In remarks delivered at the East Asia Summit in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Russian Prime Minister Dmitri Medvedev accused the United States of aiding the growth of the Islamic State group by focusing on regime change in Syria instead of defeating terrorism.

According to Interfax (via Bloomberg News), Medvedev said Sunday that the Islamic State’s rise “became possible partly due to irresponsible U.S. politics” which were aimed at deposing Syrian leader Bashar al-Assad.

Medvedev’s comments come on the heels of comments made by Obama at the same meeting earlier in the day, in which he said it was time for the Russians to fall in line behind the American strategy of regime change in Syria (which, as we know, has done wonders so far in reducing the power of the “JV team”).

“It is not conceivable that Mr. Assad can regain legitimacy in a country in which a large majority of that country despises Assad, and will not stop fighting so long as he’s in power,” Obama said.

“Russia has not officially committed to a transition of Assad moving out but they did agree to a political transition process,” Obama added. “And I think we’ll find out over the next several weeks whether or not we can bring about that change in perspective with the Russians.”

I don’t know whether to think that it’s darkly humorous or pathologically insane that Barack Obama thinks it’s the United States’ place to tell Russia to fall in line behind America’s decisions.

After all, Barack Obama has all but abdicated the area, pulling out troops and giving little support. Obama’s restrictive engagement rules have led to an estimated 75 percent of American airstrikes against the Islamic State group coming back without dropping their ordnance.

Now that Obama’s inattention has let the Islamic State group fester and grow, Russia has to solve the problem for us. No wonder they’re fed up with Barack Obama — after all, he’s the one that made the mess they’re cleaning up.

That 75% of US missions not dropping bombs was also stated bt American Pilots who charged they were stopped from dropping their bombs on known targets by Orders from Obama's White House. That and many other things lead me to believe that what the Russians said is true and what Obama says is Lies as usual.

Has anyone seen an article about these pilots being arrested? I thought I saw something, but then couldn't find any other item about it.  Think it was that they were considered traitors for talking against the President.
