The Dutch Tulip Bubble of 1637
The later part of the 20th century saw its share of odd financial bubbles. There was the real-estate bubble, the stock market bubbles, and the dot com bubble, just to name a few. In each instance of price inflation people paid exorbitant amounts for things that shouldn’t have been worth anything like the going price. And each time people stood around afterwards and said “What were we thinking?”

One has to believe that the same thought occurred to the Dutch in the 17th century when they settled down after their bout with tulipomania, wherein the humble tulip bulb began to sell for prices to make New York Realtors blanch.

As much as the tulip is associated with Holland, it is not native there. Rather it was introduced in 1593 by a botanist named Carolus Clusius, who brought it from Constantinople. He planted a small garden, intending to research the plant for medicinal purposes. Had Clusius’s neighbors been morally upright, the tulip might still be a rare exotic in the gardening world. Instead they broke into his garden and stole some of his bulbs in order to make some quick money, and in the process started the Dutch bulb trade

this issue is not what Trump said....no one cares...the issue is how trump thinks....which is inaccurate...he doesn't think...and that is what makes him so dangerous as the president. He cannot be given this power and risk the entire world safety with someone with such a low level of judgement.

Sorry Jack,

I can't actually believe that. Consider last nights debate, Hillary came off a weak third in a two party debate. Hillary's scandals came in second. Too much wrong with her to trust her based on the known issues from her past. The Rapist that she got off by pulling a fast one with the evidence. i.e. The first DNA test of the panties showed the girls blood and the Rapists semen. Hillary took it 1500 miles overland to another dna test but the section that had the blood and semen was not there and had mysteriously disappeared from the evidence with the only thing showing was the hole the missing section was cut out from. Then there's the unreasonable pass she got from Cormey who by the way was on the board of the Foundation. She don't play fair and by my lights has no Moral compass, integrity, compassion, or any other human characteristic except Greed and self aggrandizement. Don't forget the Uranium deal she brokered, and the e-mail about the $1 million donated to charity and that charity being the Foundation so in effect she donated it to herself. Or how about the Haiti issue. Just too much against her to trust with the nuclear trigger especially with her snap judgment anger issues and even the flip flops that are shown in her own words on videos where she says totally contradictory statements depending on which way the political winds are blowing. If you think Trump has said bad things how about all the Racist and demeaning comments that she has uttered see; http://hillaryclintonquotes.tumblr.com/  , http://ijr.com/wildfire/2016/10/710446-11-extremely-vulgar-comments...  , http://www.davidstuff.com/political/hillary-quotes.htm . Those are all verified as true and actually said by Hillary.

No Jack,

It's Hillary that we can't trust because of what she does and continues to do. Even last night when she tried to dismiss the accusations trump spoke of she did not come off as truthful between the body language and the awkward statements that proved to be lies through fact checking.

Why Are Americans Seemingly Indifferent to the Nation's Transformation
By Stephen Bennett

Just before he was elected president in 2008, Barack Obama promised to “fundamentally transform” America. Sad to say, after eight years as Chief Executive, he has largely succeeded.

What did Presidents Hoover, Truman, and Eisenhower have in common?

This is something that should be of great interest for you to pass around. I didn't know of this until it was pointed out to me.

Back during the great depression, Herbert Hoover ordered the deportation of ALL illegal aliens in order to make jobs available to American citizens that desperately needed work.

...

Harry Truman deported over two million illegal aliens after WWII to create jobs for Returning veterans.

In 1954 Dwight Eisenhower deported 13 million Mexicans. The program was called Operation Wetback. It was done so WWII and Korean War veterans would have a better chance at jobs. It took two years, but they deported them!

Now, if they could deport the illegal aliens back then, they could surely do it today. If you have doubts about the veracity of this information, enter Operation Wetback into your favorite search engine and confirm it for yourself.

Why, you might ask, can't they do this today? Actually the answer is quite simple. Hoover, Truman, and Eisenhower were men of honor, not untrustworthy politicians looking for votes!

Reminder: Don't forget to pay your taxes - 12 to 20 million illegal aliens – are depending on it.

You are so correct - and Wetback was a success.

What is wrong with our Government?
Most of us believe that Congress makes laws, the President executes laws, and courts adjudicate disputes, but this is not the way our government actually works. Today, bureaucrats make law, execute law, and adjudicate. Although the laws made by agencies are called rules or regulations, they carry the force of law. The administrative state is inconsistent with the U.S. Constitution. Article I, section 1 of the Constitution states that all legislative powers shall be vested in Congress, yet Congress has transferred its powers to these agencies why because the federal government has grown so large that it cannot govern itself. Most of what these agencies do should be and traditionally was function of the States. The Constitution clearly requires the separation of powers, yet powers are combined in administrative agencies. Finally, many agency personnel are unelected and unaccountable, despite the republican principles on which the Constitution is based. The revolt of the people against this policy is demonstrated by the huge support for Mr. Trump, it is not that Trump is the perfect candidate, but he is the first candidate to support the peoples revolt against the establishment. Their wish is to return the function of governing the people to the States, where the people have greater control over the function and growth of government.

congress approves the formation of each federal agency....sending the federal regulation back to the states would be a nightmare of a job for the congress to regulate all 50 states. A very inefficient way to govern.

Jack,

You seem to forget the Founding Fathers wanted the Federal Government to be inefficient as the States and the people were invested with the major share of the power until the three words in the 14th amendment "NO STATE SHALL" flipped the control to the Feds and away from the people and the States.

what the founders knew back then cannot be considered in today's times. If the government operated that way it would be mass chaos and each state would be spending money and achieving nothing. The word federal regulation would not exist and regulation in its basic form would not exist. Imagine a corporation with 50 businesses in 50 different locations operating independent of the Corporate direction.

There are way too many agencies working against WE THE PEOPLE. Why are the IRS, BLM, EPA, and so many other agencies being armed.  Also, why do we need the FBI, the CIA, Homeland Security (and I blame Bush for that one), FEMA and several other security agencies also armed.  And why are they all working on the same issues. Waste of Taxpayer money, Illegal search and seizure, and even murder - in my opinion.  That is why we need to take back the controls of our country. Is Trump the answer, not really, but he is the start. And Hillary would continue what Bill Clinton, and Obama have made worse for our people.

Virginia,

Can you say Ready Reserve, or much more accurately Geheime Staatspolizei ? I fear that's why every agency has been armed, That and to dry up the ammo from the citizenry so they can keep their guns but not be able to use them. Except of coiurse Organized Crime, Gangs, Islamic Fundamentalists.etc., You know, the run of the mill groups Obama approves of.
