Citizens Dedicated To Preserving Our Constitutional Republic

FAIR WARNING TO ALL AMERICANS! If you don't want a repeat of the 2020 election, you must demand your State Legislators call congress for an Article-V Amendment proposal Convention where the people will have the say instead of a corrupt Congress.

>

When according to the provisions of Article V of the United States Constitution, the State Legislatures petition congress for an Article-V Amendment Convention, Congress is required to call it and then step back and let the States take charge. The Congress has managed to find ways in the past to scare the States and the People away from doing this. They do so because it would signal the end of their power to rule over the people, and would relegate them to again becoming the representatives of the people instead of as now being their overlords.

>

First a little history lesson that does not seem to be being taught in civics/government classes. The Constitution was formed by our Founding Fathers, to hold the Federal Government in check to the peoples will, instead of it becoming a pseudo monarchy ordering the people on what they are told by the government to do. You can see the government has managed to morph itself into that exact mold today. It started with the provision in the 14th Amendment containing these three words; "No State Shall". Those words over time since they were ratified, have flipped the intent of the Constitution 180 degrees, making the Federal Government the ruler instead of the servant. While the 14th Amendment was laudable in the fact it guaranteed the Freed Slaves Citizenship and the right to vote as Free Americans, it was not intended to do what the Liberal/Democrats have changed it into through Supreme Court rulings.

>

To see what the original 14th was, and with commentary by the members of congress who sponsored it, on what it was intended to do, see; http://www.14thamendment.us/amendment/14th_amendment.html.

It was never intended to do what it is doing now, and there are other Amendments that secure the same protections, but with explanations, so they can't be bastardized into what the Democrats made the 14th into.

>

Moving on to the idea of an Article-V Amendment Convention. The last time the idea of an Article-V by the States came up was when people were charged up about a balanced budget Amendment that would force Congress to obey the peoples wishes. The predominant Democratic Congress derailed it by passing the Graham-Rudman-Hollings Act of 1985 stopping that attempt cold. However the Pro-Democrat Supreme Court declared it Unconstitutional in 1987. The mass appeal of the balanced budget Article-V never regained massive public support because of that ruling.

>

During the time the public was enamored of taking back the reins to power through an Article-V, the opposition forces used every dirty trick and lie to try and dissuade the public. They put out outright lies that the States calling an Article-V would be A Constitutional Convention and in effect would open up the main body of the Constitution and allow it to be changed. The truth is, the Article-V Amendment provision was put in by the Founders to allow temporary modifications not of the main body of the Constitution, but the way the articles were to be interpreted by the Federal Government, the Federal Courts, and now the States and State Courts as the Law of the Land.

>

This was done when the original Articles of Confederation and Perpetual Union, was written as the first Constitution of the United States. It proved to be too rigid to work with when a crisis or other necessities arose. The Amendment process was conceived as the way to keep the original Constitution forever intact, but give enough wiggle room that the people could meet new needs and conditions throughout time.

>

We are now faced with what some call a Constitutional Crisis. It was brought on by the alleged collusion of corrupt representatives and other entities, to overthrow the precepts of the Constitution and the government, for their own personal power and financial gains.

>

THE PEOPLE HAVE THE POWER TO STOP AND REVERSE THAT SITUATION!

>

It can be done by demanding their State Legislatures petition Congress for an Article-V Convention. With the amount of the Conservative Legislatures in the "RED" States, many Amendments can be proposed to take back the powers that were stolen little by little from the people by the Federal Government. Many anticipated actions that could or would be detrimental to the people, could be blocked.

>

I believe than many people are frightened by that amount of power in the peoples hands, but that is exactly what the Founders expected when they gave Americans SELF RULE. It also helps to realize that Amendments are not set in stone, and are only meant to be temporary, and dependent on the will of the people to maintain them. We have the inherent right to propose and create amendments, and to repeal any amendment that 3/4 of the states decide to vote for or against. The protections are the same regardless if Congress proposes an Amendment or if the people propose an Amendment. However does anyone really think Congress would propose an Amendment which would diminish their power, time in office, or pay?

>

I say it's time to strike while the iron is hot, while we have a definitive majority of Conservative States to pull this off. I also know there is another method called then Convention of States.

I do understand if 34 States decide to send Congress an Amendment proposal, Congress would probably have to send it out to all 50 for ratification, but they might try to block it by saying it was not a properly called Amendment convention to derail any amendment. There are 15 States currently calling for a Constitutional Convention/Convention of States, for the specific purpose of creating a Balanced Budget Amendment.

>

Many Americans are confused by this and it is dangerous because, if all 50 States call for a Constitutional Convention/Convention of States instead of an Article-V Convention, the entire Constitution can then be opened.

We definitely do not want that to happen. It would destroy the United States.

>

So, I would suggest the COS people combine with the Article-V people and call for the Article-V convention to propose several Amendments directed at curtailing Congressional Power and ending the current judicial abomination of Legislating from the Bench.

>

The States need to adopt Legislation detailing what their delegates to an Article-V are allowed to do and also how those delegates are elected or appointed in the first place.

Consider carefully what course of action to take because we are in a crisis situation that could end badly to tragically if we take the wrong road, or if we do nothing still trusting in our broken and possibly corrupt Congress to do the right thing. It does not work that way in the real world.

This is a state of concern.  My husband seems to believe it won't affect him - his health has been deteriorating for the last 3/4 years so he believes he'll be gone.

However, we have 4 grown children, 3 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Their future is at stake and the current government has no intention of working with all Americans.  You are right - we are in a serious crisis.

And we need hands on by those who can make a difference.

Thanks Virginia, I agree with you..
