved award from environmentalists. His views reflect a growing trend in the business world to go "green" by improving environmental credentials and factoring climate change into boardroom decisions.

Murdoch is DISGUSTING! I am sure when they got together they HAD a GOOD laugh at our expense!
@Love of Country:
To repeat, Fox's agenda is to make money. Murdoch, businessman first and foremost, is targeting the huge middle class with FoxNews which is a model of journalism when compared to NYT or WashPost or NBC or etc. In effect, he found a void which the liberal media neglected. That is good business.
And like Trump maintains, it is good business to support financially those in power. If you don't, they can make your life miserable very quick. And you spread your bets to cover more contingencies. So, it's doesn't bother me at all that he gave money to democrats.
In 2008 of course he was praising Obama. In his shoes I would have done the same if I was a running a huge business. He wanted to meet him, and he had to say the mushy things to get his attention. In case you forgot, Obama fooled many people in big places, people very knowledgable in their fields, but too trusting politically. Why? Because they never encountered a being like Obama before.
Conversion to climate change? Your quote says he is a "proponent of emission cuts". So am I. Emmision is primarily pollution and nothing to do with human cause of global warming. Since Obama us doling out money to industries who will provide "green" jobs, why not get a piece of the action?
But FoxNews very effectively neutralizes the forces of the left in academia/media complex. They regularly take NYT stories apart, telling us how they are distorting or lying. And NYT counterattacks by writing bad stories about Murdoch. What you wrote is also a bad story about Murdoch, not FoxNews.
You are only as good as who is above you, Globalist Murdoch owns Fox so to put full faith in Fox is not wise IMO. Fox has had it fair share of propaganda, if you research what they report. They many times play the usual leftist games and were playing them with Trump until he shut them down.
Murdoch is a globalist and owner of alot of media in different countries. He directs Fox News where he wants it to go and when it suits him he fills the agenda of whoever pays his price. Common sense for me prevails on this one. We can agree to disagree.
No offense but only the clueless or a leftist would think Obama was great even back then if they did their homework on him. There were red flags all over about him to those who were observant and the way he came out of nowhere with so much propaganda attached it was obvious he was a puppet.
@Love of Country: I have been watching Fox for years regularly and haven't seen or heard anything "Globalist" in their opinion segments. When global politics are mentioned at all, usually they are against it and have been knocking UN frequently and critical of European socialist models.
Their own fair share of propoganda? Name one, please. I don't recall hearing anything serious. Leftist games? They often present two people, one liberal and one conservative, and the viewer hears both. That is not playing leftist games.
They weren't playing any leftist games with Trump; I heard every word of the first debate and the Megyn/Trump dust up and saw nothing wrong or liberal about it. In fact, I thought it was good for Trump to be tested by FoxNews in an adverserial manner - he will be facing sheer hell if he wins and runs against Hillary.
I don't judge Murdoch by what I hear on FoxNews at all. However, if I did, I would judge Murdoch as being on my side. Obama just great back then? Like, in early 2008?? Yeah, back in Feb. 2008 I told my wife that if Obama wins, this country will be up sh**t's creek. Yet I heard most of his opponents and many of my friiends praising him. Only later all had to recant. So, as far as I am concerned, Murdoch was going with the flow. Obviously he was wrong.
I thoroughly enjoy when FoxNews attacks New York Times, and see NYT and their followers furious and claiming Fox to be pure propoganda. In their comments section I pointed out to the lefties that the editorial content of FoxNews is much more erudite than that of NYT editorial staff. And from them I get the same hell I am getting form you. But no problem; no offense taken. I will continue watching them and now will start thinking that perhaps TeaParty doesn't like them. This will make my viewing more interesting.
Oh yeah, one thing that endeared me to FoxNews was when Obama tried to shut them down.

Hispanic hate group La Raza (“The Race”) accused NBC of giving them a “slap in the face” for inviting Donald Trump to guest host “Saturday Night Live” in November.
The open borders group does not want Trump allowed on television because he is a vocal critic of illegal immigration.
The Washington Times reported:
The National Council of La Raza accused NBC and its iconic show “Saturday Night Live” of becoming a platform of “hate” for inviting Republican presidential candidate Donald J. Trump to host the program on Nov. 7.
Janet Murgia, president of the NCLR, said she expected better out of a network that over the summer severed ties with Mr. Trump after he announced his campaign with a vow to get tough on illegal immigrants, and accused Mexico of sending rapists and other bad elements to the U.S.
This is a slap in the face to the millions of Hispanic viewers who watch SNL, NBC, and the rest of the NBC/Universal family. We urge that SNL and NBC re-consider this ill-advised decision,” Ms. Murguia said in a statement.
She said the program has only had one Hispanic cast member in its history, and never had a female Hispanic, yet all the while “engaged in Latina stereotyping over the years, and has brushed aside our community’s concerns when we have pointed that out.”

Donald can't catch a break! They are always after him!!!! Its all that truth telling he does!
Yeah all those hate groups sure do hold it against him. Glad he don't CARE!
There will be more attacks directed against him as he continues on. The left fears him so they are going to be coming at him from all directions.
