'I'm prepared to meet her wherever she wants to meet. She can pick a VA facility'
We have 3 VA hospital/homes that I'm aware of - King, Wi., Tomah, WI., and one near Milwaukee, Wi.
We just visited King this weekend - my husband's brother was given a tour of that facility and has decided that he will become a residence there - may be a few months, but that will give his daughter some time to get items that he can use when he transfers there. This facility is wonderful - but it is more a senior living arrangement site, than a hospital. Though hospital care is also available. They have fishing, boating, bowling, bus trips, stores nearby (within 2/3 miles) and some family facilities nearby. They have special activities, woodworking, ceramics, painting, and such. And the persons in administration and caring for the residents are also former veterans or family members of veterans. So they care.
Then we have Tomah. This is an actual hospital and that is where several veterans were over drugged and died. This went on for years, and many voices passed on issues about this - to Senator Tammy Baldwin or her assistants. Back in 2012, one person kept trying to get help, this person finally came forward. She actually worked for Baldwin. Guess what, she has been let go, but offered lots of extra money. She has filed a lawsuit. Not sure where it's at right now. Anyway, it finally came out that almost all of the patients there were over prescribed - mostly to keep them calm - sedated is my thought. This has been known since 2010, and finally came out in 2014. But still, nothing really has been done to correct the problems - though the Dr. have either quit or retired. Since this kind of bad medicine is going on in Phoenix, and Tomah, it certainly is going on all over the country. So, Hillary, Dillary - you haven't a clue, or you don't care. Which is it???
The VA hospital situation needs to be looked into thoroughly. There are some really bad ones. The ones who have given the most deserve the best care IMO.

The next time a progressive tells you socialism works, just point to Germany, Sweden, Greece, the Netherlands and the rest of Europe which is failing in the global economy.
In this new study, it turns out that if European countries were to become states in America, they’d be among the poorest in the country, even surpassing Mississippi.
Since Sweden is held up as a sort of promised land by American socialists, let’s compare it first. We find that, if it were to join the US as a state, Sweden would be poorer than all but 12 states, with a median income of $27,167.
Median residents in states like Colorado ($35,830), Massachusetts ($37,626), Virginia ($39,291), Washington ($36,343), and Utah ($36,036) have considerably higher incomes than Sweden. With the exception of Luxembourg ($38,502), Norway ($35,528), and Switzerland ($35,083), all countries shown would fail to rank as high-income states were they to become part of the United States. In fact, most would fare worse than Mississippi, the poorest state.
For example, Mississippi has a higher median income ($23,017) than 18 countries measured here. The Czech Republic, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Korea, Poland, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain, and the United Kingdom all have median income levels below $23,000 and are thus below every single US state. Not surprisingly, the poorest OECD members (Chile, Mexico, and Turkey) have median incomes far below Mississippi.
Please Bernie Sanders, tell us more about how great socialism is.

The hosts on The View today got all giddy for Socialist Bernie Sanders.
Once upon a time, Americans understood the destruction and suffering under a Socialist system. Today Democrats, not only embrace Socialism, but open Socialist Bernie Sanders is leading in several polls over Hillary Clinton.
Today crazy Bernie went on “The View” to spew his class warfare. Sanders refused to attack Hillary Clinton but attacked big money Republicans. He also slammed the current state of the economy. It’s as if Democrats have no idea that Obama has been running the economy into the dirt the last seven years.
Good grief!

On October 6, National Public Radio (NPR) debunked Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton’s claim that gun manufacturers are “totally free of liability for their behavior
If Rep. Paul Ryan is looking for more support in his quest to be Speaker of the House of Representatives, he may–or may not–want to look further than progressive media outlet Media Matters. It appears to have his back versus Conservative radio host Mark Levin, who simply went through Ryan’s actual record on his October 23 radio show.
As he’s trying to firm up his sagging donor network, Jeb Bush’s campaign team is making it clear they view Sen Marco Rubio as his chief threat. So the Bush squad plans to start taking the battle to his fellow Floridian.

Who knew that it should have been Donald Trump extracting just such a loyalty pledge from Republican bigs?
In a stunning admission of just how wildly out of touch they are from actual, breathing human voters, GOP establishment insiders say that if Mr. Trump continues his unfettered march to the Republican nomination they will go to war to take him out.

The left chortled on Monday after learning the results of a new Gallup poll showing an all-time low for Tea Party support. According to Gallup, just 17 percent of Americans say they support the Tea Party, with 24 percent calling
