Citizens Dedicated To Preserving Our Constitutional Republic
by Dan Sanchez
Many liberals passed sentence on the Citizens for Constitutional Freedom (CCF) weeks ago. The cowboys occupying the Malheur Wildlife Refuge headquarters in Oregon were criminals. Even worse, they were culturally unsympathetic criminals. “Y’all Qaeda,” was the taunt of choice for the smart set, which rocked with laughter when enterprising wags delivered sex toys to the squares.
Yet when they put joking aside, many progressives called for these “militants” to be dealt with as “the terrorists they were”: lethally and with extreme prejudice. Besides, many said, the right-wing nuts were probably a bunch of Islamophobic racists.
The law-and-order left got what they wanted on Tuesday of last week, when several CCF members were ambushed on the road by the FBI and Oregon State Police. CCF spokesman LeVoy Finicum was shot and killed, and the rest were arrested (some after also being shot). The killing was met mostly with approval or shrugs from progressives on social media.
One notable exception was Anonymous, which released a video declaring that:
“…Finicum was killed in cold blood, as his hands were in the air. Just as Anonymous called for justice in the killing of Michael Brown we call for justice now.”
Indeed, it was the police killing of Michael Brown in Ferguson that first popularized the protest slogan, “Hands Up, Don’t Shoot,” which has been chanted by many of the same liberals now justifying Finicum being shot with his empty hands in the air.
During the Ferguson unrest however, the law-and-order right would have none of it. To them, Michael Brown was just a “thug,” a known criminal who had recently shaken down a store. If he didn’t want to get shot, he shouldn’t have resisted a cop, thought many of the same conservatives now outraged over the bloody government response to CCF’s armed defiance.
Both sides reduce all questions of justice to identity politics, and effectively treat rights as a sympathy-based concept.
For the left, Michael Brown was a sympathetic figure (an underserved youth of color), so he had Fourth and Fifth Amendment rights which were violated by Officer Darren Wilson. On the other hand, LaVoy Finicum was an unsympathetic figure (a right-wing, gun-owning good ‘ol boy), and a potential threat, so he was fair game to be gunned down in the snow.
For the right, LaVoy Finicum was a sympathetic figure (a God-fearing family man), so he had Fourth and Fifth Amendment rights which were violated by the FBI. On the other hand, Michael Brown was an unsympathetic figure (a young, black “thug”), and a potential threat, so he was fair game to be gunned down in the street.
Both are blinded by their respective bigotries to the truth that rights are inherent to the individual, and are not based on group identity or cultural affinity.
Nobody should be gunned down in the road like a rabid dog, regardless of whether the individual is a pillar of his community or a hardened criminal, a philanthropic saint or an incorrigible misanthrope. Every individual has an inalienable right to life: a right not to be killed unless that individual is presenting an imminent threat to the life of someone else.
And violence is only self-defense, if such an imminent threat is real. There are no “oopsies” allowed: not for cops, for Feds, or for anybody else. Killing someone is not “self-defense” just because you “thought” a threat existed.
And it doesn’t matter how paranoid their officer training has made them. It doesn’t matter how many times they’ve practiced with “No More Hesitation” targets with pictures of children, pregnant women, and elderly folk pointing guns at them. Murder is murder.

Feds Drops All Charges against Pete Santilli in Oregon Malheur Case Tim Brown — September 7, 2016
For one, I'm very happy to discover the news that the charges against alternative media reporter Pete Santilli in the Oregon Malheur Wildlife Reserve case have been dropped.
KOIN reports:
In a filing on Tuesday, US Attorney Billy J. Williams said prosecutors decided not to pursue charges against Santilli because of "this Court's pretrial evidentiary rulings excluding evidence against" him.
The charges were dismissed without prejudice, which means it is as though the action had never been filed.
"It's been our position since the beginning that Pete had innocent intentions here," Santilli's lawyer Tom Coan told KOIN 6 News. "He never encouraged anyone to go out and stay at the refuge."
The Las Vegas Review and Journal adds:
The dismissal came at the request of federal prosecutors in Portland who acknowledged in court papers that they no longer had enough evidence to pursue their case against conservative radio talk show host Pete Santilli. Prosecutors cited rulings that barred them from presenting some of their evidence.
"Based upon this Court's pretrial evidentiary rulings excluding evidence against Santilli (ECF No. 1171), the government has decided that the interests of justice do not support further pursuit of these charges against Santilli," wrote US Attorney Billy J. Williams.
Awww, their evidence wasn't admitted? Poor babies. Perhaps, they should try acknowledging who is actually committing the crimes on land that, according the Constitution, belongs to the people of the State of Oregon.
However, this does not mean that Santilli is completely off the hook just yet. He is being transported to Nevada where he is facing trumped up charges from the 2014 Bundy Ranch siege in Bunkerville, Nevada.
"He looks forward to focusing 100 percent of his time defending the charges here in Nevada," Santilli attorney Chris Rasmussen said Tuesday.
Ammon Bundy's former attorney Mike Arnold added that he believes the trial on what he refers to as "thought crimes" will be a long one.
"We don't have thought crimes in America. You need, typically, overt acts to accompany speech in order to make it past First Amendment muster," Arnold said. "In this case, the government is claiming that the possession of firearms on the property was such an overt act and the protesters are presumably going to say, 'you know, we have a right to open carry.'"
Frankly, the entire federal case is a lot of unconstitutional trumped up charges not only against Santilli, but everyone involved. The feds attacked Santilli's freedom of the press and many protesters freedom of speech in Nevada and in Oregon. Furthermore, they continue to coverup their unconstitutional claims to the land in western states and through the union.
EXCELLENT work Virginia.
You are a true patriot.
"Silence in the face of tyranny is your consent to that tyranny"
Remember Jack didn`t like the way Pete wore his hat.LOL....Santilli is a Patriot.

Government dismissed the case against Pete Santilli
Tim Brown — September 22, 2016
Court documents now prove that Mark McConnell, the man who was allegedly arrested the day LaVoy Finicum was murdered and claimed he was not an informant, was a government informant.
Oregon Live reported:
Mark McConnell, the driver of the Jeep that Ammon Bundy was riding in before his arrest on Jan. 26, was a government informant who had tipped off law enforcement about the occupation leaders' trip out of the wildlife refuge, according to court testimony Wednesday.
Oregon State Police Trooper Jeremiah Beckert said that McConnell provided information about the occupiers' vehicles, their location and a basic threat assessment, leading to the high-risk traffic stop on U.S. 395 about 4 p.m. that same day.
Beckert was in an unmarked police pickup truck, waiting in a Sno-Park off the rural road, when he saw a white Dodge pickup belonging to occupation spokesman Robert "LaVoy" Finicum and a Jeep go by, northbound. He activated the lights on his truck and hit the siren a few times as he moved in behind the Jeep.
Beckert, testifying in the federal trial against Ammon Bundy and six co-defendants stemming from the 41-day occupation of the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge in Harney County, described the traffic stop, and the arrest of Ammon Bundy and Brian Cavalier from the Jeep. He also spoke of the subsequent arrests of Ryan Bundy and Shawna Cox after Finicum's truck sped off to avoid a police roadblock and crashed into a snowbank down the road.
In case anyone forgot, McConnell made a video following Finicum's murder and the arrest of several of the occupiers. Here it is:
McConnell's claims at that time were questioned as he some of the things he said he would have had no knowledge of from his vantage point. Even we questioned whether he was an informant.
Now we know for sure that he was selling out his alleged friends as government lapdog.
In the latest news out of Las Vegas, Nevada concerning the Cliven Bundy case, in which numerous defendants' freedom and liberty itself is at stake, the defendants have claimed that the DC government has tampered with video evidence from the Bureau of Land Management in the case and is hiding that by not disclosing the discovery to the American people.
Guerilla Media Network reports:
Defendants in the case of United States vs Cliven Bundy et al.. are accusing the BLM [Bureau of Land Management] and the FBI of altering dashboard and body-cam video in an attempt to cover-up their aggressiveness during the 2014 protest that led to the arrest of Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy and 18 others.
Defendants are also accusing the FBI "infiltration team" who posed as a documentary film crew called Long Bow, of editing video at crucial moments to make defendants who gave interviews look guilty of crimes they did not commit.
On at least 5 different occasions the defendants in the case say that video used to gain their indictments and create the Governments narrative that has kept them all in jail pending trial, was clearly altered at crucial moments to hide what they believe would expose the BLM as the aggressors and not the "victims" as Prosecutor Steven Myhre contends.
We have found at least 5 different clear cases of evidence tampering and have only viewed 1/4 of the discovery that was recently released to us by the Prosecutors office say defendants, who have begun the process of creating a power point demonstration that will be viewed by defense attorneys on October 7, 2016.
On April 9th, 2014 a video was released by Guerrilla Media Network [Pete Santilli] that showed the brutal tazing of Cliven Bundy's Son, Ammon Bundy. During that protest there was also a vicious attack by a BLM agent on Margaret Houston, a 57 year old cancer survivor and Cliven Bundy's sister. It was not until Fox News picked up the video and aired it live the following morning on the program Fox and Friends, that people from across the Nation felt compelled to pack up and come to Bundy Ranch in protest of the aggressive attack on the family. While the defendants are not allowed to disclose what was said by BLM agents leading up to the attack on protestors, they allege that at least 5 seconds of audio recorded during the protest on April 9th, was altered by the BLM to cover-up what BLM agents actually said.
Defendants also stated, that BLM video shot during the protest on April 12th, 2014 – of protestors that accompanied Ammon Bundy to retrieve cattle Sheriff Douglas Gillespi said could be released, was again altered to omit some of what Daniel P. Love and other agents were communicating back and forth to one another.
One video, which was captured by the ranchers, we reported on previously of the BLM setting fires within a hundred yards of personal property and cattle. The video shows the burning of cattle and buildings, both of which are criminal.
Nevada Assemblywoman Michele Fiore produced a short video to speak about the failure to disclose what the BLM actually said on both video and audio recordings regarding their thoughts of murdering innocent protesters and animals at the Bundy Ranch back in 2014.
Fiore mentioned some of the comments made by the BLM that were not altered, such as:
BLM joking about which peaceful protesters they were going to kill
BLM talking about which horse they would put down first
BLM joking about which human they were going to put down first
BLM joked about making Bunkerville bigger than Waco by a hundred times
Then there is footage from the BLM that has obviously been altered, in which several minutes of footage is missing (1 to 4 minutes). What is the purpose of the video if you are allowed to turn it off or edit it as you see fit? What good does that do?
Additionally, Fiore mentioned body cam and dash cam video evidence that is being kept from the American people where the BLM literally beat Dave Bundy and kidnapped him. This is all being withheld from the public.
Tell me something America, would you sit there and be entertained by it, like you are your politics? Or would you act and demand that the BLM agents involved, every member of the FBI, judges and anyone at the local level or at the federal level be immediately arrested and tried for their crimes?
Fiore then gave kudos to Sheriff Doug Gillespie and undersheriff Mr. Roberts, along with the Las Vegas Metro Police for standing alongside the Bundys and the protesters.
She then said that if you are part of a media outlet to get this information out to the public to email her at Michele@votefiore.com.
In closing, Deb Jordan adds, "We believe if the public could hear and see what the BLM was saying and doing for the duration of the protest, before and leading up to the BLM confronting the protestors by threatening lethal force, the narrative would go back to what it was initially about and that is that a Government agency was violating the civil rights of a rancher and his family and those of the people who came to protest the brutality of it."
"Magistrate Peggy Leen enforces an order that tells the public, you may scrutinize and repeat all of the bad stuff the defendants said on social media but you are not allowed to see and repeat all the bad stuff the BLM was doing and saying behind the scenes that led up to such a passionate protest by the defendants and other protestors," she concluded.
It's time to demand transparency in this case. If you are willing to do so, please contact the following and cite your demands that they open up the discovery to the public.
