Obama Justice Department Laughed Off Armed New Black Panther Threat
In 2009 and 2010, lawyers working at the United States Justice Department warned top Obama political appointees and other Justice Department officials about the dangerous threats of New Black Panthers to kill police officers and other whites. I was one of those lawyers who delivered those warnings.
Our warnings came in the context of the Voting Rights Act case I and other lawyers brought against the New Black Panthers on behalf of the United States in 2009, a case the Obama administration ultimately abandoned. Both top DOJ officials, including now Labor Secretary Tom Perez, as well as rank and file employees in the Civil Rights Division, were warned but did not take the New Black Panther threat seriously or otherwise considered the organization to be a laughable joke.
Allies in the media echoed the narrative that the defendants in the voter intimidation case were harmless clowns.

Lawyer says it was not race. He added it was about the presence of a gun....To me it sounds like Manslaughter 1
I watched Donald Trump's speech about the shootings, I thought he gave it in a very presidential way and manner. It should lift his ratings
I hope your right Ozzie, We need real leadership, and you can not lead when you are putting to much emphasis on Political Correctness. Our Country needs some Morally Right leadership.
Is killing morally right?
Jack,
Only under highly specific circumstances is it moral i.e Executing a serial child molester / killer after a trial finds them guilty and the sentence is death, killing a shooter to prevent the shooter from killing innocents, killing a suicide bomber before he or she can detonate the bomb in a crowd of innocents, Someone actively trying to kill you or your loved ones but the threat must be imminent, in some instances to save the life of an innocent but again the threat must be imminent, etc. Highly Specific instances ; Like but not restricted to those specified..
It is never morally right to kill another human unless it is in self defense or in the defense of another persons life. It maybe legal under the circumstances you put forth but not morally right.
I did not use the morally right reference to the shooting. I was explaining Mr. Trump`s nature.
M I understand that is your position and I respect your position but I too have a position also, that is all I am expressing. We have a difference of opinion which means both our valid opinions.
Politics has become the catalyst - A President who doesn't care about America, a terrorist group calling themselves BLM(Black Lives Matter) and do not care about Blacks or others, legal American citizens are using African-American, or Asian American, or Cuban-American or other American to describe themselves - why. They are citizens of America and should be proud to say "I AM AN AMERICAN." If you are an American citizen, proclaim it.
I don't go around saying I'm Norwegian-American. My grandparents - both from Norway never referred to themselves as Norwegian-Americans after they earned their citizenship.
This white, black, Asian, Native stuff needs to stop. Either you are an American, or should consider finding another country to fit your needs.
In Wisconsin, there is a town that has enacted a program that may be a start on solving this Blacks versus Cops violence. It's been in the works for just short time, (couple years, I believe). The town has set up a program where cops can earn special discounts for their family in the purchase of a home. The homes are situated within a community and the policeman would become part of that community. The officer within this community would be involved in the day by day activities, families in the area would know the officer and his family. The children would also be exposed to law in a more positive way.
In Madison, WI., when I grew up, this was happening a lot. We knew who the cops were in our area, and they knew us - they also knew those who were troublemakers. Life was A-OK back then, but not now. Madison is almost as bad as Chicago and Milwaukee. Sure am glad to be out of that city.
(I could name the town, but don't want to jeopardize it's progress.)
