Citizens Dedicated To Preserving Our Constitutional Republic

Tuesday the U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon called the United States as a "deadbeat" donor to the world body. Nice huh?

The United States pays 22% of the organization's nearly $5 billion operating budget but he claimed we are perennially late paying its dues. That number, 22% in dollars is one hundred and ten million dollars! Do we have 22% of the total vote value? What does the UN do for the U.S. for this money? Skip that, what does the U.N. do period? Why do we, the tax payers have to pay 22% of the UN’s operating budget?
Here is what the UN does. UN staffer Guido Bertucci the director of - what else? - The UN good-governance office, the Division of Public Administration and Development Management. In the 91-page document, dated May 13, the UN's anti-corruption task force accused Bertucci of nepotism, favoritism, falsifying documents and diverting money in mismanaging a $2.8 million trust fund. Oh there’s more, much more.
The oil-for-food program began as a humanitarian plan to soften the sanctions against Saddam Hussein's Iraq. The U.N. would allow Iraq to sell a certain amount of oil each year, provided that the profits were used to buy food, medicine and other necessities for Iraq's people. Instead, the oil was allotted to politically connected insiders, allegedly including the head of the oil program himself. The insiders got rich while Iraq's people suffered. One beneficiary of the program was U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan's own son, who was employed by a firm that played a key role in the scandal-plagued program.
Remember those cute little boxes we carried around for Halloween marked UNICEF? The German arm of UNICEF diverted about 20% of all donations roughly $130M to pay its staff hugely exorbitant salaries, make plenty of external consultants happy and treat themselves to lovely vacations.
These are just a couple of the wonderful things the UN does with their $5 billion budget. There is also the matter of un-prosecutable crimes such as a murder, a bevy of DUI’s and $5M in unpaid parking tickets in NYC hiding behind diplomatic immunity.
So follow me on this one. We pay 22% of the budget, we have to turn a blind eye to crimes, fraud, embezzlement and corruption which are rampant in the UN but we are the dead beats. That piece of real-estate in Manhattan is worth a fortune but we just let these hoodlums use it for free at our expense.
The UN is an absolutely useless organization. All the sanctions and scolding they issue to tyrants and war lords are meaningless, nobody cares. When I hear on the evening news that the UN is going to step in and issue a sanction against some dictator or war lord for killing a few million people my fears are completely allayed.
Listen here friends. We are in a financial crisis. Let’s throw those bums out, let them pitch their tents out in the Afghan desert for all I care, fumigate the building, appoint Donald Trump property manager, tell him to sell the whole mess and let NYC keep the money!
